They don’t actually offer all services while they’re open and shut down certain things within open hours. Maybe the actual hours should be posted if they want to close down early?

I’ve been coming here for years and used to have great experiences but the effort from employees is no longer there. They barely greet you when you come in and give you a rude look the whole time you are checking in. Every time I get my spray tan, which is usually twice a week, some or all of the supplies are not filled in the room. One time I told one of the employees I didn’t have any nose plugs and couldn’t find any in a nearby room and she told me to get them out of their cabinet myself. Unfortunately this is now what I have to do every time. I would understand these things not being stocked if they are busy, but I’ve come in on multiple occasions where they are standing at the desk talking on the phone with a friend on speaker phone or with AirPods in acting like you’re interrupting them. They also are not able to answer any product related questions. One employee asked if I wanted to use my tan dollars to buy something and I asked how much something was and she said she didn’t know. I enjoyed my visit here, the staff was nice but I could tell they were ready to leave even though they still had an hour left to be open. They were helpful but I wish they would have been a little more detailed in what to expect since this was my first spray tan. The facility was clean, and the results were nice. Will definitely go back, just not as late as I did previously.

I cannot believe that tanning studios are still a thing. There was a lady at work who looked like a boiled lobster. Dark brown- red. So unnatural.She looked awful. I stopped seeing her at work, and l learned she was dead. From skin cancer. From indoor tanning. She absolutely ruined her appearance, kept tanning till it killed her. Sad that these places are still legal.

The door is always locked during “open hours”. I’ve been here since 8 am to spray tan (bc traffic is insane in this city literally the only time I’m able to come) and no one is EVER there. It’s 830 I’ve been here for 30 minutes. Door is locked. No answer on the phone. Other cars and people are waiting as well. The girls and the managers here won’t care either… nothing happens whenever there is a problem. They just go to the back and act like they’re calling someone when things go wrong. Just a bunch of girls texting on their phones behind the counter. friends come in and sit with the employees on shift. Beds are always broken and the staff doesn’t know how to operate them anyways. No accountability or professionalism. If you can’t have an employee present during “public hours of operation”, what are you doing? At least have some respect and change the hours for those of us who have to plan ahead of time when to come. Simple.

Wanted to come on here and give positive feedback about Eve, one of the PBT employees on S Lamar. Eve is one of the most kind, welcoming, enjoyable and helpful employees I have ever encountered. I have been tanning at PBT since I was 18 (I’m almost 23 now) and I worked at PBT in college for 2 years. She never fails to have a positive attitude anytime I come into tan. She goes out of her way to recognize customers and learn them by name, ask them how there day is, and shows effort to build a caring relationship with them! Some days I get off work and am to tired to go tan, but I simply go just because seeing her is so enjoyable! Every time I come in (which is often) she is always doing something busy around the store. Whether it’s sweeping, cleaning beds, organizing lotion, checking customers in, etc. she is always on top of things! I used to work at PBT and I know it can be stressful at times, but when I say Eve always has an amazing attitude I mean it! If Eve moved locations in Austin, I would move with her LOL! Just wanted to recognize an amazing employee. ❤️

I have been going here for 10 years and have loved it here … until today.I went in to spray tan for the first time in months. I pulled up the app and it asked me to log in. I couldn’t remember my password so I was trying to reset it when the person at the front desk, I believe her name was Hailey, said she could just pull it up using my name. When she did, she said I had an outstanding balance of $188. I was confused because I had sworn I saw my $59 taken each month from my checking account. When I tried to open my bank app, it wouldn’t work so I trusted her and gave her my card to charge.After this, I was able to open my bank app and found all the monthly payments made on time. At the same time, I was able to log in to my PBT app. She scanned it and said that that I was indeed, fully paid. She said the other was a second account that wasn’t active and agreed I was fully paid up.I asked her to refund my $188 and she told me that it was up to me to call customer service to get it refunded because she couldn’t do it. No apology. No “let me call my manager to see what I can do”. NOTHING. She literally said, “you can call customer service and they will decide if they want to refund you.” Wait, what? I trusted you knew what you were talking about and now it’s up to me to get my money back?I asked if they were open and if would they would actually pick up, she said yes to both. So I called. It went straight to voicemail.I asked again to get a refund since it’s obvious I was paid up. She again told me I’d have to call customer service and I could deal with it. I started to get upset and asked her to call a manager. She took the phone and walked away saying she was calling the district manager. She was gone for 3-4 min and walked back with the phone hung up. I asked why I couldn’t speak to the district supervisor and she said she never answered but she did find out that customer service wasn’t open on the weekends.So you didn’t talk to anyone but somehow got new information about customer service?Look … everyone makes mistakes. I get it. But to make a mistake with ZERO apology, lie about speaking to a manager/supervisor and say it’s up to me to fix her mistake is the worst customer service I’ve seen in a long time. Especially for a customer that has been going here for 10 years.

Beat place to tan close to DT. Fair prices, and the staff mention upsells and lotions, but in no way do they push that bs on you.Staff friendly, never packed, CLEAN, easy to park.Cost: about $30-45 a month based on quality of bed and $20 startup fee. I used a coupon and skipped the startup. All in all I spent $100 and got 2 months u limited in really good beds/stand ups.Check the website for coupons and bring the QR code.

Pretty irritated… I work 12 hour shifts and I rarely get to even use my membership nowadays… finally went tonight and the times on my laptop do not match the times posted on a sheet of paper on the door.

I came here a few days ago after looking up a salon that would offer simple tanning. I was so surprised when they had a bunch of really cool features besides bed tanning. Sam, the manager was so cool, educational and gave great advice. I had never gotten a spray tan. I just got one and I feel like a golden goddess! She helped me pick a good bronzer and scents for my spray tan. I seriously love it. Aside from that, she helped me find some good lotions for face and body, without breaking the bank or feeling like she was just trying to sell me stuff! Love my products and my tan!! Will be making usual visits!! Also really clean and sanitized.

I've been going to palm beach for quite sometime, and no one has been as helpful as the S.Lamar location. Every employee has been amazing but I specifically want to point out Grace! She always gives me so much helpful information on spray tans and what to recommend with my budget I have. Grace lights up the room with her service and attitude! Thanks for being amazing!
