Daughter called me in a panic with a flashing engine light and sluggish jeep symptoms. After a little research on mechanics in her area I called Longhorn and got hooked up with Pepe. Glad I did! Daughter loved the fact that Pepe did not talk to her as if she knew nothing about cars (she doesn't) but rather with respect and courtesy. Provided me pics of the new parts, work that was done and what I consider a very fair price. Great experience and my daughter's new go to mechanic that she and I can trust.

What a nice little shop! I ended up here by chance after car battery trouble took me to AutoZone and they sent me to Longhorn Automotive. I got there mid-afternoon with my battery freshly purchased down the street and was able to walk in with no appointment and have the battery installed. The guys working in the bays were super friendly and got the job done before I could even finish my conversation with an employee in the office--it was super impressive. The shop is pretty humble in terms of amenities, but that won't matter because the mechanics here are so quick you'll barely have time to sit down or consider a cup of coffee. All-in-all, very pleased to have stumbled upon this little gem and will be back for future auto needs.

Came here after jiffy lube messed up my tire plug. These guys had me in and out in 20 mins with a new patch. Friendly, fast, and trust worthy.

My car's engine was overheating and they diagnosed and fixed the problem over the weekend. A speedy process and they also replaced my sparkplugs for no extra charge and gave me a good quote upfront. I would return to this establishment in the future for other work I need done to my car. Great place with great people.

Pepe is the guy to see for any car troubles! I was having trouble starting my car and these guys figured it out, swapped the part, and did it all for half the price of other shops in the area. He gave me a quote upfront so there were no surprises, and when I came back my car was starting like a dream! I seriously cannot overstate how pleased I am with the team at Longhorn Automotive.No upsell, No B.S. No problem!Take your car (and business) here!!!

I took a chance on this shop and regret it. My hood latch stopped working, so I asked them to fix it, along with a few other things. When I came back, they told me that all I had to do was push down hard on the hood to close it. When I inspected the hood later, there were about 8-10 hand sized dents on the front of the hood. They later claimed that they didn't do it, that it was your-word vs my-word situation, and that there's no way they could have dented the hood because it's steel. Also that they couldn't fix it without ordering parts, so they had to force the hood closed. I confirmed with a couple PDR shops that you are not supposed to push down on the hood to close it because it's easy to dent. Later that week I found another mechanic who fixed it with a 50 cent bolt and half-hour of labor. Pepe and Longhorn are shade-tree mechanics. I wouldn't trust them for anything more complex than an oil change or tire rotation, because they don't know what they're doing.

After a fender bender, I checked around different shops and they offered the best deal. The car came back good as new and the staff was very friendly!

These guys are awesome! The owner is very friendly and you can tell they aren't trying to upcharge you. I brought my car in after running an OBD2 test and they were able to confirm what service was needed and gave me a very fair price. Will always go to this spot when my car needs service!

Pepe was a great guy!! He was very approachable and explained things to me in a way that could understand, it felt as if he was being genuine rather than trying to take my money. I will be continuing to bring my car back here in the long run

This has been my mechanic since I moved to Austin. As a young woman, I am always leery of being taken advantage of by mechanics, but not at Longhorn Auto. It feels like a partnership. They are willing to talk me through what is going on and let me see and engage with any issues. I trust that they are fair.

Pepe went above and beyond to help my Longhorn daughter with her vehicle. He was very courteous, prompt and fair with pricing. He even drove to her work to bring her car back to his shop. Pepe and Longhorn Automotive are excellent! Great quality of work, very fair prices and a wonderful turn around time too. The traction control and ABS lights came on in my truck and they were able to replace the worn hub bearings in 24 hours.
