Needed test strips after the pharmacy closed but they keep them in area that isn't accessible after the pharmacy is closed. Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever...

I love HEB but this location does not have a very good selection.

My neighborhood H-E-B is, well, let's say it's a work in progress. Don't get me wrong -- I love H-E-B stores in general as they're a true community asset -- fair prices, (mainly) helpful and polite staff, and a good selection of local and national (and a few international) goods. However, this particular store has been under renovation for what seems like forever (6+ months and counting). Goods have been moved around so much that even regular shoppers get confused as to where to find something, perhaps half of the refrigeration units aren't operational, and the deli and meat departments are currently under construction. What's more, the store is severely understaffed and frequently only one or two cashier stations (out of 15 or 16) are open at even busy times, leading to long lines. The self-service registers are also very bug-prone and often infuriating to use. Regular customers in the neighborhood are used to coming here and not knowing what they're going to find on any given day.

The staff culture here is the worst out of any HEB I've ever been to, by far. I love H-E-B and think it's one of the best run companies probably in the country. I don't know if this location is like some kind of Dumping ground for the Other stores or what. They're always out of stuff. Always, I get it happens sometimes but like it's another level here. I'm assuming management is in charge of that? Regardless I avoid this location at all costs and highly encourage other people do the same. Wish they would get on par with the others, it's kinda sad.

I've been going to this HEB for the last 3 years but lately I avoid it unless I absolutely have to and I'd rather drive out to Trader Joes. Every time I check out, the cashiers barely acknowledge your existence and they expect you to bag your own groceries. They will start ringing up the next person in line while you're frantically trying to bag your items. Might as well make every lane self-checkout at this point. I overhear them complaining about how annoying customers are to each other literally in front of me.The couple of times that I've used the curbside pickup they forgot to give me half my order. As in, I paid for everything, it's on my receipt, I got home, and then saw that they didn't even give it to me.In the last few months I get approached by pan handlers WHILE I'm unloading at my car in the parking lot. Which, is not necessarily in this HEB's control but it's all the more reason why I avoid going.I'm from Texas and grew up in Austin so it's disappointing that I avoid going to HEB now. I've also worked in retail, customer service and I've been a cashier at a grocery store and I would have been fired if I acted the way some of this store's cashiers act...

HEB is quality and freshness in any location. I love shopping there. I like them so much that I wanted to work there, I applied but they never called me. I still like them and I'm still a customer.

I’m writing this while still waiting in line. They need all hands on deck. Lines are too long and if the machine breaks like it did for me. Tough luck. Except them to fix it as slowly as humanly possible. Two stars because at least it’s an American company, better than boycotted Walmart , and the other locations don’t seem to have this problem.
