While I have always had a pleasant experience at this store, this is more specifically about the lessons I have received from Madeline Mattocks. Maddy creates such a positive and professional environment to be able to learn more about golf. She see's what needs to improve and then tackles the issue. I am surprised at how much information I get from only a half an hour lesson. I have already had a couple and will be taking a couple more because it is helping my game so tremendously. I would highly recommend her services.

walked in looking to get fit for a driver and got chewed out by a staff member for looking at clubs in one of the 3 open fitting docks. He rudely told me to go to the practice area without even asking what I was looking for.

Have a 3 lesson package with Maddie their golf instructor and it was such an amazing lesson! Felt comfortable and at home with her putting on my favorite artist in the background and she’s super personable and easy to talk to. Loved that she assessed where my skills are and even gave me things to work on at home. Just after the first lesson my contact and swing have improved greatly! I look like a changed person on the course and at the range. Looking forward to future lessons with her, I HIGHLY recommend!

Came in to this store originally as an occasional shopper to buy balls and smaller stuff. Always a solid experience.
I recently saved up enough to buy my first ever(for me)new set of golf clubs. I did a fitting at pga superstore, and then did one here. Honestly a much more in depth and satisfying experience at golf galaxy. Steve fitted me for irons and I had such a positive experience that I came back and did a driver fitting. I recommend this store to anyone who really wants to know they’re getting the right club for their swing.

Great selection on clubs & shoes etc. however the staff really puts off the "you don't know what you are talking about, you silly customer" feel. Honestly I think I could handle it just fine without them

I recently have been taking lessons here with Maddie Mattocks, and I couldn't be more pleased with the instruction I have received. I have played golf for a while and have developed several poor swing habits and so I needed someone that could work with me through these challenges. I also wanted to find an instructor who could effectively guide me through the complexities of golf while making the learning process enjoyable. Fortunately, my worries were quickly dispelled upon meeting Maddie.
From the outset, Maddie exuded professionalism and expertise. Her passion for the game was palpable, and it was evident that she possessed a profound understanding of golfing techniques and strategies. What truly set her apart, however, was her exceptional ability to communicate and teach effectively.
Throughout our sessions, Maddie demonstrated remarkable patience and encouragement, always saying "that's ok" when I badly mishit a ball. She tailored her instruction to suit my body type, play style and challenges. Her explanations were clear and concise, making even the most intricate aspects of the game easily comprehensible.
Beyond her technical proficiency, Maddie fostered a supportive and nurturing learning environment. She consistently provided constructive feedback and practical tips for improvement, instilling me with confidence and motivation to continue honing my skills. Her enthusiasm for teaching was infectious, and I found myself eagerly looking forward to each lesson. I am also planning on bringing any of my grandchildren to her if/when they show interest in golfing.
Not only has Maddie enhance my golfing game, but she also imparted invaluable lessons that have helped me become a more complete golfer. Her dedication, positivity, and unwavering belief in her students' potential served as a source of inspiration, motivating me to strive for excellence on the course.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Maddie to anyone seeking high-quality golf instruction. Her expertise, professionalism, and genuine passion for teaching make her an invaluable asset to the golfing community. Thanks to her guidance, I've not only improved my golf game but also gained a newfound appreciation for the sport. I eagerly anticipate continuing my journey under her tutelage and am confident that she will help me reach new heights in my golfing endeavors.

I was recently in Austin TX for work and stopped into golf galaxy to “just look around”. I was approached by an employee named Madeline pretty quickly. I explained to her that while I was a newer golfer, I was looking into upgrading my irons. She suggested I look at their used club selection to save me some money and gathered several different ones for me to try out. She spent a while helping me on their simulator as I gave the clubs some abuse.
Without any solicitation on her part, I asked if I could get a lesson from her. We started right away and Madeline was incredibly patient with me as she corrected my grip and overall poor swing habits. Concluding the golf lesson, I felt I was definitely gaining some control and consistency. Furthermore, we narrowed down my preferred club and grip size. Madeline was a massive help and I was impressed with her abilities as a golf instructor! That being said, I cannot recommend her enough for anybody looking for some help!
Additionally!! The following day I scheduled an appointment to get fitted. I was paired with Steve and he went above and beyond to help me as well. Steve got my club face closed up and got me fitted! He probably should have charged me for the extra work he put in honestly.
So Huge shout out to Madeline and Steve for their outstanding customer service and obvious love of the game! They are both super friendly and helpful and they deserve some recognition!

This place rocks! Wide selection of new and used clubs and a great staff. Book a golf lesson with it’s worth the time and the prices are very reasonable

Customer service was unbelievably condescending. I walked in prepared to spend 3k on a new setup. The items that I wanted were already in my online cart for quick reference and I wanted to come in to hit a few shots before ordering new irons, wedges, woods, a driver, and bag. I hit a few shots without any interruption. However, my Hispanic friend was immediately approached after his second swing by a middle aged white employee and rudely and publicly chastised for using the same bay that I, and several people before me, had been using immediately before.
I couldn’t find one club I was looking for. I am 100% convinced that it is shoved too far up that associate’s rear end to ever recover. Unbelievable way to interact with a customer that could be used as a master class for losing customers.
I’ll purchase from The Golf Ranch in Georgetown and suggest that you do the same- unless you enjoy being patronized while shopping.

The worse customer service from the white beard men. Only one guy was very friendly and very helpful. I went in for an iron and asked for help to the white dude and he ignores me and stares at me and my friend. The worse experience I had at a golf store. We went to a different guy who was an asian men. He was really friendly measuring out stuff for us. When we were measuring the same white guy tells us to go to a different testing place which was worse than the one we were. He told us that it was reserved. However, we stayed in the store for an hour and no one came. Absolutely horrible service from the other guy except one person. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I ended up not buying anything and left. Absolutely worse. So rude.

Skylar has provided top-notch service both times I’ve been in. He really knows his stuff when it comes to club selection, and for a novice golfer who’s just getting back into the sport, he is incredibly patient. Looking forward to working with him on my next upgrades.
