I had a great experience working with Ty. He's knowledgeable about not only the flooring products but also the entire system that goes into creating a long lasting floor. While visiting my job site, he made a number of observations and recommendations for fixes to things not even related to the floor work! Highly recommend him!

They were very helpful in selecting grout and even called the manufacturer with some questions. They then went to pick up at the distributor the next day for us. For such a small purchase they went out of their way to help.

Buyer beware! This company installed the wrong tile, then told me I was wrong when I pointed it out, then called the vendor who shipped it to schedule a delivery of more of the wrong tile and told me they could get more of the tile I hadn't ordered later that day? I was yelled at by the owner that it was not their fault they received the wrong tile; I agreed with that statement, however, it was their fault for installing the wrong tile. It was corrected but still unpleasant and for all their mistakes I've never received an apology. They continued to blame us for being "inflexible" with our schedules even though their employees would fail to show up when scheduled if they showed up at all. We paid a high premium for what we thought would be quality management and workmanship --- we were wrong! We paid thousands for new baseboards and shoe molding and painting of them and now we have installed and uninstalled engineered hardwood boards with paint smears. They treat your property with little to respect; we suffered damages not just to our newly purchased floors but to our existing ones. We learned early on if you point out issues they say they'll "fix" that it only made the issue worse. Cannot stress enough to look elsewhere for your flooring needs. The owner current seeking financial retribution for another review I've posted. I am heartbroken that we spent so much money and that our nightmare with them doesn't seem to ever end.

I had a very time restricting last minute project that required a crew to work on taking out carpet on a 160 sq ft room and lay tile. All material was already purchased by me. I needed to do this project during New year's when most people were obviously not working. I inquired about the job on New Year's Eve, they had the crew the next day to work on the project. TY, the owner was always available via text or phone call and took the time to explain in detailed questions on phone (esp. it being a holiday). He came on site to check in w me and supervised the beginning part of the project. The team leader was also very good. Although they quoted me a day and a half, his crew ended up working about 8-9 hours on this project to compete it before my deadline. Out of the other companies I got quotes from, Floored seemed to be on the more costly end but if you are on a deadline to complete a project and it is worth it for you, I would recommend Floored. The team didn't seem to cover up their work area in order to avoid dust from spreading from their job and we had to do some detailed clean up after the job, but they hauled everything with the fee they charged me. They also take your money up front if the job is under 5k, so this is something to be aware of. Thanks Floored for your hard work and working with my deadline.

I paid Floored back in September $1500 to do shoe moulding and some caulking in my house. They sent one worker who did an absolutely horrific job. I sent them pictures of where the shoe moulding pieces did not even connect to each other (...what?) and some pieces did not even touch the wall (...also, what?) and the caulking that was not even done to begin with. The worker who came out the first time missed both bathrooms and the master closet which I also paid for. I called back and sent them pictures of the terrible job that was done and they were understanding and sent the same worker back within a few days. However, I was not home when the worker came back, and the job was still never done and what was done was sloppy and incomplete. Multiple rooms to this day were never even completed although I paid for them and were included in my square footage that was measured and paid for. Other rooms still have shoe moulding that does not touch the walls, and both showers that we paid to have caulked still have cracks and water can seep through. The people I dealt with from Floored were great, but the worker sent out should never have been hired. I have a lot more work to be done in this house and will never use them again.

Floored did a wonderful job installing vinyl in our condo. They worked with our renters to ensure quick installation. We were finally able to see it this past weekend and couldn't be more happy! Great job!

We had a horrible experience with Floored. Most of the finishing work had to be rescheduled 3 or 4 times because their sub-contractors just didn't show up. Not sure why our original review was taken down by Yelp? We had our bathroom tile chipped by someone working for Floored. Also, the days they were here our bathroom was disgusting...other contractors did not leave our bathroom covered in urine, that was them. Probably the worst was the attitude of owner, Ty Storey, getting upset with me when his tile guy installed the wrong tile. In an agitated state he angrily stated it was not his fault the vendor sent the wrong tile, to which I agreed. However, it was his fault the wrong tile was installed --- the Floored staff should do better than rely on the client to accept the wrong tile. That's what he wanted me to do. That tile sat in their warehouse or store for over a week before it was installed...absolutely no one checked to see if it matched what was ordered. Our experience with Floored continued to be unpleasant because of the horrible relationship they have with their sub-contracted installers. The client is put in the middle having to reschedule after last minute cancellations and no-shows. Nightmare! A very expensive and tedious nightmare.

We had such a difficult time trying to get vinyl flooring installed in our new house because so many other companies continued to push the installation back. I called Ty and Mike at Floored in desperation before Labor Day Weekend to see if they could possibly start that weekend so we could move our things into our house by the end of the weekend. I was shocked when they said they could do it and they actually followed through unlike other companies. Miguel and his colleagues, who work for Ty, did most of the work and did an amazing job!

Worked with John Storey and his crew to remodel my condo and can't give higher praise. They were extremely flexible in taking initial measurements and offering ideas on options for flooring materials as well as paint colors. Their show room floor gives tons of great options and they allowed me to take home lots of samples to imagine how they would look within my condo. They work with great people and we arrived at an incredible finished product. The floors looked fantastic. They painted my entire place with extraordinary detail. Replaced a door. My place was spotless at the finish. These guys really do have the ability to do just about anything and give a fantastic product while being extremely friendly and easy to work with. TL;DR. Great people. Awesome product. Highly recommend. Thanks John!

I haven't written many reviews, but these folks deserve a special mention. From the beginning stages of quoting the project to its completion today, Adam's attention to detail and support walking my wife and I through the process was invaluable. He and the entire group (including Gustavo who did the actual sanding and refinishing) at Floored have been really special to work with, and if we ever need anything floor-related, I'll rest easy knowing these people really know their stuff and care about their customers. Adam visited our house twice, articulated exactly how the project would be executed and when we could expect its completion, and everything has been just as he said it would be. My wife and I couldn't be happier with Gustavo's work, and I recommend Floored without pause for anyone looking to embark on a floor project. Welll done, gang!

I can't believe it has taken me this long to leave this review!!! The owner, Ty Storey, & his crew are simply extraordinary. Mr. Storey proved to be outstanding in his field. He is passionate about delivering quality work, and it shows!!! My flooring was, and still is impeccable. Mr. Storey and his crew were proficient, courteous, and professional throughout the entire experience! I had new hardwoods installed on the main floor and refinished the upstairs hardwood flooring. Every other company said that they couldn't save the existing hardwoods, and advised that I should replace them with all new product, which they would also charge to install. This greatly exceeded my budget thereby forcing me to continue shopping around. Am I glad I did!!! I contacted Mr. Storey, at "FLOORED", and after the initial consult, he assured me that they would be able to do this. (So was everyone else just trying to upsell me, or are these guys just that good at what they do...?) It has been a couple of years since the install, and everything still looks great!

I came to Floored after reading reviews and wanted to work with local company near my house. Brandon came out to the property, measured, gave me a competitive bid that was on the higher end but because I thought I could work with him with tenants, I went with them. Sadly, Brandon left and then the project got tabled. However, after a little initial frustration (nothing at all compared to some contractors I've dealt with in Austin--don't even get me started), I ended up working with both Amy and Ty. Although they were short staffed with the loss of Brandon, they did treat the project with priority and respect and gave me updates all along the way and really explained everything in detail so I understood what was going on and what to expect and what my options were (Ty is super thoughtful). In the end, the tile I got for my bathroom and the carpet that I got for my master bedroom, dining room and living room look absolutely stellar! My tenants are super particular so I appreciate both Ty and Miguel (the installer's) attention to both detail and ownership of problems as they arose. I do highly recommend Ty and his crew. My biggest tip with them and really with any contractor is to do a complete walk though of the area in question and really be sure you all are on same page with all work that needs to be completed and what is and what is NOT included on the job. I had no idea that furniture moving, toilet removal (for tiling), and any damage associated with baseboard removal might not be included in what one might assume is included in overall cost. So be sure to ask them or anyone for that matter for their contract from the start. To make an analogy: no use agreeing to get married (i.e. moving forward with the work in question), if the prenupt (i.e. contractor contract) is out of the question :) Anyway, long story short: great work Ty and Amy and Kay and especially Miguel as you are the muscle behind the work. Thx, guys! My tenants and I love it!!
