Amazing every time and this is the only place with “soft gel” meaning they soak the gel off instead of using a drill. Much better for nail health.

I follow my wife for all grooming services and she since she now goes to Lacquer Downtown, that is where I go for my biweekly mani-pedi.The ambiance, short or no wait times, and cleanliness are outstanding but the real value creators are my “ Dream Team” , Janel and Tanisha. They are technically excellent, charming and quick, a trinity that is hard to beat and keeps us going back. I think these two lovely ladies are a secret weapon that makes the salon a standout and would recommend them to anyone. I am a part time Texan and have experienced nail technicians around the World, Janel and Talisha are my all time favorites.

First time visiting and loved my experience. The location downtown Austin is in such a great area with lots going on around . the salon is Bright, clean, and welcoming. My pedicure with Talisha was fabulous. I will definitely be back.

Talisha and Faith are the best. They always do such a good job and my nails last without chipping! There is the perfect amount of conversation when I want it, and they are always so welcoming and nice!

I stopped by while my husband was in for a conference. Upon entering, everyone was very nice and informative; they were able to squeeze me in without an appointment! Janel did a wonderful job on my nails, and you old definitely tell she loves what she does. I definitely will be coming back anytime I’m in Austin.

Disappointed by my experience here. I paid 85 dollars for a simple gel pedicure which was incredibly overpriced. The nail artists were rude sand gossipy, and the chairs were uncomfortable. I would not go back or recommend anyone to go.

I was in town for work and needed to get my nails redone. They got me in quickly, had the polish I regularly use, we’re very nice, and did a great job! If I am ever in downtown Austin again and am in need of a mani/pedi, I will definitely be back.Services: Manicure

Attempted to go here. The receptionist was EXTREMELY rude. Telling everyone I know NOT to go here. Should focus more on customer experience and fire the front desk women.

I was in town from NYC and really needed a manicure. I was so lucky to find Lacquer! First of all it’s gorgeous inside, and I only wish we had a salon like this in NYC. My manicure turned out so great and detailed. And everyone was super nice there. Lacquer, please consider New York for your next location!!Service: Nail art

I was in ATX for business travel and needed a manicure. I had walked by Lacquer while downtown and decided to give them a try. I found the online booking to be fast and easy to use. I made an evening appointment and arrived a few minutes early, per the booking email instructions. I had to wait because the previous appointment was running over — though through no fault of the nail technician or Lacquer staff. When I arrived, I was asked to wash my hands and pick a color. The color selection was extensive! The color I initially chose was “goopy”, so the nail technician suggested we pick a different one and helped me choose another color. She even did a swatch on each nail when I couldn’t decide between two colors, which I thought was going above and beyond. Faith (the nail technician) was extremely personable and friendly! I enjoyed the manicure and the conversation! All in all, I would recommend Laquer if you’re in downtown ATX and advise that you follow the instructions in their booking email AND read about the salon before booking an appointment. This type of nail experience might not be for everyone, but I enjoyed it and will be back when I’m in town again!Service: Manicure

I scheduled a mani/pedi while visiting for a work trip. This was my second time visiting. Salon was great. Service was amazing. Tech took the time to make my very short finger nails look great.

I’ve been going to Lacquer for a couple of years now, and things seem to be on a downward trend, which is so sad to report. I was looking for a place that didn’t use harmful chemicals or equipment (drills for nails etc). My manicures and pedicures have slowly declined in quality and durability over the years. Two previous services ago, I paid for the upgraded pedicure, and I had to insist I paid for that in order to have the tech do the extra add ons. Then the experience rushed as the tech scrambled to do the add ons in 10 minutes. My last service was this past Sunday and the manicure already chipped (gel) and I had an awkward experience with a tech that probably should have stayed home to rest due to still showing signs of illness, but was at work anyways. I had to ask to change up the techs once I realized she was ill. While the techs are good people, the services aren’t what they were a couple of years ago. Sadly, after being a client for over three years, I’ll have to switch and find a new place to go. It’s too expensive to go here given the quality. I hope things turn around, as I would likely come back.
