I always have the best service when I go through the drive thru bank. This is by far my favorite prosperity branch. The girls working are always happy and pleasant and fast! Niurka(sp) is absolutely amazing and having a little chat while she processes my checks is honestly one of the highlights of my day!

Has to be the worst bank I've ever used. Been with them for almost 10 years and it's progressively gotten worse. Especially in the past 3 years. As a small business owner their policies have become hostile to my businesses. They purposely hold deposits at random and for different reasons on each transactions. All in a game for overdraft/nsf fees to which they cause!! I've caught them repeatedly and have called bank manager. I am officially closing all 3 accounts with this bank and have already established accounts at a new bank. This new bank has been amazing the last 7 mos. They have my back and support small businesses! Prosperity is a nightmare to deal with. I'm finally done. They legally rob you. Run! Do Not bank here.

I was with Prosperity Bank for over 20 years. Looked at my account, there was a deposit and an $25 check in "pending". Guess the $25 hit before the deposit did, they charged me $35 overdraft charge. Ok, I can take that, however they then turned around a month later and charged us $10 for going below 0? For what an hour? Now we did have a lot of money in our savings, but that did not count. I tried to contact them, called the local bank in Bastrop, no one ever called me back. So we took our savings, etc. and moved our account to UFCU, where we are actually making more interest on our savings then we did at Prosperity. Guess being a loyal customer to Prosperity does not pay and then you have to pay them.

We have been with them since it was a credit union, 20+ years. Obviously they were a good bank, and we were happy with them. They are no longer good, and we are no longer happy with them. In fact, they are absolutely horrible. Many times in the last few months we have tried to reach customer service, but we either stay on hold for over 30 mins, or we get hung up on when someone finally answers. Right now I have been on hold for 15 minutes and that is after a very rude girl answered and put me on hold. See, we keep enough in our checking accounts to not take a loss if we are ever compromised, moving funds over from a stand alone account when we need it. But three weeks ago, my husband forgot about a check that was going to hit his account, and when it did we got a $35 NSF, even though we at one time signed up for overdraft protection, and they were supposed to take from the other checking account if it happened, but they did not. We asked about it, and they said they didn't do it anymore. Today I look to find a $20 Negative Balance fee during the period we had the Overdraft fee. Evidently, you now get charged for both fees at this horrible bank. I called and told them they already charged us for the Overdraft even though we had overdraft protection, and now they are basically stealing $20 more dollars under the guise of a Negative Balance fee. She was rude to me like I was a bad person, when they are the FREAKING THIEVES! We will be moving our accounts from this horrible bank. Do not bank at Prosperity Bank, or they will find a way to steal your money.

I want to advise everybody that likes to keep their hard -earned money that they've worked for to not deal with prosperity the fees on everything from moving your own money from checking to savings are outrageous customer service can never understand them and everything that they stand for is not for the people so if you like to keep your money I suggest you go to another bank because they will figure out every single type of way on how to charge you for any little thing !!

I wanted to warn the people about Prosperity Bank. They double-debited my account twice for a $15,000 withdrawal I made in the bank. I noticed the mistake days later and had to fight it to have it reversed. It freaked me out because the bank recorded it as if they gave me $30k cash! Then, I disputed fraudulent charges on my credit card I have with them, and they automatically denied my dispute without asking me for any documentation or evidence. They don't even have a formal dispute process, or send any kind of dispute letter. You just see the charge on your card again without any contact from the bank whatsoever. It's a free for all with your money over there. The new Cinco branch management is unresponsive and disorganized, and now costing me money on fraudulent charges they won't protect me on. Never had this happen at any other bank.

i have been with this bank for 39 years. i have been thru all of the changes that the bank has had. at first they were a credit union which i loved. when they changed from a credit union they have gone downhill, they are in the gutter now. i am changing banks as soon as possible. i am have a rough time right now and they took money from my checking account to cover some overdrafts that my husband and i had in another account, and did not bother to tell me, and they closed the other account. they said that they could not do anything about it. that is their policy. this is the worst bank i have done business with. and now i have enough!!!!!!!!!

Insane overdraft fees, I've been charged nearly $100 for a $30 overdraft. They literally don't offer 2 factor Authentication and when I asked what they do about security they just said they lock the entire account after 2 incorrect password attempts. So if you accidentally lock your account on the weekend you lose complete access to all of your money, all because these people live in the past.

Had a loan with Legacy Bank. Was half way through and contracted Covid. I was in the hospital for 18 days and lost 60% of my lung capacity. Unable to work and notified this bank since they took over the note. They wouldn't even try to settle. They filed a judgement against me even after a hired an attorney to negotiate a payment plan. Judge ruled against me and I had to pay an additional $2,000.00 for attorney fees and additional interest. Sold my car, sold my wedding ring and they are paid in full. Stone cold; never do business here.

It’s very hard to be a customer of this bank. Whether in person or online. Drove around 3 times at this location. No drive through even though it says there is one. If in fact you do have a drive through it would help to have signs on the building directing people to where it is. Like “around the block” or “200 feet this way” or “other side of building” or something. Something to help someone who is actively driving to find and see it.

I have dealt with several banks through my long business career but this is the worst. After 4 months of trying to sign up for online banking for online banking I went to my local branch and the lobby was not open. On February 5th, 2022 they closed the lobby, saying it was attributed to Covid 19. After demanding to talk to someone at the drive thru, I was allowed to come in the bank and talk to the manager. He was on the phone, so I waited and someone else came to the door and I called to the only teller telling her someone was wanting in. The teller told the person at the door that there was only her and the manager there and only one customer (me) could come inside. The poor manager told me that they didn't have enough employees to open the lobby but hoped to have some soon. It was pathetic. Prosperity Bank has the poorest customer service and systems I have ever seen. Anyone wanting to do business with them should consider any other option. These people are out of control.

How I miss Legacy Bank! It is a night /Day contrast between the help and competent customer service of Legacy and the inept customer service at Prosperity Bank. After the automated system fouled up my wife's debit card set up, the customer service said they cannot fix it, then told my wife to call back for a different rep in 30 minutes. How awful is that? This is not the only trouble we have had with the customer "service" dept. When you go into the McKinney lobby to complain, they get upset that you are upset. Does anyone at corporate read these reviews and know what a terrible bank they are running?

We started banking with Plano Bank and Trust 29 years ago, staying with all the turnovers. Prosperity Bank being the latest is absolutely terrible. Unfriendly personnel, dirty entrance into the bank, and a non-responsive branch manager. What kind of branch manager allows trash to settle and stay around the entrance of the bank, picking it up is FREE. We would like to move all of our accounts to a more customer friendly bank, but we are tied up with numerous direct deposits and automatic withdraws. My husband was forced to change his business account number when Prosperity took over Legacy Texas because there was already a Prosperity Bank account with the same number. My husband has had that same number for 29 years. There are plenty of banks to choose from, there is no reason to give this institution a dime of your money, you will get nothing in return.

Have had a business account there for years and years. I would have closed the account and moved on a long time ago but just so many automatic withdraw and direct deposits setup and just didnt seem like worth the trouble of starting over. Lately though, almost on a daily basis, I have to spend hours on end on phone with customer service asking for permission to use my debit card. This is getting old and about at my witts end to point of going to close account and move on to another bank that maybe values their customers a little more.
