“Service at Austin Subaru is always excellent. It's easy to schedule online and they generally have lots of availability. The service reps are friendly and communicative. Their prices are reasonable, less than other non-dealer shops that I've been to, and the work is always done quickly. They never try to upsell me. My rep today was Ariel and she was great - friendly, kept me up to date, responded to my calls quickly. I'll always take our Outback to Austin Subaru for service and will keep buying Subarus for the foreseeable future.”

“I replaced my own rear shock absorbers and came in for a wheel alignment since it's been over a year since I've had a wheel alignment the inspection showed me what was uneven and they were very helpful the gentleman at the front got me checked in quickly and everyone the entire team was helpful and very professional it was worth going to Brake Check as a first time customer I'm very impressed I waited less then 15 minutes and it was a very good price, I plan on coming back for a coolant flush soon thank you guys God bless I would give a 10/10 stars

“Such an amazing, honest shop!! Our car randomly started screeching and we assumed we’d need brake pads or rotors changed or something that would cost us a bag. These guys were so nice, found a tiny rock in the backing plate, and got us in and out in 30 minutes. With the way the car sounded, I’m pretty sure other places would’ve turned this tiny problem into an unnecessarily costly one. Would definitely recommend!!”

“I first took my 2004 Lexus RX330 to Bearden Automotive in March 2016 for a routine 5K mile oil change and check-up. Because Bearden has professional mechanics who work on Toyota, Lexus, and Scion vehicles, I was comfortable taking the car there rather than to the dealership. The cost of the oil change and check-up was much less than it would have been at the dealership.
Since then, Bearden has become my “one and only” shop for routine maintenance as well as all repairs - small or large. When I take the car in with a problem, they diagnose the issue, explain what needs to be done, how long the repair will take, and the total cost. If there is more than one repair option, they fully explain the differences and provide the cost of each one. There are no unhappy surprises.
My Lexus is now at 172K miles and is still peppy and purrs like a kitten. Josh and Albert are professional and welcoming. Believe all of the 5-star reviews.”
“I was traveling through Austin with my family in our Honda Odyssey when the van started vibrating at 65–80 mph — the steering wheel and front panel were shaking pretty badly. I assumed the front brake rotors and pads needed to be replaced, so I called Groovy Automotive.
After listening carefully to my issue, they told me it didn’t sound like a brake problem at all and suggested it could be the tires. They honestly recommended that I stop by Discount Tire instead of trying to sell me unnecessary work. I followed their advice, and sure enough, my front tires were worn out. After rotating and balancing them, the van drove perfectly again.
I’m extremely grateful for their honest, professional guidance. It’s rare to find a shop that puts integrity first. Highly recommend Groovy Automotive — truly reliable and trustworthy!”

“I went to a quick change station for a flush and fill brake fluid. The so called mechanics did something to my brakes where they did not function correctly. I went to M E Gene Johnson Garage and explain the problem. They listened, and told me they would take care of the problem. These guys are professional, caring and work in a very efficient manner. I have been to them in the past and have no complaints. They fixed my car and I feel much better. They have my recommendation.”

“I really like the Austin Automotive in my neighborhood. I have gone to other locations as well and always found good service with competitive prices.
I am posting now several years later. I've stopped going to Austin's Automotive Specialists because I had the same reoccurring problem and it was rather expensive involving the pistons, spark plugs, and wires. And it seemed each time it was repaired, it would break again and always after the warranty had expired. That is not their fault. All the parts were being made during and even after Cvd didn't last very long; poorly made.
To make a long story short I was recommended to another mechanic. They repaired the car and explained that my previous mechanic was using cheaper parts. They installed the parts recommended for my car and I haven't had any issues again with that same problem.”

I came in with an issue that was actually caused by another store, and not only did Matt identify the problem quickly, but he and his team also fixed what the other location couldn’t. I really appreciated their honesty, professionalism, and willingness to make it right—even though it wasn’t their fault to begin with.
Also want to give major props to the district manager for stepping in and ensuring the situation was handled with care and integrity. It’s clear that customer service still matters here. This kind of accountability and follow-through is rare these days. I’ll definitely be coming back to this location for future service.”

“My car broke down and I had it towed here. The issue was under warranty, and instead of charging me $1000 to fix it they told me to take it to my dealership to get it fixed for free. I would have had no idea about the warranty until they told me & they even printed out the warranty details that I could bring to the dealership.
