We lived here for a year when my wife and I first moved from San Antonio to Austin. I went to work for Dell and they hired an apartment finder to locate us close to the office. We ended up on the third floor which I will never do again. The neighbors were noisy, whiners and our cars were broken into multiple times. We stayed just long enough to locate a home and never looked back. Not recommended.

I’ve been living in CH for a year now, and I love it. Affordable and spacious apartments. The main office team and the maintenance team always take care of my needs and concerns. They are closely located to all the major highways which is an easy commute to where you need to be. I would recommend CH to anyone looking for a new home.

These people are horrible people. Do not rent from them run and run fast. How can you put a grieving mama out who just lost their son? No parent is supposed to bury their child but in this case that what had happened and all so suddenly as Mr. Harrison had no medical problems so it was definitely a shock. What kind of human being can do this and sleep at night? How can one live with themselves after telling an elderly grieving mom they have to move out because her name wasn't on the lease. Mr. Harrison was a good, peaceful and respectful person and tenant that always paid rent on time. He took care of his mom. Wherever she needed to go he would take her. He was her rock. Now that was just snatched from her and then you have management with no sympathy. Mrs. Harrison has been there in these apartments for a minute and management has known this and never said anything. The rent has been paid this month (August) and Mrs Harrison wants to pay next month (September) rent just to give her some extra time in her son's home. Mrs Harrison was very close to her son and this has really taking everything from her and for them to have no understanding is inhuman. Being in the home for a little bit longer may help gv her some peace although it will never ease the burden of losing a child. Why can't these people have some understanding or some kind of heart. I was taught you never kick a person when they are down and this is exactly what they are doing. Mrs Harrison is a good and loving person and is loved by many and I just hate seeing her go through all this. She didn't want me to say anything but right is right. Give this lady her time to grieve in her son's home. Please in Jesus name!

Current state of my apartment for over a week now! Multiple water leaks and damage and no compensation or anything has been given to remedy this huge inconvenience! Maintenance even threw out some of personal belongings without my permission. Had to go stay elsewhere as the conditions were unlivable. Do not rent here!

Lived here for about 5 years from 2007-2012. It's a very quiet complex. Can't hear 35 even right next to it. Has well established trees and decent layout. Can't say anything about management bc when management is working correctly you hardly know they exists. Maintenance done in a timely fashion considering others that I've lived with.

I took off work today for a Scheduled Appointment so my daughter could see & apply for an apartment. It's a little over an Hour from Killeen to Austin. I would've Appreciated a phone call to Cancel the appointment in instead of time off work & driving expenses only to be told the Last 1 bd apartment was Rented Out This Morning.

So, I never write reviews really, but I will feel guilty if I don't warn others about these apartments. I just got charged over $5000 for moving out 3 months early, with notice from me months before that I'd be leaving at the end of my lease. I lived there for almost 6 years. I never felt safe. I didn't sleep well. I mostly just stayed inside once I got home as to not attract any attention to myself. Sketch af. I lived in 2 different buildings during my time at cricket hollow. The first one had horrible water damage all over the ceiling everywhere. One day I noticed that there was some black fuzzy mold growing on my living room wall. Right next to the sofa where people sit. I took a picture and told them and yes maintenance came and handled it quickly but all they did was scrape it off and paint over it. There was clearly a much bigger issue goin on. When I moved to my 2nd unit there in a different building I realized after about 3 weeks there was a bug problem. I never felt like I could walk around barefoot in my own home. For fear of what kind of creature I could step on. Then when the freeze hit a few years ago by house flooded. They kept saying it was fixed an then it would flood again took a few times til they finally stopped it for good. Either way the flooding started in one of my clothes closets and they had left a whole in the drywall in the closet and I heard rats that night and swore they were coming in. About a year passed and then I came home one day, and my carpet in my bedroom where my wooden bookshelf was, was soaking wet. Turns out they say that there's a leak coming from upstairs but that they fixed it. They came and cut out a small portion of the carpet and replaced that piece unfortunately that wasn't the only carpet that had been soaked. My bookshelf was ruined there was mildew all over the bottom of it. So that was trash. A few weeks late I noticed it again in the same spot and spread to my closet. It was spreading. They never replaced the padding under that portion of carpet nor did they replace the rest of the carpet that had also been soaked. They said they fixed it again and I said okay. Mind you I was a good quiet resident I minded my business and paid my rent and was respectful and understanding more than I even should've been. I started to notice the ceiling in my hall looked like there was moisture on it. Sure enough it was clearly wet from some water coming from upstairs. The same leaked they fixed twice right. Then the ceiling over my bathtub had water damage that got progressively worse and was clearly from a current problem not a past one. Then I noticed there was more mold growing on the ceiling I looked up one day and there it was. It was new spots. And there was clearly moisture in that spot as well. You get the idea. I made maintenance requests to try to eliminate the huge mold issue once and for all. I took pictures and literally explained where every spot in each photo was I will post all the pictures below. They came and said that it was water damage from a previous leak and had painters come paint over it. Except due to the moisture in those areas you could see it through the paint. They called it done. A few weeks later I was at home on my only day off and started to get super itchy I broke out in hives and my throat started to swell. It was awful. I had to call in to work and then I realized I couldn't wait 3 more months. It was literally physically impossible at this point. Who can live like that. On top of that my rent went up 300 dollars and for what? For me to risk my health and well-being just cause I'm paying rent at an apartment that has a mold issue and completely denies it and it's not right. Its not an option for me to miss work because I'm living in a harmful environment. So please. They may seem like one of the more affordable decent apartment options but don't put your health at risk or your families or pets. The fact that they take no responsibility for covering up such an enormous issue is disgusting and it

DO NOT, AND I REPEAT DO NOT EVER RENT AT THIS COMPLEX. The amount of problems with this place is immeasurable. This place is very old and there is no work put in make to make it remotely livable. The appliances are extremely old and they do everything but replace them. The dishwasher was nonfunctional, smelled of mold, and was hanging out of the wall. Did they replace it? No.. they only nailed it back in. The cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom are old rotting planks of wood that get wood chips everywhere. The bathtubs were painted over when there was mold below the layer. The carpet was already old with stains and they charged me and my roommate to replace the carpet when we moved out. They didn’t even replace the carpet while we were living there and the apartment flooded because a piped busted during the snow storm 2 years ago. Maintenance doesn’t do their job and only noted they fixed things when they didn’t or they did a faulty job. Also, neighbors don’t seem to understand they live in an apartment and decide to blast music for the whole place to hear in the middle of the night. When you complain to management they do nothing about it. AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE ROACHES! The place is absolutely infested! And in my room, I could hear a rat/mouse in the wall’s scratching around. Extremely embarrassing when you have company over. All in all rent here at your own risk.

The worst place to live. No hot water, old appliances, bad carpet jobs, peeling paint on tubs, and the staff are unfriendly. Roach infested and no pest control. However, they want they rent on time.

I rented here for a little over a year. Left for personal reasons, otherwise I would have stayed. They’re affordable, maintenance was always quick to respond to issues, and the office staff was always friendly and helpful. Obviously it’s not a great area of Austin, (I like to call it the corner of the ghetto) but that is something that the complex can’t control and you get what you pay for. I’d definitely recommend moving here if you’re on a budget or a young college student.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They maintenance team sucks. They say they are coming to work on an issue and they don’t. You come my home and it’s still the same from when you put the work order in.
