I'm giving the Lone Star Court a "4" rating based on top caliber bar staff who are friendly, quick, knowledgeable and very cool. I live in the neighborhood and love stopping by. Live music several nights a week is a big plus, and the artists really good. everything is ATX here except the food, which is awful. tacos are cubed meat covered in slaw, dry and with zero taste. Cups of barbecue sauce and ketchup help, but the cardboard-like taco makes even the souped up chunks hard to find, chew and swallow. Egg rolls are much better, however! the chicken fried steak is possibly the worst I've ever eaten. Nonetheless, bar staff, music and decor pull this place through to a 4-.

My husband and I had a remarkable experience at Lone Star Court. The hotel manager was so accommodating and went above and beyond to provide great customer service to my husband and I. The location is very convenient to accessing the attractions within the Domain. We will most definitely be back to this hotel.

Service was the issue. We booked it for a wedding we're lots of people came from Canada. They wouldn't let us hang out in the courtyard talking around the fire pits after 10 pm! Why have fire pits and all these chairs if you can't use them! The manager threw this huge fit multiple times. Such a beautiful place we couldn't enjoy it.Food & drinks: They had a great mini bar and snack selection! Reasonably priced, best thing about the whole stay

A very cool boutique hotel in a great location for our trip. Lots of wonderful spaces to hang out and socialize. Of course that was our one issue in that the location of our room was quite loud at night with people hanging out by the fire pits, so our plans for early to bed were a little tough. Can't blame folks for having a good time, but I'd make sure you ask for a room away from the fire pits if you need to get to bed early.

Interesting decor/concept. Motel feel but upscale and in a fantastic area. Furniture has an old school feel but much of the room has high quality pieces. DONT TOUCH THE MINI-BAR (but it's the most alluring mini-bar you've ever seen...including the large fridge packed w/libations!) Its tempting but that price sheet is tucked in & sky high! LolOr if you got it...go for it! LolMy room was downstairs by the pool so my room was inundated with mosquitoes so I got bitten a lot. Killed 3 of them in my bed alone. But my colleagues stayed upstairs and said they had no issues. So it may have just been my room placement. But besides that (next time I come I'm def asking for a diff room)- the place is nice for large groups. Lots to do on site (restaurant, bar, fire pit, rocking chairs, lounge areas and outdoor games). Not to mention the incredible location to the domain places/restaurants!Try it for sure!

The staff at the Lone Star Hotel was amazing to me. From the moment you check in, you'll be greeted with a friendly hello and a nice cold beer or water if you’re up for it.Brought my two dogs and was so happy this hotel is pet friendly. This is a great option for families or travelers who want to bring their furry friends along for the ride. I forgot their water bowl but the front desk was kind enough to not only let me borrow one but to also give me free breakfast since elevator was under maintenance.I enjoyed the live music at the bar, they open the garage so I was able to bring my dogs out again and had dinner by the pool while listening to good music. The location is perfect, they have food vendors right behind the hotel or your can always walk anywhere to The Domain since is so close by.Love the ambiance this Hotel has, a nice rustic decoration that will definitely make you feel you’re out there in the country.Everywhere I walked was very clean, they have an artificial turf section where you can play with your kids or outdoor games, you can even start your own fire pit at night.Overall, this is my first 5 out 5 star review I have ever given a hotel. Thank you everyone at The Lone Star Hotel for being so kind, I will definitely comeback for another hiking trip to Austin next month and pay you guys another visit! You’re the best!Rooms: The rooms were my favorite. Nice packed fridge. Lots of room and outdoors chairs right next to your room.Safety: You’ll need a key card to get it. Great option.Walkability: Close to The Domain. 5-10 minute walks.Food & drinks: Their egg breakfast tacos were so good.

Our stay at Lone Star Court was fabulous! It has an old-time camping feel with luxury amenities, and although close to a TON of shops and restaurants, had everything we needed on site. We ate at the Water Trough restaurant for breakfast and lunch, and the room came stocked with a HUGE assortment of beverages and snacks (for a fee). We spent a lot of time at the pool and the property is very dog-friendly. Overall we had a great time and are already looking towards our next trip to Austin. Highly recommend!

I came to Austin for a very fast business trip and sought out Lone Star Court for its proximity to the location where I was having meetings. Lone Star Court provided me so much more than just a great location - the staff was incredibly friendly and super helpful, the rooms were comfortable and adorable, the atmosphere was perfect and inviting, and there were a ton of amenities. I needed a place to work between checking out, meetings, and my flight - they made me feel right at home and I set up a great office in their restaurant. William, the owner, was so kind and so helpful. Lone Star Court will be my first stop anytime I am back in Austin.

Nearly great hotel. The hotel is unpretentious but comfortable. It has a motel vibe, think Route 66. The rooms are well equipped, comfortable beds, funky furniture with a great selection of snacks and drinks. The big problem is that they host parties in the courtyard, and they’re LOUD. Like if you’re going to go to sleep before the music is over bring earplugs, a white noise machine, and consider hitting up the well stocked full size bar fridge.I’m writing this at 11:30 pm, and the noise in the courtyard is loud, the band just finished playing and the partiers are still going hard, and getting their yell on.I like a party as much as the next guy, but if I’m playing for a room to sleep in I’d like to be able to sleep.

Very nice hotel and theme. Nice courtyard and easy parking. Staff was very friendly. Lots of smart and useful amenities. Very clean room and comfy beds. Been a long time since I've stayed as nice as this. Walkable to the Pickle Research Campus.

We just checked out after a two day stay. It was perfect. The location was great as we were able to walk to the shopping and all eating. The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything we needed from needing an iron to check out. The pool was great escape from the Texas heat, and the nighttime areas were enjoyable to listen to the live music and sit in small areas to visit with friends. Hotel was very dog friendly. (Our only suggestion would be to provide shade umbrellas in the pool area because it there was very little shade.) We will definitely return to stay here again.

Cool concept. Great location near the Domain. We stayed here after 3 days at the Valencia Riverwalk in San Antonio. Our SA experience was incredible so we had high expectations. We visited on a weekday for two nights and found the service to be very absent and when we did see them they seemed annoyed we were there. The room was spacious and bathroom was perfect for a family. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. There were no events during our stay - the whole property had a hangover vibe so maybe it’s better to visit during the weekend when there is live music and the food trucks are open. At the price point I expected much more

My stay was awesome! Room was super clean and organized, location is perfect for food and shopping. Pool was just perfect with the shade from the trees. Isn’t loud at all despite its location. Service was good. Definitely staying here again!

I always enjoy hotels by this group. I would consider this sort of a compact resort in the sense that the property isn't very big, but it has a lot of the amenities that you would want. It is family oriented, which can be a good or bad thing, depending on how much disruption you're open to, but there is not a huge amount of sound leakage from the busy courtyard. While I appreciate the aesthetic of the rooms, they're moderately comfortable. I feel a little bad for running the AC all day, but you kind of need to, in order to achieve the correct temperature at night. Service was kind of hit or miss, when we needed housekeeping to come tidy up the room and refill some of the bathroom amenities, they were on top of it, but when we needed the battery for the safe replaced, that never happened during our stay. The location is remote, but it's a little nook of a commercial center so we felt like there were good dining options and retail nearby.

What a great and fun place to stay. You almost forget you are in town because of the the Texas retro decor. Quite large boardroom with very comfortable bed. Retro icebox. Spacious bathroom with barn door. Rocking chairs in the front of each room. Beautiful courtyard with fire and bbq pit. Very friendly and helpful staff.
