I love Deep Eddy for Swimming. And I walked in the back way (parked under the Mopac Bridge on the South side of the River last Sunday because I knew with Austin making the pool free during the heatwave.I only had one in ident this year where the Pool wasn't clean. Generally they do a great job.

Spring fed and is always nice and cold even in the hot days of Texas summers. Has a nice shallow area that drops into a deep end. I prefer Deep Eddy over Barton Springs but both are very nice.

Parking was tough, I had the finger shot, 3 actually , at me because I was waiting for a person leaving and was forced to reverse when people got out of the car to fight over parking. All to spend 30 mins in the water because a kid threw up and they closed the pool.

Beautiful natural spring pool. It’s normally fairly clean but with the hot temperatures there’s more algae than usual so the shallow end is a bit slick on the bottom. The deep side is perfect to cool down on a 100 degrees day. They won’t let small children with floaties on the deep side though FYI. No food or drinks allowed on the grass, just the tables up top. The shallow end of the pool has a beach like entrance which is good for little swimmers.Restrooms: Outdoor bathrooms - super humid but spacious!

Best way to beat the heat in Austin. I can workout, outdoors, and feel refreshed in the cool water. It’s both athlete and kid friendly.

Great big pool. Lap pool on one side. Plenty of shade. It's spring water so it's very cold! Staff and lifeguards are very friendly. We'll be back!

Such a fun find, excited to have been able to hit the pool. In evening in spring it was not to bad to get in a lane. I can see how this place can get slammed

The are open year round, but the shallow side might be clised during winter. Parking can be an issue, but you can usually find a place close enough to walk. The having to buy tickets at one of those parking meters instead of paying the cashier directly is as annoying as ever other pool in Austin.
