Their new location on Lamar is well equipped. The staff is always nice too.

Sarah is absolutely amazing and can’t recommend her enough! It all started with coming in for a blow out and she’s been doing my hair ever since. On top of that the staff are incredibly nice, greeted genuinely every time I walk in for an appointment.

My wife and I have been to the Domain and downtown locations. Don’t let the name or the glitz and glam fool you. They hire inexperienced stylist that are not qualified to work at as a hairdresser. Don’t do it.

Abel is just the best. He listens to your concerns & his experience shows in the quality of his cuts. Everyone working there have such a welcoming warmth. Location is perfect. Parking is a breeze.

My kids got sick and they still charged me - even though I rescheduled. I have been going for years - even took my little kids for over priced haircuts. Never going again. Show some grace.

I always have the best experience here. They have the greatest staff- have been here for regular haircuts, special occasion and costume looks and they’ve nailed it every time. Each of the 4 or 5 staff I’ve used over the last couple of years has done a great job. Definitely in good hands at this salon!

Javier was considerate and proficient. I moved here from Philadelphia with a formula for Goldwell and Redken color. On his own, he went to the supply and picked it up so it would be ready for me and it matched perfectly. His blowouts are great and it's my go-to Austin hair color place. Thank you, Javier! Also, there is free parking, and the receptionists are polite and fast, as I've never had to wait. By the way I went to the Sixth Street location.

Strong recommend against using this salon. I had two negative experiences with Dehlia. It's unclear to me whether she doesn't listen to client requests or has low competency. Either way, this salon is much too expensive for the quality they deliver. I also had hit or miss experience with customer service from reception - they were sometimes friendly and sometimes condescending. Will not be returning.

Alejandra Villarreal is a top - notch hair stylist I recently had the pleasure of visiting at Jose Luis Salon on 6th St. she exceeded all of my expectations! From the moment I walked into her salon, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming smile, which immediately put me at ease. What impressed me most about this hairstylist was her extensive knowledge and professionalism when it came to coloring and adding dimension to my hair. She listened intently as I explained what I was looking for and made some excellent suggestions that I hadn't even considered. Her attention to detail was truly impressive and it was clear that she was incredibly passionate about her craft. ( Something I've been struggling in Austin) coming to her with a dry damaged thin hair thinking she couldn't do much. Since coming to her, my hair has become bouncier and healthier than ever before. I am constantly receiving compliments on my hair, which is a true testament to her skill and expertise. Communication has never been an issue as she is bilingual, which made the whole process seamless and enjoyable. I am so grateful to have found such an amazing hairstylist who truly cares about her clients and their hair. I always bring her photos of what I am looking for and she works her magic to get me there. She is truly a master of her craft and I have already recommended her to all of my friends and family.

I have typical salt and pepper hair that has more salt on top plus a large white swatch in front of my hair. Natalie added low lights so that it perfectly blends in. Now I'm truly "pepper and salt". She applied a Kerataste treatment so my hair is super shiny. I'm trying to grow my length and she managed to both trim a little from the bottom while adding layers. I'm very happy with the results.
