Tried to book an appointment for my furbaby, made the appointment and before I could say anything further, I was hung up on. Also, there always seems to be "something else needed" extra exam, shot, test, etc etc. you go in for one thing and multiple other things are "suggested" or "required". Feels more like an "assembly line" than a vet.

I am so happy I decided to take my dog to Petco after mishaps at Petsmart. Whenever I took my dog to Petsmart, she would rumble like an earthquake out of fear and she is not afraid of anything which made me think they mishandled her. On the contrary, I took her to Petco today and my dog was as happy as can be (we saw her wagging her tail through the window while being groomed) and came out looking prettier than she ever has from a grooming appointment. I am so thankful to Jasmine and any other Petco employees who helped with my dog. They really took the time and made sure Ginger was happy and clean!

This is a review of the Hancock location. I went to buy a goldfish. I had set-up a small 5 gallon tank to start. I was told they would not sell me the fish as they need at least a 40 gallon tank. I wasn’t planning on staying with the small tank but after they refused to sell me the fish, I didn’t feel like explaining. The kicker is the fact that there were tanks with multiple DEAD FISH in them. They wouldn’t sell me a goldfish, yet they let fish die and just float in the tanks?! I put the rest of my merchandise back and will no longer buy from the store.

Two visits in a row to get assistance and both trips have had very poor and dismissive service. Go anywhere else.

They have way to many pets for sale that they can't even keep track of who to feed they starve some of them to death.

Love the employees at this Petco. I've taken many dog training classes with my own and my partner's dog. The trainers are patient and knowledgeable. Been going there at least a decade and plan for many more.

I’ve been coming here once a week and every time I would go, I would see this chameleon get worse and worse. today I went to go see him and he was just there hanging, dead with his mouth opened. I told one of the workers and she took him out. One of the ladies shopping there with her kids tried to revive and give the poor little fella some water but he was already gone. the chameleon looked extremely skinny and his water dripper was turned off and so was the chameleon next to him. I wonder how many times workers check on the animals because his water was off, looks like he wasn’t fed and was dead and only realized when I told them. I wonder if they even care for them right at all.

Today I took two dogs to their grooming appointments. First, the service requested was not accurately recorded. I had explained prior to the appointment that each dog had a few very minor mats and was assured they would either untangle or trim them. The groomer, quite put upon, said I'd have to reschedule, and did I want do that. Uhh. No. Not ever. A waited drive and a wasted morning.

Have always my dogs to petco locations & I know it takes several hours to be groomed, but it does not take 6 hours. He is a small, well-kept, 15 pound dog. Nothing crazy. The groomer called me earlier in the day to see if I could bring him 2 hours early, which I agreed to. 4 hours later with no update, I decide to go and check on my dog at the store because no answer on the phone. Groomer tells me to come back an hour later, which I do, and end up having to wait another hour for him to be ready. When I expressed my concern to the groomer (also manager), all she said was she had other dogs and it takes this long anyway, which I disagree. The lack of communication, attitude, and unapologetic manner was unprofessional and disheartening. I work in customer service and I don’t typically complain, but the overall demeanor of the groomer (manager) was not okay. So, if the groomer has a bad day, you and your pet might have a bad day and choppy haircut as well.

Incredible, 5 star service and wonderful, caring staff! I adopted a cat at this Petco, and I was so surprised by the warm welcome and excellent guidance I received from Azul. She did an outstanding, superstar job helping me shop for my new kitty, giving valuable insight from her own cat's favorites with remarkable kindness and patience. Thanks to her, I adopted my sweet, soon-to-be spoiled shelter cat and we are all set with everything we need for a wonderful life together! Thank you so much, Petco and especially to Azul for the amazing, 5-star service and genuine care! You made my day and life!!!UPDATE: Our new kitty is settled in and LOVES everything Azul helped us pick out from Petco! Azul knows what cats like so well and she helped us so much! Thank you!

went in looking for a hamster they did not want to sell me because they said it was a safety concern for the hamster so we decided we would want to get a big fish for our tank again they did not want to sell us the fish cause he said we didn't have our tanks running long enough in all honesty they just were not trying to sell there animals i hate coming to this place to look for pets because they never just want to sell anything i honestly think that if we are going in there to buy anything we should not be turned down we went home empty handed and wasting out time even showing up
