I can’t stop telling everyone how much I love this pharmacy! I am a gender non conforming person and at various previous pharmacies I’ve had a LOT of uncomfortable experiences picking up my hormones, with medical professionals who should know better asking unnecessary and intrusive questions. That has never once happened at MedSavers and I feel confident that it never will. They are personable and very kind, recognizing me when I come in and asking about my day, but also so professional and informed. I really feel safe here, which huge thing for a trans person in Texas. Because they are a compounding pharmacy they can fill a really wide variety of scripts and almost always have stock even during the recent shortages. They also handle refills largely over text which is so convenient it feels unreal, I have them saved in my phone with a lil heart because honest to god I feel like we’re besties- just me and this entire pharmacy. Supporting independent pharmacies is a great way to push back against the general awful trends in the American health system, and it generally comes with lower cost generics and a more personalized approach. Supporting this pharmacy in particular has all those benefits plus a genuine old Austin vibe that will make you feel right at home. Plus they’ve started dropping samples of CBD gummies into my bag recently?? Drop CVS, forget Walgreens, come to MedSavers ❤️

Med Savers saved my life. I had a horrible reaction to a medication a pharmacy had switched manufacturers on. The side effects put me in the most frightening situation I have ever been in.My sister called the pharmacy and the woman on the phone literally dropped what she was doing and started searching for my previous medication. It had been discontinued and it was not easy to find. I had called my previous pharmacy and they were no help. I actually called around to many pharmacies and no one seemed to care or had any suggestions.Chris and his staff not only found my medication, but they were compassionate, caring, extremely concerned, and were the only people that believed the reaction I was having. They also assured me that this has happened to others.I have never had better customer service in my life. Chris and his staff go beyond that, they truly care! I would give them 100 stars if I could.

I wish all pharmacies were this good!They go above and beyond to get the medications you need, at the best price, and as conveniently as possible.I have a health condition that requires me to take medication for the rest of my life so having a great pharmacy is SO helpful.

I haven't even actually used this pharmacy yet but am already impressed with their level of customer care and kindness. I''ve been having so many issues getting a particular Rx filled and it'd been causing stress and anxiety the past few wks when I finally came across MedSavers. Special shoutout to pharmacist Marjan who actually took time out of a busy Saturday to double-check some guidelines for me and she ACTUALLY CALLED ME BACK when she said she would. She was also very kind and empathetic. I'm so relieved I can finally go back to my doctor and have her send my Rx without so many complicated unnecessary issues. THANK YOU!

We've been going here for years. The pharmacist/owner is incredibly helpful and will spend time talking you through the best options for anything you may need and make recommendations you can go back and discuss with your doctor. He even asked me to call him and follow up with him next week to see if I need to make any adjustments to the dosage of some OTC items as well.

Now my family is taking vitamins to maintain normal immunity, "Orthomune", while we are happy. The choice is small, but a very attentive and helpful male pharmacist. I am grateful to him. Unfortunately, the girls were not so attentive when I arrived the next time.(

This pharmacy is an institution for the uninsured. It’s a drug church oasis for many musicians, artists who can’t afford larger chain drug store prices. The owner Chris knows medicine and is an excellent resource for all manner of alternatives and educated suggestions. His staff is equally adept and wildly knowledgeable, easy to engage and I have never had a negative experience or felt awkward in discussing anything sensitive. This is old Austin good people doing saintly things. I absolutely suggest this as my favorite pharmacy, no question. Also, incredibly inexpensive generic drugs. Good day!

I absolutely love this place!! I found them over COVID and they are so helpful and understanding! Thanks for being there and dispensing all our prescription drugs at a reasonable price and knowing when you can compound a prescription to save us money. My name is Rhonda K.Badgett. I was in Medsavers to pick up my grandsons’ medication. I was told on the phone that they would be ready around noon or 1215. So I drove over I live across town. When I got there I I checked in and told the young lady what I was there for and then I asked her if I could use the restroom and she turned around and said we do not have a public restroom. I have nurtured and taken care of people all of my life I cannot imagine telling someone they cannot use the restroom. I also Know if a person asks to use the rest room they Really need to go. I was humiliated and embarrassed, And very uncomfortable as I had to leave and go and find a place to go to the bathroom.The way I was treated was unkind, no compassion and mean.Your mission statement on your website states that you don’t waste time on insurance, which means we, Medsavers, can focus on the patient.I find the behavior that I received today to be complete opposite from What your mission statement states. Actions speak louder than words. Medsavers, is a pharmacy, which Serves patients Not providing restaurant facilities, it’s not focus on the patient as your mission statement says.

I needed some custom medicine dosage and my doctor's office sent it to Peoples Rx. And while I liked the shop and its proximity to me, I had sticker shock with how much I'd be paying out of pocket per month. I did some googling and contacted a few other pharmacies and MedSavers was the one that got back to me quickly and quoted me the price, which was a fraction of my original cost and within my budget. After confirming with them, they were able to transfer and prepare it shortly after. The street the pharmacy on can be busy during rush hour but the shop had a very chill vibe, and I felt very comfortable. Highly recommend for any custom needs.

Always quick friendly service. They have a nice waiting area as well with toys for kids and magazines as well as lots of local advertising of other business that are health related.Update: 6 years later still amazing and i love love love their pharmacist he is the sweetest most personable professional man. I always feel cared about when coming in.
