The new company that took over recently.Is ten times better than the old companyThat ran life storage .I could never find an employee to talk to .When I would go to my storage unit .The new company is hands down better

Crystal is an absolute gem. In the change from Life Storage who had wonderful staff that I dealt with. I was somewhat nervous with the change to Extra Storage but service was prompt and efficient despite a significant increase in monthly rental fees.

The fees charged by the storage facility are exorbitant and outweigh the benefits of their services. Furthermore, the security measures to protect your property are inadequate, leaving it vulnerable, and some customers’ property has been stolen from their storage units. Attempting to contact the staff for assistance or information is a frustrating experience, as their communication channels are either non-existent or consistently unresponsive.

Had a tiny unit. Rent went up after less than a year.Plus they went through at least 2 other managers at this location in about 2 yrs. It is next to impossible to find a handtruck/cart - requiring a search of all halls & levels every time. Having a second floor unit, if elevators or carts unavailable, we were stuck.When ice storm hit in Jan. 2023, a pipe burst & caused all systems to fail. Unable to access unit for about 3 weeks. Store manager was out for various reasons repeatedly. Spoke with helpful manager at nearest store many times. She made it possible for us to get in & get our stuff out before all doors & security back online. She also told us her manager ok's a month's refund for the trouble.It's June & still no refund. Now she's taken over this store, but is saying we can only get about 2 weeks pro rated refund (doesn't remember telling me about the full month refund). Said she submitted it to her manager around May 19. Left her manager voicemail about this May 24. Never get called back. Still no refund.I guess there's so much demand in the area for storage facilities that they just charge as much as possible, & amenities or service is an afterthought.Follow up: Called the number provided 6/16. Spoke with CS Rep who may have understood my complaint (language issues), said he had to forward to 'Operations' team, that someone would call me within 24 hrs. As expected, no call as of 6/19. Not surprised, as they never called when I first complained about lack of access to facility in Feb. Corporate is more useless than on-site management, as is Regional management.

Stay far away from the company and specifically this facility. I'd been customer for several years and at one point had 2 large units (living in another state, I wasn't able to bring everything). The non temperature controlled units have had rodent issues. I found living mice and evidence of rats (larger fecal matter) In between boxes. So anything that can absorb urine was pretty much destroyed. My rate started off fair but consistently increased to the point that it was roughly $60 more per month than their current rate for the same unit. This apparently is their standard business model. It makes sense, how much extra per month will you tolerate before it's worth moving to another facility? It's especially effective if you're not living in the area. While visiting the area last month I found the the facility no longer has regular on site employees (I thought I was paying for a managed facility) and the gate is left open at all times (I thought I was paying for a secure facility). Several of the units were broken into (see photos). Might as well just leave your belongings on a random street corner. I had no choice but to incur the cost of renting a trailer and moving my stuff - much of which was tossed due to rodent damage. I called the national number to complain and to let them know I vacated. They informed me the local manager would call in a maximum of 24 hours - never happened. They don't answer the phone and they don't call back. As of this writing, I'm still being overcharged monthly for a unit I've vacated... Not a company or facility you should consider using.
