Barkin' Creek Dog Kitchen & Bath - Lamar
2153 S Lamar Blvd, AustinOh my, I will never take my dog anywhere else - she is always so well treated here! Charlie just gave my little girl a groom and it is by far the best groom she has ever had! I’ve had great experiences each time I’ve been (I’ve been coming since last summer), but they really outdid themselves this time. Many many thanks to Charlie! ☺️ We’ll be back in a couple weeks for another groom!

Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital
1000 East 41st Street Suite 820, AustinDon’t be wary of the Petco label. They purchased a beloved local vet clinic named Abraham Veterinary Clinic with Dr. Chan. Dr. Chan is the most caring, warm, and direct vet I have ever had. She offers really helpful information so you can feel empowered to make informed decisions about your own pets’ health. The administrators here are also so wonderful and patient. I had had issues with the past staff here— they were often disorganized and did not communicate well, which was frustrating and made me feel like I was completely alone. But I finally feel like I have support in caring for my dog.

Great Outdogs
1210 Barton Springs Rd, AustinThis is probably the best dog store I have ever been to anywhere in the country! The owner is really friendly, helpful, and cares about both his customers and their furry friends! We live in Oklahoma and come to this store every time we're in town! If you use his dog bath, he also pulls out all the stops with a fan or heater for the humans (depending temp outside), towels, a hair scrubber, and a pitcher for soapy water. Recommend ?!

Tomlinson's Feed
5716 Burnet Rd, AustinHow many pet stores are ever featured on a local tourist information center's website? I wouldn't be surprised if no other pet store in the country is also considered a tourist destination. Tomlinson's is a local pet shop specializing in pet products with integrity. The original Tomlinson's was the first locally owned pet store in Austin. Th Burnet Rd store has many things you aren't likely to find at the pet supermarkets. They have private rooms full of supplies where you can wash and dry your dog. They have an engraving station where you can make tags for your pet. And, they have caring, attentive staff. Right now, they are matching every pet food purchase with a food donation to our local pet shelters. And if you go in the playroom you can help socialize local kitties looking for their forever homes. Going to Tomlinson's reminds you that you love animals in a city of people who love animals too.

Tomlinson's Feed
5900 W Slaughter Ln #480, AustinI went in couple months ago and asked an employee about dog foods for senior dogs suffering from joint pain. The vet suggested a very pricey food for me so wanted to see if Tomlinson had a cheaper option. Employee was very informative to tell me it’s better to get a liquid supplement instead so I thought I’d try it out! My 12 year old dog’s life has been turned around! She doesn’t struggle to get out of her dog bed and has been running around like a young pup for months now!!! Thank you ??

He has always been patient, thorough, and compassionate—qualities that are so important when it comes to caring for our baby Bon Bon.
The entire team is incredible, always welcoming us with warmth and professionalism. Whenever Bon Bon has needed anything, from routine check-ups to more urgent care, I’ve always felt confident that she was in the best hands. The confidence Kay gave me, as well as the support, was truly invaluable. I am forever grateful to Kay and Every Dog and would highly recommend them to anyone. Green Acres Pet Ranch

My girlfriend and I have done both single day doggy daycare and longer term of about a week and both times we have come back to a dog that looks like she has the biggest smile on her face. Our dog is more on the energetic side so its great to know that she is getting plenty of time to run around and play with the others (expect about a day of naps when they get home). Also, Michael is super attentive and clearly cares a lot about all of the animals there. He also is great at making sure no dogs are getting too rowdy so you know your pet is in good hands!

Dog Training Elite Austin
7000 N Mopac Expy Suite 200, AustinBefore Donny and DTE Austin while walking my dog Khalifa if I saw another dog coming towards us, I would move into a driveway or a yard to let them pass. After the first class with Donny I was actively looking for dogs to walk by on the sidewalk. Donny taught me how to have confidence to walk Khalifa by any dog.
Fast forward five weeks, we've completed our 5 private lessons and both Khalifa and I are enjoying our walks together. She makes better decisions, is more relaxed, and I no longer have anxiety while walking my dog.
Choosing DTE will be the best decision you make for you and your dog. The moment you meet Donny, see how professional he is and how positively your dog responds, you will know you made the right decision.
You're the best!

Fond Memories Pet Cemetery & Crematorium
8204 N Lamar Blvd c24, AustinThese folks are top shelf. My best friend's dog died and he was her absolute world. I searched high and low for a place that I felt would do the best job. I read reviews on here, google, and the websites. I read about how everyone handled intake, the cremation process, and all the details. By far this place was the best. They met us at the door and were so accommodating. They were willing to take her fur baby out and bring him into the room themselves or they would let either of us do it. They were just above and beyond in accommodating whatever was best for my friend. They offer every kind of support and service you can imagine. They also offer urns, paintings made with your pet's DNA, jewelry made from the ashes, nose prints, paw prints, a locket of hair, the sky is the limit on what will make you happiest. They have a beautiful and private intake space with a sweet little/or big (whatever your baby needs) basket with a soft blanket for you to lay them on while you discuss your needs. The professionalism and service we received was outstanding. The folks that worked my friend's intake were so compassionate. I have already decided when the unfortunate day arrives for our family and our fur babies, we will be using them. Thank you guys for doing an amazing service for folks that love their pets as family.

The Watering Bowl
820 Farm to Market 1626, AustinI found this spot while searching for a dog park for my small frenchie.
I didn’t realize it was a paid to play place until I got there. $12 a day pass or unlimited $30 a month.
At first I was hesitant because I have never paid for a dog park however, the employee there informed me that the cost supplies employees to watch over the dogs and other amenities.
For humans; There’s tables, two tvs, porter potties, card games, board games and a bar there where you and some friends can enjoy while your doggo plays.
For dogs; The park has a secured fence, water bowls, doggie bags, tennis balls, tables, a LARGE park to run around and water sprinklers to play in.
The park was clean and the employees were friendly. I know it may sound weird to you as well to pay for a dog park but it does make sense for the cleanliness and the other features. Plus a place like this attracts good owners and well-trained dogs.
I noticed two food trucks right outside of the park. There is also a parking lot away from the main street.
I’d go again and get a month pass. My doggo really enjoyed running around with the other dogs.

1156 W Cesar Chavez St, AustinI visited Austin Pets Alive for the first time today. I went to foster to adopt an older cat. They gave me so many supplies and plenty of resources. The way the staff takes care of these animals is beautiful. I can’t recommend APA enough!!!

Neighbors Dog Park & Cafe
5609 S Congress Ave #220, AustinDelicious coffee and croissants! Very friendly staff, including greeter dog. They made me a very custom order, which I really appreciated, and encouraged the specificity. A really great experience.
