I got a lifetime alignment with these people and when I go back to try to get my wheels aligned they always give me some excuse of why they can’t do it.First they couldn’t because I didn’t have my receipt / proof of purchase with me.Then when I bring the receipt the next day they tell me I need to replace the camber bolts.Trust me they do not need to be replaced. They are fine.I went to the other pep boys location (a little up north) and guess what? They said “Yeah, we couldn’t do the alignment. Turns out the camber bolts are fine but you need new struts, new tire rods and a lower control arm”I just replaced my struts last month. These people are either crooks or incompetent.I took my car to Sun Auto and I purchased a lifetime alignment with them. They called me 3 hours later to tell me my car was ready.Here we are 2 weeks later and 265 miles later. The alignment was completed successfully furthermore the wheels have remained aligned.I’m done with Pep Boys.

Took my car in to have the front driver side tire repaired and they replaced my passenger side, rear tire! Didn’t realize it till the next day called and talked to Rich and I asked him what tire did they replace and he just said I don’t know I’m real busy right now I asked him again. What did you replace? Then all of a sudden he remembers and says the passenger rear tire was replaced so I asked him why didn’t you repair the driver side front tire the one that you wrote the work order up for to replace a repair he couldn’t answer me. He told me he was busy and to bring it in the next day and drop it off, not to mention yesterday when I took it in for the repair, I waited f5 hours!

Do NOT come here if you have any sort of tech package / computer system.I came in to have my battery replaced in my 2020 Lexus (simple, right?) All went smoothly but when I went to turn the car on and drive away: my entire screen was fried. I pulled back in, they spent 2 hours looking at it and I finally was met with “Well we don’t know what’s wrong! Take it to the dealership!”Thank god Lexus did me a solid, because that part was almost $15,000 out of pocket to replace and the manager at this location acted like that was just not his problem!You need your tires aligned? Sure, come here. You need ANYTHING under the hood done? Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere because the experience I had here was moronic.

Megan the front desk agent wasn’t very friendly at all. The manager rich walks around with his coffee doesn’t say hello to anyone and doesn’t help her at all. So we waited for an hour & then I saw my car was ready, megan then said okay 10 more minutes and I can check you out. She was on the phone plus had 5 other guest in line and meanwhile rich is walking around not helping her with anything. I don’t understand how a service manager could be there and wouldn’t try to help guests get out quicker or even say hello. I won’t Be coming back here… weird experience.

In the last month, I have had an oil change, alignment, and two tires replaced by Pep Boys at 8917 Research Blvd.I actually canceled my initial appointment, because I was concerned about some of the reviews. Then, I called. The employee that answered the phone was very helpful and knowledgeable. Then, she had me talk to the manager. The manager was very reassuring, explained to me that there have been a lot of changes since the bad reviews, and ensured me, I’d be happy with their work.He was correct.While I waited for my service (both times), the people at the front were very interactive. The manager stopped by on both visits, to make sure that I didn’t have any questions or problems. A mechanic, that was NOT even working on my vehicle, stopped by to say hello, and answer a general tire question for me (and then had a brief chat about a movie we both liked).As far as the service provided, they did a very thorough inspection, and sent me an emailed report. They reported to Carfax. They did a great job on the oil change and the alignment. (I had a Pep Boys lifetime alignment. They honored it without any problems. Do not believe the hype about them not honoring your lifetime alignment.)I ask for suggestions about tires, and they were very helpful. I don’t drive that far anymore, so I wasn’t looking for high-performance tires. They did not try to steer me to the expensive ones. They listened to my needs, and found me the most reliable and reasonable tire for the job. They even added air to my other two tires, to make sure they all matched.The atmosphere was very clean and quiet, and they have a bathroom. I was personally very relieved that they did not have a TV blaring the whole time I was waiting. Bring your phone, and a headset (if you want video entertainment the whole time you’re there.) They have electrical plugs.I was very happy with the service, the location, and the people. So, trust a semi - old chick that is very particular: they’re good folks. Even my dogs met them and liked them.

Bad service, Megan has an unwelcoming demeanor that does not make you return to this location , her body language and communication is so discouraging.Worst oil change ever , found out my oil was leaking all over after my oil change .Also Megan pretended and act like she was blind after I showed her my engine shield board that she squashed into the trunk of my car . Now I have to buy a new one for $300, my car is high maintenance but this Megan showed no sympathy of anything all she said was “ it looks good to her “ . You shouldn’t be attending to customers if you can’t be truthful enough to accept damages you caused . I need a new place to do my oil change going forward unless they change their front desk lady .

Had a 11am appointment to get 4 tires installed i arrived at 10:35. Took until 2:45 for it to be completed. Techs do not know how to balance tires. Get to 55mph and truck starts shaking like crazy. They also managed to install one tire backwards ( different sidewall patterns). Will never go back to Pep Boys again.

UPDATE 1/2/2024So after I posted this review - Pep Boys responded below my review asking us to reach out via email so they can " further look into my situation." We reached out and never recieved a response till this day AND till this day my Jeep Cherokee is STILL misfiring and stuttering after getting a tune up done here @ Pep Boys back in Sept 2024.I initially brought our Jeep here because it was misfiring and after being diagnosed here at Pep Boys on Sept. 11, 2023 - was told it needed a tune up. Gilbert at the front desk was great. We proceeded with the tune up as well as a fuel system cleaning treatment per their recommendation. We picked up the jeep later that same afternoon and noticed it was idleing rougher than it normally would before we took it to Pep Boys and it had a little stutter or misfire when we were stopped at a light or even sitting in the jeep on park with the engine running. Besides the initial misfiring that prompted us to bring it in to Pep Boys on 9/11 the jeep never had any of these issues. I called pep boys back and explained what the jeep was doing and was told that it was left over fuel treatment that was possibly still in the system - to drive it a few more days and it should clear up, which it did not clear up. I made an appt to bring it back in on 9/16 because it was still stuttering and misfiring after the tune up on 9/11. You can reference the comment section when i made the 2nd appt on 9/16. At this 2nd appt or courtesy check as they called it - again they said nothing was wrong with my jeep and no one could give me any answers as to why its still stuttering to this day. According to my invoice - all 6 spark plugs were replaced along with an ignition coil, a gasket set and as mentioned before the fuel clean package all for the whopping total of $955.11 and still no answers regarding my jeep. I attempted to bring it in a 3rd time on 9/23 but was told since my engine light isn't on they really can't tell me what is wrong with my jeep. So here we are almost a month later and no one knows why my jeep is still stuttering and misfiring AFTER a tune up here at Pep Boys?! I wish I could literally give this location ZERO stars but with the exception of the wonderful customer service from Gilbert at the front desk - I would NOT recommend this place!

Should have looked at reviews before making an appointment here. Talk to a man on the phone day before appointment explained what all I was looking to get done he tells me sure we can do that for you, only issue is not sure on how long it will take so cant guarantee it will be done before I need to head to work, which was fine. Next morning running a little late try to call to let them know I'm on the way no answer, whatever. Get there the girl at the front desk's just seems mad that I interrupted her and her vaping at the front desk. Then says they can't do the service I need because its to cold out for the machine they need to use to look at it to work. Do not know a ton about car heaters and how to fix them but that seems kinda bs to me, also why would the man on the phone not mention it needed to be at a certain temp for them to even look at it?! go ok can I still get the oil changed at least she says yes goes out comes back not talking to me at all and then goes so it looks like it's going to be $100+ ... for just an oil change? No left to the valvoline down the road. Same oil change for not even $90 and they where a hell of a lot nicer.
