“Ordered my gun from guns.com from a running with guns recommendation website. Set this as my pick up location and they were very nice and helpful. It arrived quickly and I was notified by text. The same gun was similarly priced here. Very respectful to women. Appreciate the good service!”
“The silencer shop does an outstanding job in getting your paperwork through the system as fast as possible. Just make sure you fill out the paperwork and you're in good hands.
They get a lot of phone calls and at times the call volume may be higher than others. But if you're able to get through, they're very patient and very professional and will answer all your questions.”
“Staff is amazing, inventory is phenomenal. I’m new to the Austin area and these folks were extremely welcoming and happy to share their time with me, educating me on gear and fishing spots. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”
“I came to Wendy & Chris for a custom suit for my upcoming wedding. They took such great care of me! The process of designing the suit was fun & they even helped me choose amongst the huge list of options available to match my needs and inspiration (which was quite modern relative to some other work they’ve done). The fitting process was seamless and allowed the for the kind of adjustments that have me walking out with a suit that truly fits & looks just right. I feel the pricing was also very fair for the quality of service & material provided. Next time I need a custom suit, I’ll be happily headed back here.”
“Went to have my PX4 sights pressed out and replaced with LPA fiber sights. Gentleman at the counter was very knowledgeable, knew that the rear factory irons on the PX4 are a real pain to remove. They were able to get the job done the same day, and gave me a call when it was ready. If you come at the right time, you may be lucky enough to pat their dog.”
“Fletch is not only my local gun shop. the owner has become a friend. Great guy, amazing service and is always available to help. I have bought several weapons from him and will always refer people his way..”
“This place is fantastic. They’ve got great stuff and they work with you. I have tons of respect for these guys and they treat their customers with tons of respect right back.”
“Our instructor Jamey was fantastic and incredibly helpful and efficient - my friends and I had an excellent experience and would recommend both the Range and Jamey as an instructor”
“Honestly pretty great experience both purchases. Ran out to get food while background check was being ran and they called me to let me know to come get it. Sales reps are very nice. Make sure you go in on a weekday. Only bad thing is it’s expensive.”

321 W Ben White Blvd #203, Austin“I got my LTC through Central Texas Gun Works. The course has two components: 1) Classroom portion 2) Shooting portion. The classroom portion is largely learning about state statute and laws. What many may find to be boring (reading state statute), Michael and the other instructors present the info clearly and in an entertaining and engaging way. Michael is an excellent communicator and breaks up the classroom portion with video clips, "What would you do in this situation?" questions, and encourages you to ask questions. The shooting portion is done off site and they provide transportation to and from the store. The shooting portion prioritizes safety. Everyone in my class passed both the written and shooting tests, including people who have limited/no shooting experience. If you are looking to get your LTC, CTGW is the place.”
“This was the only firearms store in town that I could find that had the weapon I was looking for. Both gentleman behind the counter were super helpful. I was in and out of the store within 20 minutes with my new purchase. Definitely recommending this store to anyone looking for a firearm.”
