I cannot think of anything more Texan. Lone Star Ranch is such a good experience for anyone who is looking for a full day of Texas. They have such a fun summer camp. Group corporate events and anything that you want from a Texas experience. Overall one of my favorite things I have ever experienced. The trail rides are so great and the country side is so gorgeous.

My husband and I had a really nice time at the ranch. The ride was really good, I’m a little nervous about horseback riding but my horse was really chilled. Our wrangler Shay was lovely and really helpful as well. I would recommend this ranch because it was good value for money compared to the other places we looked up near Austin. It’s pretty close to the city as well so very convenient.

A fantastic experience! You will have a short riding lesson and explanation before getting on your horse. My kids and my husband who is an inexperienced rider really enjoyed the experience. A long ride in mostly shaded area! And such friendly people!

Lone Star Ranch is Amazing! I just went for a trail ride and it was an absolutely beautiful experience. I came in as a single rider that got placed with a group and had a blast. Our wranglers gave us time to get to know our horses and told us a little bit about them before we went out on the trails and, I can't stress this enough, it was beautiful!!! We got to ride for an hour and 30 minutes on the property and even got to cross a creek and see some really cool wildlife. We paused for a moment on the trails as we watched a great horned owl fly into the tree tops above us! The wildflowers and cactus are in bloom right now and speckled the trails with bright shades of crimson, yellow, and violet. There were so many different species of butterflies fluttering about while we were riding through the open pasture area. The trail ride is a great for beginner riders with no experience and even as an experienced rider, I never had a dull moment on the trail. If you are looking for something fun to do this summer, this place has incredible hospitality, horses, and scenery to take in!

I recently visited Lone Star Ranch for a company retreat with a group of about 50 people. The ranch was well maintained and clean, providing a great atmosphere for our event. Our group was able to choose 2 our of 4 activities (given the length of time we had allotted at the Ranch for our schedule), including Horseback Riding, ATVs, Cowboy Roping, and Archery/Tomahawk Throwing. The staff on the day of the event were very friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome and comfortable. While the experience itself was great, the communication leading up to the event left something to be desired. There was a lack of response time and direction/details when needed, which made our group nervous leading up to the event. The activities at Lone Star Ranch are tailored towards those with beginner level experience, but they are still enjoyable for all levels nonetheless. For example, the horseback trail ride was only done at a walking pace and the ATV rides, unfortunately, only last for 30 minutes on a short route and had a maximum of 5 participants at a time.Overall, Lone Star Ranch provides a great experience with friendly staff, but be sure to keep on top of communication leading up to your event.

We had a larger event at the ranch for around 150. Overall the experience was very good. We had our guests choose from 5 or 6 activities, had lunch (tacos), beer, smores, and a rodeo. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their activities except for those that signed up for the Cowboy Action Shooting. They were all expecting to be shooting real guns w/ bullets and have something a bit more sophisticated. But, everyone who went horseback riding and fishing had a great time! The food was very good- although the line was very backed up with a group our size, but that can be expected. The rodeo was a fun way to end the ranch day. Staff was very friendly & helpful. For the most part the team was pretty responsive except towards the end which did make me a little nervous- but, in the end everything worked out!

I had not been on a horse for 20 years and went on a trail ride to celebrate a birthday with my niece. I was super nervous about getting on and very scared of falling off. My wrangler Ariel was understanding, patient and helpful in calming me and explaining the connection a person has with the horse, and that Poncho would probably sense my anxiety and my elevated heart rate. About a minute into the ride, Ariel asked me how I was doing and I was literally panicking underneath my skin. She came over to me and got Poncho's rope and held onto it the entire ride. I immediately felt safe, and could actually believe I would enjoy the ride and the wonderful trails, the budding trees and the small creek we crossed. Ariel chatted about the trails and her many years of experience and her love of horses. I actually felt as if I was riding with friends and had the best experience of my life. I highly recommend this Ranch, absolutely recommend Ariel and her group and would most definitely return for a ride. Check in was super easy, the ride was about an hour and a half ( time went too quickly though), the stables were well kept, and the grounds were beautiful. I appreciate all the hard work they put into the training of the horses and definitely their passion for the horses. Thank you, Ariel, for making what could have been a nerve-wracking experience into one that was relaxing, calming and even therapeutic to me.

Absolutely worth it! It was me and my girlfriend's first time going horseback riding and it was perfect. It was fun, relaxing, scenic, exciting, and pretty much what you would want. Highly recommend. Sam was our wrangler/tour guide, and I got "Lucky" for a horse, a big red, and he was awesome. He likes to snack along the way though, so you gotta be ready for him.

We visited Lone Start Ranch for a corporate event and had an incredible time! The property & animals are beautiful, and the owner Tina & her team treated us like family. We were there for Axe throwing, led by Mattie. She was such a great teacher, host and tour-guide! I would highly recommend checking out Lone Star Ranch if you are in the Austin area!

A must do Austin adventure. Horses are well trained, easy to ride and well cared for. We did the 45 minute ride through beautiful scenery and we crossed a creek twice! Next time we’re doing the 90 minute ride. Wrangler Kelli was great at giving important info on the ride. They do a great job! Can’t wait to do it again.

Me and my girlfriend had a great time at the ranch. 10 mins outside Austin, offers many cool activities. Ride the horse Julius! Devon is the director and he is great and Hailey is amazing with the horses, felt safe.

My Sister was turning 30 and had never been on a horse. As she is a 6th generation Texan, we felt it was time! I had not been on a horse in a long time and this was probably my favorite equine experience. She had an incredible Birthday and is inspired to continue her journey with horses!

I just just completed the Sunset Trail at Lone Star Rach with my Mum and it was so much fun.I was quite nervous about horse riding but our guide Ariel matched me to the perfect horse. It was like the horse knew I was nervous so he was very calm and gentle.Ariel is a lovely guide! Very passionate and knowledgeable about the ranch and horses. She was awesome. Ask for her to be your guide if you can :)The ranch itself is very beautiful and would be great fun for work functions. The staff and the owner (forgot your name sorry!) that we we meet at the ranch were so friendly and welcoming. Can't recommend Lone Star Ranch and Texas Trails Rides enough!! If we are lucky enough to come back to Austin we'll be coming back for another trail ride. Thanks for such a memorable experience xx
