I cannot express how much this school helped my son! We had him there for two years and the only sad part is that they don’t continue to elementary.. the director, Teresa, is just a beautiful person who really and truly cares about your kid (I mean for real!) my son had a lot of issues (partially due to his vision impairment and adhd) this school actually helped him learn how to socialize with other kids and just be a happy kid. My son is a very sweet kid and it was debilitating to see him suffer and not be able to help him. Thank you so much Teresa, Rebecca, and all the staff for everything. He misses you all dearly and so do I.

Last year as we prepped to send our youngest to preschool, we paused about whether or not it would be the right fit. After a year at home we saw more and more that he had more needs than a normal preschool could meet. We interviewed with Teresa at Let It Shine and right off the bat we knew it was a perfect fit!I could spend hours going on and on about how amazing this program is for children with sensory issues, but all you have to do is see for yourself. All of the staff are amazing, kind and dedicated to our kiddos. With each day and week that passes we are seeing our son thrive in ways we worried he might not. He LOVES school. Adores his friends. And loves his teachers. There is never a fight about going to school in the morning. It is truly this hidden gem in South Austin and we will forever be grateful we lucked into a spot in their program. ??

Let it Shine Enrichment Academy is a wonderful place to start out for children of all abilities. The student ratio is low, and they have skilled staff. Especially if your child, like ours, needed extra help with speech and occupational, and ABA needs. The outside therapists, after a background check etc. are able to be onsite for sessions. Which is great. I appreciate the staff and their hard work, especially during COVID.

Let It Shine sees every child as incredibly valuable and uniquely designed and gifted. The staff and teachers work to find what could be causing difficult behaviors and provide supports to help the child be successful. It is truly an individualized program where the teachers support each child’s needs. The staff cared for our son and family in one of the most difficult seasons we have had. During a year that my son was beginning to internalize being “bad” at a previous preschool program, Let It Shine helped collaborate and guide us to resources and patiently helped us work through his needs. He ended the year with a confidence in his ability to make helpful choices for himself and others. It truly was remarkable to see the progress he made! We feel that we understand his needs now in a way that will help us be better advocates for him moving forward, and we are hopeful about what he will be able to accomplish. We know that this year where he was loved and supported at school in the ways he is at home, always given a fresh start each day, was a gift from God.

My son attended Let it Shine for two years, and I can't rave about him enough. He's been diagnosed with severe ADHD, sensory processing disorder and he also has a speech delay. After things didn't work out in his former preschool, I waited months to take him to a place that really understood him. Let it Shine hit all the marks. I love the place, and the vision the director has for the place. My kid's challenges are understood, dealt with in a positive manner. I can't tell you how many times they went OUT of their way to help me and my son. Ms. Theresa & Ms. Rebecca are amazing. I highly recommend!

No words can accurately articulate the amazing blessing Let it Shine Enrichment Academy was for my son and my family. My son is now 5 years years old and attended LIS for over a year (age 3 1/2 to 4/12) after being diagnosed with a developmental delay at 16 months old and was recently officially diagnosed with mild autism (which I knew from the beginning). We had tried a normal preschool/daycare center before (at age 2 until about 3/12) but eventually it just didn’t work out for us because he was not able to be potty trained on the timeline of his peers nor was he able to stay still and attentive in a typical setting and needed too much 1on1 attention, despite being extremely intelligent and hyperlexic. I found out about LIS from a good mama friend whose children went to the regular preschool at Bethany Lutheran. I was anxious and not knowing where my child would fit in at the time. Teresa, the director and also an occupational therapist, made us feel comfortable right away and she impressed me with her knowledge about special kiddos like my son. I love that the school has specially trained staff in speech and OT and who are all extremely understanding and have experience dealing with special needs children and also are so loving and kind. The student to teacher ratio is lower than the standard and each kid gets so much special attention and help in so many different areas. My son absolutely loved attending Let it Shine and has made amazing progress during his time attending this school! This in attention to his regular speech and OT therapy sessions made such a difference and now he is prepared for regular school. He was the happiest I ever saw him. His teachers/teachers assistants are wonderful people who we will never forget and never begin to thank enough. Ashley, Rebecca, Robin, Leo, Kelly, Dolly, A'LESA, ALYSSA, and of course Teresa. You are all angels on earth. We moved up north to Cedar Park so we eventually had to change schools after I commuted over an hour each day for a month (that’s how awesome this school is!) They helped my son finally get potty trained (pee) and now he is attending a school up north for all abilities but I will never forget LIS! THANK YOU for existing! You were an answer to my prayers and I am so beyond grateful for the service you provided.

Let it Shine Academy is AMAZING! My 5 yo has flourished since moving him to LIS. After being asked to leave from several daycares because he is a runner with little vocabulary, LIS has embraced his individuality. They worked with us on strategies and has willingly put in adaptive measures to help him stay safe. All the teachers and assistants there are great and love my son (craziness and all). They all have a special education background and/or a pediatric therapy background. I recommend LIS to all my friends with children -- all abilities.

We love Let it Shine! The curriculum is research based. The feedback is consistent and useful. We are seeing positive results after just 1 semester. Our daughter is flourishing, she genuinely enjoys going to school everyday!
