This could have been a GREAT company! Unfortunately, it is not. The guy that took us from Austin to San Antonio turned out to be a babbling, pothead who (as I learned from his non-stop monologue) lives in a semi-homeless condition in a run-down, shady motel. The stink in the car was unbearable to say the least. Not using this company again, unfortunately.

I was trying to determine the cost of a potential ride for my elderly parents to visit and in doing so, I appear to have booked a ride. The app was also locking up on me so at some point, I inadvertently booked a ride. When I contacted customer support (by the way, Hitch does not respond to email inquiries), I was told the policy is to issue a credit. I mistook the reference to "refund" on the site as a traditional refund, rather than a credit. Unfortunately, Hitch is not something I intend to use in the future.

Been telling support to switch my car back to another vehicle. Lost a ride because passenger didn't "feel safe" due to the license plate issue. Now support is telling me the vehicle may have been accidentally deleted. How do you accidentally delete a vehicle that was never requested to be deleted along with two requests to already being assured it was completed and now there is no record. I'm just deleting the app. How hard is it for Hitch to close an account, must be worried to the bosses.

Incredibly poor customer service. You never get a response on time. I've taken rides over 10 times and the rides have been delayed 6/10 times. I've waited over an hour for a ride once, and right now, today, I'm waiting for more than 1.5 hour with no response from customer service or driver. The app has gotten notoriously glitchy and it almost feels as if the customer service ignore you on purpose. Terrible user experience and woeful service.Update : Jen from customer support responded after 3 hours and told me their systems were down and I wasn't mapped to a driver in the first place, couldn't stop being snide and provided no resolution. As a result, I've had to wait at a coffee shop for over 3 hours for a ride, with no information and I've had to book a hotel on the long weekend for an exorbitant price and have received no help. Wasted time and 400 dollars because of this stupid, incompetent business.

Hitch COULD have been a good app.But in reality the experience turns to be horrible: drivers are late, and mostly the customer service is absolutely atrocious. There is no phone number to call them, they are irresponsive to chat and emails, and do not track cases.Plus, the only refund they accept to do is in Hitch credit, which is the most frustrating thing ever.Avoid.

Someone stole our cards and used them to get a ride with this service. I contacted them for details in order to place a police report and never heard back. Untrustworthy.

Company ran by amateurs. Their investors should put their money towards a company that truly cares for the community and the hardworking people who make this company run. And not ask drivers/riders to delete Facebook comments just to hide their crafty ways. Horrible experience. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE

It seems it's Not for me, it doesn't explain exactly what they do.For example, like Uber it tells u info like arrival time, cars in area, name, type of ride. But Hitch doesn't.So, I'm not sure what they do exactly. So out of curiosity when I try to like book Hitch, it tells me there are several cars in my area, then an error msg displays saying there aren't any available for my area. The app is a waste of time I would say.

I’m never taking a bus to SATX again — this was as easy as an Uber/Lyft ride, all at a price that’s as cheap as it gets for long-distance travel. The shipping feature is even better: $28 to get a package delivered to my sister’s door in less than 2 hours! Hitch is a game changer.

I always have the best drivers on Hitch. I feel more comfortable in a car than a crowded bus, so I take Hitch when I need a ride back home to Dallas
