We decided to check out Norte while sitting in at Hi Sign Brewing, and I am very grateful we gave it a chance. I approach with the intention of grabbing one or two asada tacos, but the menu and pictures I saw were too tempting, and it was hard to resist everything else I had to offer. The tacos were amazing and overflowing with carne asada, which is always welcome! My favorite, though, was the hotdog, which I was not expecting to love as much, but as someone who grew up with Mexican hotdogs on the south Texas border, it's nice to see these up here in Austin. We had a bit of a wait (~20 min), but nothing too bad as it seemed to be a busy day. We were hanging out at the brewery so we didn't feel it much. Staff were friendly and prices were reasonable for the area. I recommend you check them out!

I came to Hi Brewing for the beer and decided to taco chance on Norte, it didn't disappoint ;) It was busy on a Friday, but I loved that all ordering took place online. No need to wait in a long queue, simply enjoy a seat outside and get called up when it's ready. I got the El dorado quesadilla ($9.50) and Al pastor tacos ($4.25), they were all spec-taco-lar :) I would definitely recommend it if you're in east Austin.

Got to Hi Sign before it got busy so service was super fast. The chef was walking around talking to customers which is always nice to see. Tacos were perfect size and the flavor was delicious. Street corn was one of the best I've had. We will be back to enjoy more of the menu!!

Some of the best tacos I have had in Texas. If you see the truck I highly recommend stopping by and grabbing a few before they sell out. The service is amazing and everyone was helpful and friendly. Usually the truck is located in different areas but there are plenty of seats available and games or music happening making it a fun atmosphere.
