“What an absolutely amazing experience I had with the Josh Brown Team at Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation. They played an intricate lead role in saving my property while going through one of the roughest times in my life, a divorce. I was awarded the house, but I had to buy my ex-spouse out and it had to be done before a deadline, or I could lose it all. I was approved by three other lenders, but I could not go to closing without a final divorce decree. I had an iron clad mediated settlement agreement between my spouse and I, but still to no avail would the previous approved lenders accept it. I had just about given up hope and decided to record a video inside and outside of my dream home that I was on the verge of losing. I wanted the memories to look back at. I prayed to God and stepped out on faith knowing that I had to continue to search for a lender that would accept my agreement. My newly acquired divorce attorney, Miguel Castillo from the law office of KIRKER / DAVIS in Austin, Texas referred me to the Josh Brown Team and from there is when I finally felt like I still had a fighting chance to meet the deadline which was approximately less than three weeks away. The Josh Brown team worked closely with my lawyer and stayed in constant communication with me every step of the way. They never promised me that I would get the loan but promised me they would work hard to make it happen if they could and their word stood strong. A DREAM team came at me from all angles, Josh Brown (Senior Loan Officer), Ashley Stevens (Branch Processor), and Rachael Taylor (Assistant to Josh Brown). This team in turn worked with others behind the scenes to brainstorm and collaborate on my behalf. When I hit a small snag in the process, I was told not to worry and to let them do what they do best and that is go back and brainstorm that snag. My mediated settlement agreement was accepted, all paperwork was approved, Stewart Title Company rearranged their schedule, and I closed by my deadline. I had just felt like I came off a roller coaster and now breathing and crying a sigh of relief. I get to keep my house! I have never experienced such professionalism and a team who I've never met before that cared so much about their client.
