Howdy Honda missed the mark here by a mile! I was searching online for a car for my daughter in a specific price range and I found a 2014 Hyundai Elantra Sport with roughly 86k miles that seemed to "check all the boxes" . I called the dealership and spoke to Paul (hereafter salesman) who was polite and professional. He confirmed the car was still available. I then asked what time they opened on Saturdays, to which he replied 9:00am. I then said, in no uncertain terms, that I would be there promptly . The following morning, while en route, I got a call from a sales manager, who identified himself as Robert (hereafter manager) who wanted to confirm that I was still coming. I arrived at the used car sales area at 8:55am. I immediately saw a salesman who was showing a vehicle in the parking lot close the building. I looked around the building and other than a few people who were in the waiting lounge, no one else appeared to be there. The salesman finally showed up at 9:15 am. The explanation he proffered was that was that he was in a weekly sales meeting, a meeting which neither he nor the manager mentioned. The salesman then retrieved the vehicle. He began by stating that we would "have to use our imagination" as it had not been detailed. Other than having trash strewn about, the interior condition was otherwise acceptable. Although the salesman asserted that the car had been through the service department, by looking at the engine bay it was glaringly obvious that it had not been within a mile of any service department. The motor oil was filthy (dark brown) but full. I looked at the air filter which contained trees leaves and pine needles; the salesman then summoned the manager. I mentioned to the manager how I was left waiting for 20 minutes, despite having notified them I was coming and he offered no explanation. Regarding the vehicle's condition, the manager explained that it was a "triple "s" car, meaning they only check to ensure that it starts, stops and steers. When we test drove the car, the engine sounded anything but healthy. It made knocking sounds similar to an engine that was low on oil. On the test drive the engine noise grew louder and louder. When we were yards from turning into the dealership, the engine died. In closing, if I could leave less than a one star review, I would.

I was a Honda service fan until I moved to Austin. Howdy Honda is hands down the worst service I've gotten and they are now on par with Jiffy lube. Staff are overtly curt upfront to discourage any questions. They leave your bolts undone, aggressively pursue at all costs, persuading you to get done what is not due. All of the service staff treat you as if you are there for them. I had a bolt on my air filter cover, stripped by jiffy lube. I told my tech upfront. He scoffed, acted as if that were too much. Make an appointment, be on and get treated like cattle and it's at least 2 hours even with an appointment. When inquiring as to why, told that appointment reservation are only to get a check in. My appointment as set for "oil change and tire rotation" You can tell morale is terrible and they do not care about anything but sell, sell sell. It's as if they outsource their services and do not care what the customer gets. I quite literally cannot get service at Howdy. Why? I value my time, budget my time accordingly and they do not. I have now purchased all I need to do my own oil changes and will be investing in more items as I go. I highly recommend staying clear of Howdy Honda unless you have unlimited time and don't care about service and integrity- they to me, do not. If you go, do your homework first. They will tell you to replace things way too early so they can profit more, meanwhile not caring how long you wait. Oh wait, there's more. I got talked into 4 new tires with a very aggressive push. I was short on money and stated that. The sales person told me he'd take an extra $100 off the purchase. When I checked out, no discount and no communication. In short, this exemplifies their approach: aggressively push you to buy a service or parts with a promise of a discount and they don't honor or even let you know. No integrity behind their actions and time is the most important commodity on earth. They have grown bold and they are very much inundated with more service volume than they can handle.

This place honestly sucks. When I bought my car here in 2021, they were so nice right up until the sale was finalized. Ever since then, they have been rude and not helpful at all. I've had two recalls on my car since buying it and when I call they not only have nothing to help me but they are RUDE!!! Like make me feel like i'm an idiot rude for asking questions. Plus, I found out that my grey cloth seats had deep stains in them that Howdy Honda just "buffed out" enough to make them not super noticeable. The first time I cleaned my seats myself (after never spilling anything on them) HUGE stains came to light. I will never buy a car here again ever.

(14JAN2024), Howdy Honda is THE place to buy and service your vehicle. Nick Popov is an informed and excellent salesperson. The service writers (Saul Rodriguez!!) are especially informed "customer champions." Honda is an excellent product and this is an excellent location for sales and service...

DO NOT BUY HERE! My experience at howdy Honda was far from pleasant. Do not get a Honda!! After test driving a car I was firm on not wanting it. My second party went in to finalize the purchase and ended up purchasing the car that I had originally stated to the sales man I didn't like. Once the car was purchased we started experiencing problems (mind you this car had not been Honda certified due to a bumper accident prior to our ownership). They then charged us a $200 diagnostic fee to check and see if our warranty would cover whatever the diagnosis came up with. to our surprise "the best of the best warranty" did not cover what needed to be fixed because they said it was "our fault". I'm am very dissatisfied with Honda and the quality car they provide. It is a trash product with trash warranty. I would not recommend doing business here

I am giving this after one visit. It was for an express oil change with a Lithia car I purchased from another dealer. They told me it could be several hours showed me around the space and were very quick to work on my car. The space was nice and had an outlet to work on my computer while I waited. It took less than 2 hours, but I appreciate the warning that there were a lot of cars ahead of me. I am pleased and I will come back again if I can not get rid of my car before I need another oils change.

This company is very unprofessional first they try to sell me a car. Let me drive off with it and a week later they're telling me I'm not approved that if I don't send in my newest DL that they have to cancel the deal and I would have to return the car Then, after that they're telling me I need to come back into the office two more times And during this whole transaction my salesman refuse to talk to me the only one that did talk to me with the finance manager and he didn't even know what he was doing nor did he explain anyways about my warranties or anything I already regret getting this car and I just wish I did take it back to them.

PLEASE READ! DONT GO HERE FOR A USED CAR! I went in to the preowned side of Howdy Honda. I will never go to then ever again. I asked them to fix one thing before I bought one of their cars, it would vibrate a little whenever I would brake. They said not a problem, they wrote it down and said they would look into it and get it fixed. I bought the car, they held it to get looked at and when I picked it up the next day, they said everything looked good, that it just needed an alignment issue. Not maybe 10 miles from home I feel it vibrating again. I take it the next day and they said they can't fix it. That I have to go to the service section and pay to have it fixed. The guy said "yeah we looked at it, we didn't fix it, it's not a big deal, it just shakes a little, it's like $10 to go get it looked at and they can tell you how much it will be to fix" I DONT CARE ABOUT THE MONEY. It's the principle that you said you'd fix that one thing. Howdy Honda is not a place that sticks to their word and does what they say they are gonna do. Just a bunch of slimy sales people that don't care in what condition their cars go out as long as they sell. I could say so much more on the entire experience as well, from not being the price that it was on car fax where it was listed, to not knowing where our car is for the safety check. I will never get a car or anything from them again

I highly recommend this location, especially our sales associate Peter F.! If you have the opportunity, set up an appointment with him. My car was totaled in the recent hailstorm, and I went to several different dealerships in search of a new vehicle before stopping at Howdy Honda. I'll admit, I was quite discouraged with other dealerships in the Austin area because of the inflexibility on overpriced older vehicles plus the add-ons you were "required" to purchase. Not only were they friendly and respectful in regards to my budget, but they worked with me to get an even better vehicle that I had in mind. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and experience here!
