Moving from Houston to San Diego, I decided to hire movers to move my furniture. I initially hired a broker company that in turn subcontracted to Monarch Van Lines. Furniture was picked up on 11/11/22 and the movers told me that it typically would take 2 weeks for the items to be delivered. I waited 2 weeks and there was zero communication the first delivery date was listed at 11/16/22. According to the contract they have 30 business days to make the delivery. Here we are 30 business days later and there has been no response or update on where my furniture is. Currently in contact with the authorities and according to the Texas DMV records they have their license revoked when I was filing a complaint. I had AirTags placed and they mysteriously stopped tracking on Thanksgiving. Will investigate further to see if I can finally have my furniture delivered or if a resolution can be reached

Monarch did a fantastic job on our recent move! We had multiple pickups and set ups and they did it all very seamlessly and efficiently. They were thoughtful and meticulous with the assembly and placement of all the furniture. I can say without question they are the best movers we have used. I highly recommend them!

Please heed my advice and don’t overlook some of the negative reviews like I did because of their decent overall rating. This is my 3rd long distance move, and BY FAR the worst I’ve had. Apparently, no one in this company communicates with anyone else. No one told them how much space I needed and they didn’t have room on the truck. They came back and still didn’t have room or a correct estimate even after having eyes on everything. We were told several different things by different people within the company. They tried to charge us an additional $500 to Saran Wrap a few pieces. I went to lowes and spent $60 and did it myself. They showed up without even calling first and then we made it very clear that our delivery couldn’t be made until Sep 10 because we wouldn’t be there yet. But they called us on the 8th saying they were ready to deliver. Seriously NO communication. Got it delivered. Was earlier than we asked but that’s okay. Contracted out movers were kind, but my goodness this company has awful communication. Tried calling customer service sooooo many times and they keep telling me a supervisor will call me back and no one has ever contacted me.

Several lost large furniture items, other furniture was damaged. Still trying to get them to pay for a claim after 2 weeks. Never answer their phone, and rarely respond to emails.Was assigned them through a broker who purposely way underestimated to give me a “too good to be true quote”, beware of brokers.Monarch movers were friendly and professional. Put stuff in storage and delivered timely. My only complain was the damaged and lost items were never paid for. I tried submitting a claim several times but they continue to ghost me. I paid a a ton of money for them to move, store, and deliver, but they lost the most expensive furniture piece ??.Life lesson: pay for help to load and unload, then drive the moving truck yourself (or find a friend). You’ll save thousands of dollars, have your stuff when you need it, and have less damaged and lost things. Learn from my mistakes. Avoid brokers and full service moving companies.

I cannot begin to complain enough. My mother and I hired this company through a broker to pack and move my brother's belongings after the unexpected loss of my brother. We tipped the packers well and went through most items to make their job easier. They stole the most important, sentimental items. Changed the price constantly. Refused to take phone calls. During such a tragic event, they only made things worse. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

DO NOT USE!!!! Picked my household up in Dallas 4/13/2021 for a move to FL. Unknown to me they held my goods in Austin from 4/13 to 4/26 apparently in an open field because it was rat chewed and covered in rat piss and s**** Jacked up the price twice and attempted a 3rd price increase. My 1 bedroom, 1 person, 897sq ft condo went from 923fu ft for $5508 to 1200cu ft for $7,650. Plus one last attempt was made at delivery for another $600 for 'truck access'. Goods finally delivered 5/2, damaged and covered in rat piss and s**** Boxes chewed open, rat s*** dropping out of boxes as they carried them in, dining chairs wood and upholstery and recliner upholstery rat chewed. Rat s*** and piss in kitchen boxes, had to run every kitchen item thru the dishwasher multiple times using dishwasher soap, bleach, and vinegar. The Packing List was useless at it listed items I did not have and the handwriting was illegible. Listed me with 7-8 side tables, I have only one!! Plus they refused to give me Item numbers at delivery as they came in the door, then they changed to just yelling out what ever item number they wanted which of course included items that were already checked off as brought in. So packing list was basically trash. Damage to several big pieces: Sideboard, Bankers Desk, Hall tree, Dining chairs. And they tried to prevent me from taking photos!!! To top it off one of the movers pried open a lock on my big sideboard, said he was looking for leg that had been broken off, dropped the door wide-open, over-extending the door, which broke out the hinges, the lock, and wood. They failed to take the desk apart into 3 pieces as I specifically instructed so the weight of the drawer stacks crushed the knee panel and center drawer and bent the metal clips that held on the leather inlay top. Every joint was broken and the wood was split in several places. But not to worry the mover stacked the broken desk together and told me "see it's good" DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! Addendum: It's now 1 year later and Movers are not responding to Claims Company's multiple calls and emails. They refuse to answer their phone, 512-994-4114. Unknown to them I have their 'back line", 806-884-4991, but they just hang up as soon as I get 2 words out. Claim Adjuster has closed my claim, says nothing they can do if Monarch refuses to respond to them. So apparently Monarch walks away without taking any responsibility, without paying any damages, continues as business as usual, and I am left with a house full of damaged furniture.

Heartbreaking. Several treasured items were lost. Half of my items never made it to the destination. No resolution in sight. Am willing to update the review if Monarch ever finds my headboard, desk, wedding photo, mirror.......Actually got a call from Monarch saying they delivered to me the wrong mattress and box spring!

We had a great move and I highly recommend Monarch Van Lines. They were incredible! They were fast, efficient, friendly, and cautious. They arrived right on time and got right down to work. They were incredibly hard working and really made our LIVES EASIER. I was so impressed by how quickly they were able to get everything in, and no damaged or broken items. I would definitely trust them again!

Super Pro, courteous, and efficient! A REAL PLEASURE to work with, and to trust with my belongings and move. They did a top job in loading my house from storage to their moving vans; and then in off-loading into my home. Great, careful work. They were excellent in scheduling everything.

Had a great experience with Monarch Van Lines! The three man team they sent packed up my 3br house and are really fast and moved me to my new home within just a few hours. The whole thing took about 4.5 hours. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Monarch Van Lines did an amazing job and tehse guys have experience and know what they are doing, they showed up on time as scheduled, very courteous, they packed my goods CAREFULLY and everything was in great shape when it arrived!, couldn't be happier with their service, thank you guys, you are the best!!!!! oh, and their prices are very competitive.

These guys are the best. I had to move from two different locations into one (along with a pickup of a kitchen table along the way) and they were on time, worked the entire day. They were friendly, hard working, careful and efficient. couldn't ask for a better move. HIRE THEM.

These guys were great. VERY COURTEOUS AND ATTENTIVE. They were careful with all items and ensured that our belongings were properly secured and even put the boxes and belongings where we asked them to. Definitely above and beyond! They were all super-nice guys and I highly recommend them! Thanks guys!

I love these guys! :) They are super amazing! Super accommodating, friendly, and on top of EVERYTHING!
They showed up at 8am SHARP (super awesome and on time!), and started moving everything. I already had everything packed into numbered boxes, and had tried to shrink the workload down for them as much as possible. They had everything out in SUPER FAST TIME! (this is 40 some boxes of varying sizes plus a bunch of furniture!)
