Only giving this a 2 star bc they just fixed their sauna.I’m honestly so shocked at how dirty this gym is. EVERY Austin location is like this too. I just moved over from Golds hoping for a higher end experience. Especially since I’m paying more money per month. Instant regret. The Golds off Congress and slaughter is so much cleaner, staff is more engaged, and over all ran better.This LA, along with the rest, needs to invest in more sanitary stations and keeping the gym clean as a whole. The level of dust everywhere is so gross. The last thing I want to see while I’m breathing heavily in the middle of a set is the pile of dust on the machine I’m using.The bathrooms are subpar at best. Definitely will never be in there without shoes on.I’m not sure if management needs to invest more in their team so the team buys into where they work or what. But something needs to change across the board with the Austin La fitnesses. Even the signature club up north was a let down.Not a fan of paying near $50 a month for these conditions.Kinda wishing I stayed at Golds Gym.

I was a new member bringing a guest with me to try a gym class. She had signed up for a guest pass and I thought we were good to go to a class as informed by a member of the front desk staff earlier (I had made calls on several occasions to verify their guest/class policy and was still confused due to varying information). When we walked in, a man named Tim, who I later found out is the GM of the facility, greeted us and immediately was very abrasive when I told him we were here to attend a class and said we could have come 5 minutes earlier and overall gave a very harsh attitude for no real reason. Although it ended up being a misunderstanding between us and the front desk staff because they miscommunicated information, he could have approached the situation in a less disrespectful way, especially as the GM of the facility. It gave me a terrible impression of the gym staff, you don't talk to people like that. Overall, disappointed.

Amenities are wonderful, when they’re available. Sauna has been broken for over 2 weeks now. This happens every few months. Do better, LA Fitness.Locker rooms/showers could use a good deep cleaning. Also, please fix your machines before/after hours. Hammering during my workout is not helpful.

Tom was AMAZING!!! He helped me get a guest pass for the gym and was really awesome in explaining the offerings of the facility! Loved the warm, positive welcome :)

I was a member here for about three months. The interior of the building was shabby and dilapidated, equipment was old and always under repair. Then there was the rude and oblivious front desk staff. They very rarely were able to answer even the simplest of questions and couldn’t even be bothered to give me a quick tour of the gym. Worst gym experience ever.

I enjoyed the yoga, aqua and sit and fit classes in San Diego during my visit to California.instructors were great and very welcoming. Unfortunately on one of the days, the water got turned off at Eastlake location and we didn't get alerted. So there was a lot of disappointed women in the bathroom. We could not take a shower, wash hands or go to bathroom. That should have been handled differently. Such as workers walking around or by a loud speaker announcement telling people what was happening so that they could plan their workout accordingly. I did see one notice by lockers after getting out of the pool. Yet they continued to allow people into facility. Which didn't seem right.

I would look at a different business. Alot of hassle Unauthorized charges no notifications that they’re taking money out and then they tell you to call one location. and the other one tells you to call that other location
