“Has fresh fruit like all others but has some amazing food to eat there or to go. Very delicious and good prices only thing over priced and different tasting is there aquas frescas has a funny taste to them.”
“It is a place completely for what you are looking for, name in Spanish, product for Latinos, but I had the grace of meeting the Indian-Pakistani owners, well, they found the American dream with Latinos.”
“Love this neighborhood grocery store. It has everything you need plus some fun things you won't find at other stores. Prices tend to be higher but look for sales for great deals. The staff are lovely. Fresh breakfast tacos and coffee in the mornings.”
“I love that they still allow regular non restaurant owners to buy groceries from them. You just have to go pickup now. Their $20 produce box never fails to be an amazing deal with super fresh and delicious items.”
“Overall, good store. It has a good selection from different countries. Staff is very helpful and sweet. Most of the food is reasonably priced, and I like the variety of meat and seafood they have to offer. They have a food court, and their breakfast is very tasty. I recommend the fried bread and soy milk.
The produce section has seen better days and the last few trips, I've noticed mouldy fruits, and insects in the produce. Hopefully they clean it up.”

“Its not Arlans anymore-This place was formerly minimax. Back then it was like 50's time warp. A few years ago it was taken over by Arlan's, a small chain. It was a big improvement, more produce, better products, better hours and more. As of Spring 2021 it has been taken over by Fresh Plus. As of Sept 2021 they are still re-arranging and re-stocking the store so in some respects it is a work in progress. But what I've seen so far is a reduction in the variety of products they carry (especially produce) . You don't shop here if your on a budget as well. They do have an expanded beer and wine selection which seems to take up about 1/5 of the store now, I guess that's what sells at greater margins. The other "neighborhood" grocery stores have similar footprints for booze.Hours got cut (they close at 9) from Arlans, not quite as much charm either. The last of the mini-max era people have left as well. We'll see how it finally shakes out.It still a good place to go to pick up something fast (if they ever quit moving things around and you can find it).”
