Both of my daughters have been in Girl Scouts since kindergarten. Now one is a senior Girl Scout and one is a Cadette. I am the leader of the Cadette troop #40406. The years of activities that the girls have done together has formed friendships for life. As we get older and busier schedules it is harder to get together. However this year we have still been on 2 campouts (Ropes Courses, BB Gun shooting, Cooking, and some plain relaxing fun like Camp Jellystone) We still do World Thinking Day every year and hosted as France, We went to Girl Day at UT. Worked on Our First Aide and Babysitting badges and Primitive camper badges, Financial budgeting with cookie $. So rewarding! When I was asked to lead a troop because no one else would do it- I did not think I had the capacity of time around work and other kids sports. But it really doesn't take that much time to make sure they get together for meetings twice a month and a few extra fun things. Please consider becoming a leader- it is regarding you you as well as the girls!

Girl Scouts of Central Texas is a wonderful organization! The shop is lovely, and the people there are always helpful. They've patiently sifted through badges with me on more than one occasion. The council offices are in the same building and can be reached using the same phone number. Whenever I call, whether for support as a troop leader or as a parent, their responses are quick and kind.We are particularly lucky to have an extraordinary service unit to boot - Thanks Midtown SU! Our troop is nearly two years old now, and we are feeling rooted and strong. Our girls have had an amazing year, and we are all looking forward to another year of Girl Scouting!

Love the opportunity to spend time with my Girl Scout kids through an organization that promotes leadership essentials of courage, confidence, & character. Parent volunteers are always needed to be troop leaders, troop treasurers, troop camp coordinators, and in various other roles. This is a safe space for girls to learn and practice leadership and life skills that will equip them with tools to thrive in their future world. Best of all they will build lifelong friendships.

Have been a volunteer with Girl Scouts for over a decade and while there's always ups and downs, the staff at GSCTX is usually pretty good at responding and helping the volunteers. The products staff is especially great at helping make sure our Cookie season is as successful as possible!

I hope Girl scouts have seen a drop in sales since they have now raised their prices to $5 a box...I feel that is a ridiculous amount to pay no matter how good they are, they're just not worth that much...I no longer support Girl Scouts...

We love Girl Scouts Central Tx. This is year 5 of being a troop leader. I was a troop volunteer for the year before I became a co-leader. We have had such a wonderful time watching our girls grow from little daisy scouts into confident and brave cadette scouts. GSCTX has supported us along the way. I was intimidated to be a leader, but with in person and online trainings from the council, I have been supported in all I need to be a successful leader. The best part is if there is an issue or a problem, the folks with our council's customer service have been responsive, actionable, and helpful the whole way through any challenge. I'm proud to be a part of this strong organization.

Girl Scouts of Central Texas is an extraordinary organization. The dedication to helping girls reach their full potential is palpable. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is dedicated. The programs are both fun and educational. I highly recommended this organization both as a girl program and an adult volunteer opportunity.

My daughter and I attended an "Open House" for the Girl Scouts of Central Texas. We arrived with enthusiasm and excitement to learn about the organization. We walked up to the table that clearly listed our daughter's school on it and were told they had no place for her in their troop. When I asked for for further details related to how we can join a different troop possibly, the Troop Leader, turned her head and began speaking to another family. My daughter (as well as myself) left confused as to how and why we weren't given the few minutes it took to give answers. My daughter will not be joining an organization that clearly didn't have time to converse with us briefly.
