I recently had the pleasure of getting my hair and makeup done by Chassie, the talented owner of Crown of Glory Beauty, and I must say it was an experience that left me feeling absolutely amazing. I feel so lucky to have had Chassie by my side on my special day. Not only is she extremely talented, she really listens to what you want and ensures that you're feeling good about the process along the way. It was really important to me to not feel super "made up" on my day and I feel like Chassie gave me an elevated version of me that still *looked* like me (if you have seen some of the makeup "before & after" transformations out there, you know what I'm talking about!). Also, she is just a lovely person to chat with and she kept me feeling calm and collected on my day when the nerves were starting to kick in. Thank you so much, Chassie for making me feel gorgeous!!

I could go on and on about how amazing my experience with Chassie was! She made me (and my friends & family!) feel so comfortable and so at home in her beautiful little studio. I never do my hair or wear makeup, so I was particularly nervous about this, but Chassie made certain that I felt naturally beautiful and comfortable in my own skin! Most of all, she is simply such a bright light and incredible source of acceptance, joy, and encouragement. In my search for a hair&makeup artist for my wedding day, it was important to me that they: had experience with people of color (particularly Asians), were personable, and knew not to cake on makeup to where I didn’t feel/look like myself. Crown of Glory did all of those things and went BEYOND. And this just felt like my personal bonus: HER LOVE FOR GOD!!Cassie made me feel incredibly comfortable and beautiful for someone who does not use/wear makeup every day, and her products are amazing!! I do lean more on the sensitive skin side, and I had no irritations or reactions.She is the most kind, considerate, and amazing human being ever and talking with her on my big day was an absolute blessing. Chassie and her team gave us the BEST hair and makeup experience on my wedding day!At the hair and makeup trial, Chassie was fully invested in getting to know me as a person. Since I wasn't sure of the style I wanted at the time, she meticulously created multiple updos and half-up half down styles, so that I could see which one was my favorite for the big day. Once we were finished, she restyled my hair so that I could take engagement photos the same day. Chassie was hospitable and professional in her beautifully renovated studio.On our wedding day, the Crown of Glory team was organized and efficient, while took their time to ensure each person felt themselves with an elevated style. I wanted my bridesmaids to have a variety of styles, which Crown of Glory achieved to fit their personalities and styles. Our wedding guests mentioned to us how natural each one of the bridesmaid's hair and makeup looked. Chassie went above and beyond, even letting me rent her personal cathedral length veil for the experience. The Austin-based makeup products she uses are purposely natural and lightweight, with perfect coverage. I purchased some of her products for everyday use because I love it so much!The wedding day morning with Crown of Glory made the getting ready experience effortless, fun, and stress free. I cannot say enough about Chassie and her team at Crown of Glory!!! They did my wedding hair and makeup, as well as hair and makeup for all of my bridesmaids. Obviously the final products were beautiful, but Chassie made the entire process appear flawless (even though I know the logistics weren’t easy). Doing a trial beforehand was super helpful with deciding exactly what I wanted - Chassie wanted make sure I looked exactly how I pictured myself in my mind without compromise. She made me feel so beautiful, while still ensuring that I looked and felt like myself. She kept me totally happy and calm, which was a pretty amazing accomplishment. This review will probably be long but the tldr version is: Literally, just hire Chassie.Chassie is an absolute FORCE. She got thrown into a crazy situation with my weddings (two days back to back, one Hindu and one Western, with a 5am start time for Hindu wedding). She showed up at 5:00am on the dot with a smile on her face in a full suit (SO stylish), totally prepared and ready to go. She even brought her own giant light to the hotel to make sure we were well lit. My hair and makeup looks for each wedding day were completely different from each other and Chassie executed both flawlessly which goes to show her range. I even asked that she use some of my products that I know work for me and she was happy to, except she used them way better than I ever had (like I asked her to use my foundation but the way she did it made my skin look so glowy and it lasted way longer than ever before? Incredible.) Girl has TECHNIQUE.Her team also did my mom and MOB/Bridesmaids makeup and everyone told me how comfortable and confident Chassie and her team made them. My mom said she'd never felt so beautiful! I also got so many compliments from loved ones saying that I looked beautiful and glamorous but totally "like myself" which is Chassie's specialty. I didn't feel like I was wearing a mask and I felt liked I looked just as good in person as I did in photos. Her looks also have LONGEVITY. I have oily skin so obviously powder was needed but I have never required such minimal touchups. I wore my wedding hair and makeup for 12 hours for my Hindu Ceremony and it still looked good. She had pinned jasmine and babies' breath in my hair and not a bloom was out of place, even after sun, dancing, and being hoisted in the air by multiple family members. It was true magic.Chassie is also just really good, calming, uplifting energy to have around you, especially on a day as hectic and emotional as your wedding day. She makes you feel so warm and welcome, like an old friend. And she truly LISTENED to everything I said I wanted, even the small things, and readily made tweaks when I asked for them. It is obvious that she cares a lot about her Clients both professionally and personally. Yes, she is expensive but honestly she is worth every single penny. In the future if I ever have a photo shoot or important event, I would gladly book Chassie again. I cannot hype her up enough, she's amazing.Also - her husband and business partner, Noah, does a wonderful job communicating all of the logistics: scheduling, timelines, payments, etc. He is lovely to deal with and they make a wonderful team. Omg Chassie was the absolute BEST! She is super talented and was so sweet and easy to work with for my wedding weekend! I don’t get my makeup done that often so I wanted to make sure I could still look like my natural self as a bride, and I loved how she was able to do just that by amplifying my go-to look using the same colors and tones I always use (but with her extra touch to make you feel like the perfect bride!) I also loved my hair- she did natural waves which was exactly what I wanted and worked with me until we perfected the half-up style I went with! Highly recommend!! Chassie is not only an incredible makeup artist/hair sorceress, she is ALSO a wonderful human being. I had my wedding postponed due to COVID and Chassie worked with me the whole time (and didn't charge me a cent). She made me look beautiful on my big day, graciously squeezed in my MIL's hair and makeup (and made her look lovely, as well!) and was such a pleasure to work with.
