“I really appreciate this location at 17th and Brazos. Always good, kind service. Free 30-minute parking in the close covered lot on Brazos. Doesn't feel like the typical post office lines and experience. Kudos and thank you, USPS!”
“Luckily it was pretty slow in here when I came in, but probably the quickest and easiest dealing I've had with USPS. Molly was the staff when I showed up, and she handled everything smoothly. ?”
“These soldiers deal with more problems in 20 minutes than I could have ever dealt with at any of my previous service jobs. Every person that works here deserves to be paid 200K minimum for their service to the bratty, undeserving, incompetent public. Thank you”
“Very fast, prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and caring service, mostly even going the extra mile to help. Never closed before closing time (being lenient with last minute arrivals). Just FYI to note that the lobby hours (i.e. P.O. Box access) for weekend on the web site are not updated.”
“The most pleasant post office trip I ever had. Nicole was patient and very helpful. Facility was clean and efficient. I did not have to wait an entirety to talk to someone.”
“Had a smooth experience opening a PO Box here. Lady at the counter was very helpful and got everything done with no hiccups. Service was prompt as well - even on a Saturday. No complaints!”
“its a small post office but the one guy I've ever dealt with is a good man. he seems to single handedly run the place so kudos to him. thanks for shipping my packages!”
“I came in around 2 today and had the most pleasant experience I’ve had at any USPS. Both gentlemen working were extremely quick, thorough, and friendly. Keaire had the BEST customer service of any rep I’ve ever spoken to, he deserves a raise. I typically wouldn’t leave a review but I just had to.”

7310 Menchaca Rd, Austin“My favorite errands are when I have to stop by USPS because of the kindness, high quality service, and laughs that always come out of my stops to this USPS. I am so thankful for the people who work at our local USPS - thank you for making our days better. You were there when I had to send my wedding invites, get a weirdly shaped care package to my mom, or to find a special family item that was lost in transit - you never give up and always make things easy! I consider this USPS a part of our Sunset Valley community.
The bad reviews for here literally must have gone to a different location and are confused with somewhere else (or just hate mailing things generally).
Pro tip: If you’re confused about something at the post office - Google it before you go! There are endless tips online. And then be nice to my friends behind the desk when you come please :) they can’t change rules / policies / mistakes that happen outside of our USPS!”
“Barbara makes this location incredible!!! She found my missing package after I made several attempts to find it. She kept me updated the whole time and she is my hero for finding my package worth $90. Thank you, Barbara!”
“I drop off my prepaid USPS packages here. So far, so good. I can come in after work and drop off the stuff inside, after hours. They have not lost anything yet.
Knock wood. ?
USPS isn't all bad. Some things they handle just fine.”

6104 Old Fredericksburg Rd, Austin“We had a great and efficient experience renewing/applying for a new passport with Donna!
She was very kind and made the process nice and smooth. Loved talking with her, you can tell she has a kind heart and loves what she does! Highly recommend.”
“You wanna talk about calm and bright this season? Here's where it's at! Barely a line. The woman working today (with lovely patterned earrings in the shape of Africa) was so personable and chill. Great USPS experience!”
“I was skeptical about applying for a passport here due to the bad reviews but I had an easy time getting me and my children’s passports!! The lady was very nice and walked me through the fees. Just make sure you’ve brought all the right documents!”

“Look let's be honest... The general public's pretty dumb, primal and impatient, so I can't imagine dealing with these people every single hour of every single day. That being said, the folks that work here are very helpful, patient and easy going.”
“This place used to have alot of issues but honestly over the last 2-3 things have really improved. They are responsive to any issues communicated electronically. Most of the staff truly seems to care about their jobs.
My business has become somewhat dependent on the post office showing up on time and my mail carrier seems to go above and beyond to make sure my mail gets received when it is supposed to.
I've lived right by this post office for over 10 years. And I think it's important to recognize when things get better and they sure have!”
“I wanted a safe post office to send my important mail. This Stor was fantastic. I love that it also serves as a post office. Very clean inside, and close to Circle C . Staff employee Todd Dunn was helpful and polite.
Refreshing to still receive professional service.”
