I’ve been donating stuff to this location for quite few years..
After my family dropping a few bags and some other stuff.
I got a call from Stephanie, the manager of that store saying that there is suitcase was donating and they find the money in there.
I can’t describe how I was unexpected and happy I was to hear that news . There is definitely I can say there is good and honest people working there , who is so honest and willing to help.
I want to say personally thank you so much for doing right things to Stepahanie and Loren.
You are guys awesome! I always will be used that location for all my future donations.
I am so greatfull for what you done.

The Brand Denim & Flowers men's shirts are priced at $8.49 used & donated... Why would I pay that; if TJ Maxx has them at $11.89 new. Need to refigure your pricing on some items. On 2 separate occasions the manager on the floor is not very friendly. Will be going to another location.

This store generally has a pretty great selection and I always find something I like. However, the dressing room situation is untenable. There are 4 rooms of which 2 are only ever open. There is a 4 item maximum for each room, but you can pile up as many clothes out side of the room to swap out as you go. This causes the line to back up, and the attendant never actually checks to see if you’re swapping out the right number of items, so the limit isn’t even serving its purpose. I know that this review won’t make any difference to how the store is run, no one there cares. This is here to let other folks know to either wear something you can pull clothes on top of in the aisles, or be ok with buying and returning items with out trying on, if you don’t want to wait in line for a half hour for a fitting room.

Usually find a good selection at this store. It’s always fun to browse around. What keeps me coming back is the customer service with the team here. Heather in particular is super sweet and funny. She goes above and beyond with my inquiries and is always willing to help out. I also enjoy interacting with Monica who I’ve found to be helpful as well. These ladies know what customer care is and I love to be on the receiving end of it!

Shame on Heather and her manager. They do not deserve to be management in our community. They do not uphold our values.

April 2024 by Down with Goodwill
As a concerned shopper and community member, I feel compelled to share my experience with the Goodwill located in Southpark Meadows. Unfortunately, my interaction with this establishment has left me deeply disappointed in Heather her boss, and disheartened with Goodwill's lack of goodwill. IRONIC.
It has become evident to me that instead of utilizing the generosity of those who wish to donate items for the betterment of the community, this Goodwill location seems to exploit it. I was appalled to witness exorbitant markups on items that were donated for free. For instance, I saw jeans priced at a staggering $25 and used electronic items marked at $20. I bet you all can go into this store right now and pull anything off the rack that is disproportionally priced. This blatant price gouging is not only unjust but also disrespectful to those who selflessly contribute their belongings in hopes of aiding others.
Moreover, it is disconcerting to observe the disregard this Goodwill shows towards both its employees and customers who may be facing financial difficulties. Despite the high prices imposed on donated items, the employees are not afforded a livable wage, a fact that only adds insult to injury.
In light of these concerning practices, I strongly advise fellow shoppers to reconsider donating to or purchasing from this Goodwill location. It is evident that their priorities lie with profit rather than the well-being of the community they claim to serve.

Disheartening Experience at Goodwill -
Discrimination and DisrespectI had an incredibly disheartening experience at Goodwill on Saturday that I feel compelled to share. I visited the store with my young brother and asked for a discount on a donated toy so I could pay with a $10 bill. Manager Heather treated me with discrimination and disrespect, implying that my reason was not good enough, unlike the person beside me who was not questioned in the same manner. This treatment made my brother cry as Heather went out of her way to prevent him from purchasing the toy. It's deeply upsetting to witness such behavior, especially in a community-driven organization like Goodwill, where items are donated out of kindness. No child should be made to feel unwanted or cry due to unfair treatment. It's a reminder that respect and empathy should be at the forefront of every interaction, especially in retail settings. While Heather's behavior was appalling, it's also important to note that her boss, whose name I did not catch, seemed complicit in the situation, further exacerbating the problem. I urge Goodwill to address these issues promptly and ensure that every customer, regardless of their situation, is treated with dignity and respect.
Sincerely, Olivia + Eli ✊?

PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING TO ALTERNATIVES OTHER THAN GOODWILL. THEY PROFIT OFF YOUR DONATION AND UNDERPAY EMPLOYEES. THIS SOUTH AUSTIN LOCATION ESPECIALLY SO.
HERE ARE ALTERNATIVES TO GOODWILL DONATING THAT ACTUALLY HELP THR COMMUNITY.
In Austin, Texas, there are several alternatives to Goodwill and similar organizations where you can donate items or support community initiatives:
Austin Habitat for Humanity ReStore: They accept donations of furniture, home goods, building materials, and more. These items are resold, and proceeds support Habitat for Humanity's mission of building affordable housing.
Texas Thrift: This thrift store chain accepts donations of clothing, household items, electronics, and more. They have multiple locations in Austin and support local charitable organizations. The Salvation Army: They operate thrift stores where you can donate clothing, furniture, appliances, and other goods. Proceeds from sales help fund their social service programs.Austin Creative Reuse: This nonprofit organization accepts donations of arts and crafts supplies, office supplies, and other materials for reuse by artists, educators, and the community.
SAFE Alliance Thrift: SAFE Alliance operates thrift stores that accept donations of clothing, accessories, household items, and furniture. Proceeds support their services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Local Food Banks and Shelters: Consider donating items directly to local food banks, homeless shelters, or community centers. They often accept clothing, non-perishable food, hygiene products, and other essentials for those in need.
Community-based Organizations: Look for community-based organizations, shelters, or nonprofits that specifically serve marginalized or underserved populations. They may have donation programs or thrift stores that support their mission. Before donating, it's always a good idea to check each organization's donation guidelines, accepted items, and drop-off locations to ensure your donations are well-received and used effectively to benefit the community.
Thank you for being here.

I just left the store only to be accused of stealing a hamper which they don’t even sell. I was waiting in line with my 1 month old baby, mom, and grandmother. My mom had asked if I wanted to go wait in the car since she knew I was tired from being 4 weeks postpartum! So I took my baby and my bag with me. I was in the car waiting for my mom and grandmother when my mom came and ask me if a lady came and followed me out i was confused and said no why she than proceeded to tell me how the two ladies where saying the the lady with the carseat was stealing a hamper that she was going to follow me out and that I supposedly was using the car seat as a disguised which is stupid because when we first came in they said hello to us and made contact that we clearly had a baby in the car seat. I have always come to this goodwill and always found good things but this will be the last time I come here those lady’s are stupid! and if I was really stealing something don’t you think me and my whole family would have ran out! My mom and grandma wouldn’t have bought what the found at the store if we where stealing and if y’all are so sure check the cameras y’all have!!

I am very upset because my sister and I arrived at the store and since we arrived one of the employees treated us with a very bad attitude and told us that no, we could measure our clothes depending on what because they closed at 7 when we arrived around from 6:30 and the store hours say they close at 8, terrible service, I never fly to go to that store where they treat you badly
