This is a great lodge. I had to book something last minute, and they were able to accommodate me at a fair price.The front desk receptionist was personable and funny, so check in was pleasant.The overall feel was very charming, and exactly what I wanted for my first night in Texas.An added bonus was they had the western channel, so I was able to watch Gunsmoke on TV before going to bed.Anyone who left less than 5 stars is probably a city slicker from New York, so please ignore their reviews. Come support a local business. You won't be disappointed.

Loved this place, 5 stars. The setting (gorgeous mtn views overlooking the pool), the spacious rustic rooms, and the genuine staff at the front desk made such a difference. The lobby is even beautiful with high ceilings where you eat breakfast: was decorated tastefully for the holidays. I will recommend to family when in town. Thank you so much for high customer service. Safe too!!

I was there for the Thanksgiving Holidays. The accommodations were good. The hotel is a little old but very charming. When I checked in, the young lady assisting me checked my room to make sure it was clean and ready. The room was comfortable and had everything that I needed. The location was perfect and easy to navigate. The staff was pleasant and I would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed staying there and the service was excellent. Alexa went above and beyond in several areas and when we needed help she was so polite and professional that we never felt like a burden. She was incredible and so was the view from our room. The breakfast was great and there was quite a bit to choose from including hardboiled eggs, breakfast sandwiches, fresh waffles and more.

Nice quiet hotel. Close to many restaurants and they let my kids get breakfast the night before, because they had an early swim meet.

Where do I start Terrible spot encountered racism completely. Had a family speaking loudly, saying we’re trying to get all the poor people out. This is the first time I ever encounter racism in this part of town. How do you even allow rotten people like that to stay. It’s been 3 nights here and just once we have had housekeeping. Will never stay here again.

The place needs better maintenance. The tubs are peeling, I had to request that the trash cans by the pool be emptied, the breakfast bar was not cleaned in a timely manner after breakfast. Food prep stuff was still dirty and sitting there at 5 pm. The place is poorly staffed. The front desk person is also the maid service. We were with several families and many reported that their rooms were not adequately cleaned. The ac in many of the rooms was not adequately cooling. My sister had to change rooms because thw room that she had booked did not have a functioning ac. The location is bomb! Right across the street from Target and Home Depot and located closely between 2 HEB's. Great scenic views and closely located to the lake!

This place was really great beautiful view from the balcony where I stayed at friendly staff clean and comfortable rooms. Quiet and a great place to relax. Had a wonderful time with family.

Very disappointed. From the street the lodge looks very quaint, clean and updated. I got a call after check in time saying they would take $60 off my bill if I paid cash for all 4 nights. Never in my life had that happen before. But I did pay cash, and I did give me a receipt on letterhead from the hotel thing I paid in full. On the positive side, they had a sort of breakfast option in the mornings. Cereal, bagels, hard-boiled eggs make your own waffles and microwave breakfast sandwiches. The staff was friendly. There was no room cleaning in the four days I was there, and I even put my trash outside after the second day and it sat there for the remainder of my stay. The room is large that I liked that I had a fridge and microwave but the room smelled like mildew. It was a pretty strong smell. I do have to say the bed was very comfortable . The biggest disappointment was that we got all dressed for the pool only to find it literally too disgusting to enter. It was cloudy with god knows what floating in it. Opting for health we left. I will not return.

The lodge located in a nice and convenient location in Lakeway Texas 30-35 minutes from Austin airport in a main road with lots of restaurants and shopping areas. A trail of nice walking is around the hotel. My experience of staying for one night was a big disappointment . I’m sensitive to bath room condition. the toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet and was connected to the toilet just in one side. I don’t have to describe how unconviniennt an not safe the feeling of using it. The bath tub was old its layers of colors were peeled off. Some of them were cover with disgusting rug. The sleeping room has an old lodge look but seems to be clean. I was happy too leave after breakfast. Not a place to return.

Huge disappointment. I have had friends and family stay here. Recommended it. Over the last year the rooms and amenities have diminished while the price goes up. It’s really sad.

Pool looks like it hasn't been clean, breakfast was ok. Sweet lady in the front came and check us in late. Rooms are nice and clean, however the bed spring needs to be changed.(it makes sounds when you move)
