Do not think that by scheduling an appointment you will get in and out quickly! I scheduled a headlight restoration (quick job) and when I showed up at my scheduled time, they told me it would be 2.5 - 3 hours. I was told that the on-line scheduling software allows up to 20 people to schedule per hour, for a shop that looks like it has the capacity to handle 3-4.The lady in front of me also got hosed. She ordered 4 tires on-line, and received an email they were ready, but when she got there she was told that coming in just started the authorization to order the tires.Won't be returning to any location.

Oh my God Daniel and Justin hopefully I got the names right we're absolutely amazing they were able to assist me and also save me a lot of money when you have positive people that aren't about taking a person's money but are really there for the customers and really want to help it shows. I brought my vehicle into their location off of research here in Austin Texas because it stops on me check engine light came on and I was nervous about how much it will cost and Mr Daniel broke everything down for me and Justin the mechanic mentioned hey it may be under warranty we're all about helping our customers and if we can save you some money let's save you some money and they were just very polite and understanding and you don't find that a lot so I really appreciate them doing that I'm a single mother and the fact that they went above and beyond to make sure I understood what the car was doing and how it may be still under warranty was greatly appreciated so very good job Daniel and Justin at peps boy off of research.

Scammers, they didn’t honor the quote and they double charged me for a service that was being done. I had an alternator replaced and they charged me extra for the labor of the serpentine belt. Which everybody knows that ‘s part of the service. I was supposed to get other services done for our other car but I refused to give them another dime. I wished I had read reviews it seems this is their normal. Being dishonest and taking advantage of customers. Daniel the manager was rude and unprofessional and I talked with David the store manager and received the same treatment. I wished I would have read all the reviews before using their service but I acted too quickly.

Daniel was so kind and amazing today. And the technician/mechanic on staff was working hard. There were many customers and I know the job can be difficult. Thank you for installing my battery this afternoon. You two deserve a raise and more staffing ?

So frustrating to be running errands, calmly step back into my van, push start only to have the van steering column frozen and the safety lights are all blinking that the brake system is error, anti lock system and all rest of service lights in error! Talk about mind blown. I called Honda Dealership and they said it sounded like battery failure! WHAT? All lights are blinking and other electrical lights working - just not turning over the engine!I called Peo Boys for assistance for:1st - towing as the van was frozen in place.2nd - to run diagnostics to label the problem.Pep Boys towing was easy to order! Arrived in less than an hour! Eric was such a kind soul and gentleman! He asked van problems. He checked out the van. Hooked up a charger and the van started! Then instructed me that the van could drive to Pep Boys! Just don’t turn it off! Much gratitude given!!I drove to Pep Boys. Front desk clerk, Daniel explained that yes, my description of van happenings sounded just like Honda battery symptoms! I asked to have a diagnostics ran also. Left for home.2 1/2 hours later - my thinking is pick up tomorrow - I was back paying for services rendered! Pep Boys had me back on the road home! Calling for help and back home - 2 1/2 hours! Service is not dead! I trust Pep Boys! I’ve used them for years and will continue choosing their trusted service and assistance when I have car trouble!

Had a tire leak that couldn't be plugged. Normally would not buy tires at Pep Boys but the price was competitive and the manager was really helpful explaining my options for an AWD Outback. And it was a Sunday. Pleased with the installation. Immediately appreciated the improved ride.

My overall experience was okay. I can only complain about the availability of tires that i originally came in for, they only had 3 of the 4 tires i wanted. the service manager was very kind, and discounted the price of install and road hazard because i waited 4+ hours for tires to be changed.

The worst experience ever. I ordered 4 tires with delivery to the store and installation via Amazon 3 weeks before the installation. I spent 25 minutes (just one way) driving to the Pep Boys only to learn from an indifferent guy that they couldn't do the service because they were overbooked. They had 3 weeks to organize the schedule or call me, but why bother? And even worse, when I tried to pick up the tires to have them installed anywhere else, they "couldn't find" one of tires. I will avoid this business at all costs.

Yellow scratch on my front bumper and bent out of shape after Pep boys tire service. Would not recommend.

Do not bother using the online appointment feature because they don't use it. It is still first come, first served. I made an appointment for 10am and when I showed up, I still stood in line for 30 minutes only for Gilbert to tell me and another customer that 10am did not mean anything to them. There were 5 10am appointments on that day. When I told Gilbert that I needed to use my alignment because I had new tires, he asked if I purchased the tires from Pep Boys and I told him no because they did not carry the Continential tires in stock and I had purchased them from Discount. He said that my alignment program did not cover tires purchased from another company and that it was considered maintenance. Yes, putting on new tires is performing maintenance to the alignment at least in his eyes and he said the details were in the fine print of the contract. I asked them to check the alignment because the Lubbock store where I purchased the alignment package mentioned nothing about that requirement. He said to give him a couple of hours, mind you this was 10:45am. He said they would call. I waited until 4pm and called as I had not heard anything and Gilbert told me that the car was going to be put on the rack and to give him another hour. He calls me at 5pm to tell me that the tires are too worn on the driver side and they would not perform the alignment. I argued that wear is a function of alignment and he then said, "the tire was separating and was hopping". I took the tires back to Discount who said the tires were good and the wear was 8 9 9 on the 3 patch areas and well within standards. In other words, if you purchase an alignment program from Pep Boys and the alignment deviates for what ever reason and the wear is slightly uneven, they want you to purchase brand new tires from THEM. If you buy them anywhere else, they just refuse to service your car. This is a SCAM! Do not go to Pep Boys and never listen to Gilbert in the Austin area, he floats from store to store and is a liar and a cheat. I spoke with the tech who worked on my car and he said he never drove the car more than from a parking spot to the ramp. Tell me again Gilbert how my tires are separating or hopping? LIAR!!My assumption is that this is the Pep Boys policy and he is upholding it because he needs the pay check. Not sure but Pep Boys has seen the last of my money and I will make sure everyone I know is aware.

The service and management here is extremely poor. They charged me for a service I never received and I have been trying to receive a refund for 2.5 months. David, the store manager told me to meet him at the store on Saturday to finally put an end to this process and get me my refund. I go to the store on Saturday and guess who’s not there, David, and I still don’t have my refund. My whole entire experience with Pep Boys has been awful and I will definitely never come here again. I came here for tires. I usually use Discount Tire and their service is far superior compared to Pep Boys. I will be returning to Discount Tire in the future.

Booked some time to have 4x new tires installed. The tires are great value and the install was $100 only. All in what cost me around $650 here would've cost closer to $800-$900 elsewhere. Very happy about that.Daniel the asst manager was professional, kind courteous and followed up and kept me in the loop the entire process. He was also super helpful with multiple calls, when the tires I ordered online took a couple of days to find. Not this locations fault, but rather one for their HQ team to probably take a look into. The team here did a great job to ensure I was kept in the loop and I was never at left wondering "what is going on?".I would advise any future customers to show some kindness and patience to this team. These guys are busy, and working in tough conditions - ie the aircon is broken and its been 100+ degress. They're a little understaffed right now (2 guys in the shop only and a constant stream of customers/cars). That obviously leads to some delays, but again to not fault of Daniel and his mechanic.I would 100% trust them again.

No longer a Pep Boys customer! The service staff was mostly helpful, but Pep Boys didn't want to stand behind the 36 month free replacement warranty for a battery that was purchased and installed by Pep Boys due to an error made by their employee (no VIN# on paperwork) when originally purchased. After a frustrating discussion with the manager, they finally agreed to make an one-time "exception" to corporate policy and replaced the battery under warranty but charged me $105 for installation.....a very frustrating and disappointing experience.

Made an appointment for a nail in my tire. I drove 45 min for my appointment to be told they couldn’t help me and my brand new truck had 4 dry rotted tires…. Took to anotherShop…. They were not dry rotted at all… and fixed my flat without an apportionment
