Great job stripping and dyeing a pair of business casual shoes for me. The owner and I discussed the job in detail and he had me check by at several steps along the way. Professional communication, excellent outcome and very reasonable price. This is my new go-to guy in south Austin. A+ recommended.

What an interesting and nice boot shop. I dropped off my custom-made boots for a leather treatment and shine. I had not worn them in about five years. Less than 24 hours later they looked as good as new.

I had to come back and make four trips there and back and there and back because they did not even do the repair on my boot. Now when I came back the fourth time, the work is terrible there’s glue showing on my boot super poor quality and very rude service. Do not go here.

Lost 8 pairs of our shoes… repeated attempts over 60 days to cure have gone ignored by Mr Hernandez. Was previously an Amazing institution (sadly it has past its prime) ownership has lost regard for ethics .. so I would look out for them to close or sell soon. Desire to be a great business appears to be over

Excellent service. Told us our boots would be ready on Monday but to check in on Friday. They were ready way ahead of schedule. Only had to wait two days.

I’ve lived in the neighborhood for over 2 years and pass Golden Slipper every day and thought I should try them when I needed some repairs done. I used to go to Austin Shoe Hospital but didn’t always have great results and the prices were steep. I took a pair of boots in to Golden Slipper for new heals (they were down to the metal part and I’d damaged the boot so I didn’t know how things would work out) the owner could not have been nicer - and the price was incredibly inexpensive. Not only that, my boots were ready the next day - and look perfect. No sign of damage. I’m super happy. I hope everyone supports this awesome small business ?

My boyfriend's Tecova belt was a little big and these guys did an awesome job in resizing it. Easy process, took a couple days and the shark belt looks awesome. Thank yall!
