Excellent neighborhood mom & pop store…if I’m going to pay too much for an item, at least I’m going to spend it with local nice folks…their 20lb bag of ice is a bargain compared to HEB.

Love this store, but it's never open in the morning when we need it.

First time here and so far not a positive experience. Online it says you open at 6am, your door says you open at 7, but it's currently 7:46 and the doors have yet to open let alone have anyone inside. Maybe fix your hours of operation

My dear companion and I fancy this little shop. The location is convenient for us, the staff is always nice, and they've got a fine supply of stuff and things. Two things could make this place more convenient: slightly lower prices and a gas pump out front. But I ain't barkin' up no tree. Let me tell you a story instead:

Quick, fast and easy stop. Great local Austin products hidden within the usual convenient store items. Friendly staff.

Hyridge is my neighborhood store. It can be pretty pricey, depending on what you're getting & how desperate you are for what you need. Sometimes, if you need milk ASAP for a recipe that you're in the middle of making, you'll pay the extra $2 for a gallon of milk. Just sayin.

Beware... some products are expired! "And I'm talking about over 5 yrs expired!" Otherwise... swift service! One star rating is because two of my co workers mentioned they were sold expired items too!

Friendly people, nice, clean place. Betty and Sam Qussad now own Hyridge Mart. Everything else is pretty much the same as it was, except that I never saw pizza prepared for delivery and I still don't see it! In short, no pizza -- unless it's hiding in a freezer somewhere. The store struggled for a couple of years, but is now back in high gear. Wide choice of wine, beer, soda, and "Mexican-style" colas (made with cane syrup, yum), plus snacks and the other things you forgot to get the last time you shopped for groceries. Pet food? Yep. Tortilla chips and salsa? Of course. On weekday mornings there's a variety of quite tasty soft, warm homemade tacos; get there before noon if you want one! Choice of red or green sauce. Hmm, now I can't remember which one will blast your head off. Cuidado! They also have prepared, wrapped sandwiches in the cooler near the door...next to the freezer full of ice cream... If there's anything you want that's out of stock or that Hyridge doesn't currently offer, be sure to ask Betty if she will get it for you when the appropriate distributor comes by (usually once a week). She will go out of her way, I promise. I once discovered that they carried Chimay Bleu (my *favorite* beer of all time; expensive, but worth sipping, not chugging). Heaven! I rarely drink beer anymore, but their wine selection is much better-than-good for a small store.

The staff here is always helpful and cheerful. I always stop by here to get some of the delicious breakfast tacos in the mornings. Sometimes they open a little after 8 but only by a few minutes.
