I cancelled my membership on May 9 at the downtown Austin location. I was told that I'd not be billed after mid-June, but I was still billed through July. Eventually, I blocked the charges with my credit card company. It is September, and I still get payment emails.
Don't recommend this chain because of such an experience.

Great space. Always clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. My personal trainer Sofia has me on a challenging program and keeps track of my progress and keeps me accountable. If you’re looking for a very knowledgeable and professional trainer this is the best place to work out and the best place to find a PT.

I love the architecture of the inside of Golds on 6th but i dislike that there is a 15$ charge a month if you want to use the parking garage.. then again .. it’s the city so I get it!!

The staff is good and friendly. It's just a shame that that place became a strip club, they should put a code on shorts for both men and women, they wear so many mini shorts that it's unhygienic, and it's super uncomfortable having to see private parts, they should put attention on that

your basic gold's with decent equipment and enough room to work out. Best silver sneakers class is with Barbara.

I recently visited Gold's Gym nearby and was really impressed. The staff was super friendly, and the equipment was top-notch. I especially liked the standing hamstring curl machine. Plus, having a sauna there was a nice bonus. And there were plenty of squat racks, some even had cable machines built in!

The gym is clean and comfortable to visit. My issue is with the sauna. 1. It is co-ed and not spacious. 2. The seating has sharp jagged edges that rip your clothing. I ripped a brand new pair of workout leggings and when I came out to tell the manager he said "Oh I know, we are working on that" what?! So you know that the seating is ripping peoples clothing but you continue to keep the sauna open and have no signage giving a warning? The manager provided no remedy for my ripped brand new leggings and for that reason alone, I wont come back.

I joined about a month ago and have loved my experience so far. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The vibe is great. Lots of areas and equipment to use. If you are wondering if you should join - do it!

Solid gym. Most equipment works but sometimes some are broken. Giving one star rating due to experience with front desk attendant Cassandra G during my cancellation due to relocation process.
Update: spoke with the reasonable GM who helped remediate the situation so increasing to 3 stars.

Started out as a Future Firm member. Worlds Gym bought out Future Firm and then Golds bought our Worlds. Been a member one way or the other since 1995.
I like the William Cannon location. Decent amount of space and equipment.
