Dr Patel was FANTASTIC. I’m a 50 year old woman who has been wearing contacts AND readers for 10+ years. He introduced me today to contacts that allow me to see up close without readers! Why has no one shown me these before? No clue. But Dr Patel was brilliant to introduce me to these. His staff was also kind and professional. Plus the art work in the clinic is Austin-AMAZING! A+++

Dr. Packer and his staff are always kind, friendly, and ready to get the job done right! I’ve been in multiple times recently to find the perfect contact prescription. So happy to have a doctor willing to work with me to ensure the clearest vision possible. And I love my new glasses!

Awful, awful customer service. They double booked my appointment then tried to get me come back hours later. Then after my eye exam even though my insurance should cover 100% of the appointment they threw in an add on without telling me so I had to pay out of pocket.
Edit: Below you can see they somehow don't have my contact information despite the fact I booked directly on their website. They also told me after the fact of a service that would cost me out of pocket. They've got a big new office they need to pay for but completely unethical.

First- Doctors and facilities are great. 5 stars. This review is to note that the eyeglasses department will refuse a PD measurement even if you offer to pay for it unless you are buying extremely overpriced glasses from them. Reiterating- the doctors are fantastic. I understand that it is a business but it doesnt sit well with me and if you can’t afford to overpay for eye glasses this may not be the best place to have your eye exams.

I love my annual eye checkup at Lone Star Eye. They are efficient, have the coolest optometry machines, and are super friendly. Plus they are conveniently close. I highly recommend them.

I’ve been bringing my family here for around 15 years. Dr. Packer and his staff have always been patient, helpful, and professional while still being personable. I met Dr. Patel last week and he is no exception. Easy to talk to. Equally adapt at taking care of business as he is shooting the breeze.
My wife loves the in-house selection of stylish frames. That is not usually my thing, but I admit my favorite pair of glasses are from Lone Star Eye.

Very professional, kind, and clean. All the good stuff as far as tech. The Doctor was especially helpful as most don’t give you near as much information as he did. He was knowledgeable, also kind, informative, and seems pretty darn good at his job. They all do here. Highly recommend.
