Rating all of the dollar trees in the Austin area, I give this one a 4/10 because the selection was SO limited. The shelves were practically bare, aside from arts and crafts and storage. They also didn’t have *any* of the newer items. Giving a high Google review because the customer service was actually good.

The Customer Service here (with one individual is terrible). She has black hair and wears fake eyelashes. She has an attitude with everyone. I don’t know why she is so grumpy and unhappy. It would make life easier if she would just carry on and be kind. Pleasant even. Nonetheless, she does not want to do her job. She just wants to stand around there and complain and she even tries to force you to do things you don’t want t do as a customer, ((like don’t ask for cash back or don’t stand in line for too long or don’t touch too much stuff and mess up her aisle.)) It’s one thing after another with this lady. I definitely WILL NOT go this dollar tree ever again, very disappointed. Very very disappointed.

Oh my gosh. The most shocking experience I’ve ever had Witnessing and experiencing employees verbally insult their customers In front of other customers, and employees. It was so uncomfortable And humiliating for the woman who was called, broke several times by the man at the checkout line we’re not being able to afford the item she brought up to the counter. When I politely said to him that I thought that was not nice, He reiterated his point that she was too, broke to buy what she wanted to buy… so It was clear that he had no Regrets or reservations about how he treats customers. Him and a girl who also works there were Going out of their way to make people feel unwelcome because they wanted to go home. I can understand that, but, I’m sure Dollar tree doesn’t want their employees acting like that. You’re open until 10. Yes, it’s annoying if people check out close to 10. And If the last customer’s Transaction goes THREE, Yes, only three minutes over closing time, Because they have been Rude and Completely out of line Speaking to customers in a way that I was Not going to get heated about but.. Would make anyone uncomfortable and upset. So I felt the need to let them know how my experience was in a non-confrontational way, however, These specific employees were not there to Help customers have a pleasant shopping experience, They seem to be missing the point of what their jobs are

We needed a last minute item from Dollar Tree. We noticed they closed at 10pm so we drove there in the rain super fast to get there before closing just to grab this one item we needed for our business. We arrive in the pouring rain at 9:52pm. At that point we said “ let’s rush inside and grab and pay because they’re about to close”. As we were walking to the door, this employee (pictured below) gets to the doors before us and locks them literally right in our face. Then he says with so much attitude “we’re closed!” Right as we were going to tell him we still have 8 minutes he purposely just walked away. This is the problem with many of these stores. There closing time is 10pm, but these employees think they have the “right” to close whenever they want because they want to go home. I get that you’re tired. But if your store closes at 10pm then that’s when the store closes. Doors shouldn’t be locked at 9:52 because you’re “tired” super disappointing and to be honest very unprofessional. I will be contacting Dollar Tree corporate.

Manager was rude and they charged me extra but claimed my card was declined, more than likely think there is some kind of skimmer or scam going on. Do not tap to pay only cash.
