Carmax honored their online offer and the entire process was so easy! Friendly, efficient, courteous, and professional! “In and out” in about 45 minutes! We were surprisingly pleased and will definitely use Carmax in the future!

Traded in my 2019 civic sport touring for a 2022 Volkswagen Taos. DaMonte helped us and he was amazing! He drove us around the lot to check out all the cars we were interested in so we could narrow our search before test driving. Then he was super efficient at getting the vehicles ready to test drive. Dealership was great and definitely recommend DaMonte! Not pushy and just super helpful and pleasant.

Very happy with the new truck I got. Drove off the lot and noticed a significant braking problem. Brought back to service and Jerry was absolutely awesome. Turned rotors and resurfaced pads and got me out in just a couple of hours. Now it drives awesome. Price was a bit high for the vehicle but the sales team was thorough and helpful.

We got an online quote. When we arrived, they took our key to inspect the vehicle. They gave us exactly what we we quoted online. We gave them our paperwork, and we were in and out within the hour. Great experience!

The car was ready for our test drive and the salesman accompanied us to direct us where to go. I did not need much time to make up my mind as after driving it, I knew it was the one I wanted.

CarMax help center had been super helpful in trying to go above and beyond. But the actual buying experience I went through with the salesperson was super frustrating. They were extremely apathetic in our in person discussions.
One day I was trying to appraise my car, and their IT system went down. Instead of being friendly and making conversation while we waited, or letting me know that this might be a while and I should come back another day, the salesperson walked away into a corner to the other side of the room and sat on their phone.
After waiting 45 minutes, I had to leave but was told I could finish the buying process online, only to find they had lost my appraisal and I had to bring my car in again the next day and miss work.
During the wrap up, the finance team was helpful doing the paperwork, but I did wait in line while several people in that office sat on their phones until a sales person had to ask someone to come and assist me with the paperwork on my behalf.
Not the worst, but not great

I called and spoke with a representative over the phone about trading in my vehicle for another one and she talked to me like I was stupid and didn’t know how the appraisal/trade in process worked SMH just because of my age and credit score. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Learn how to treat customers with respect.

Worst experience ever with the business center. The manager (I wish I would have gotten his name) was so disrespectful. He was so unwilling to help and basically blew me off, and acted like I was trying to sell a stolen vehicle. I will never use carmax ever!

I had to take my car back still under my 90 days. I was prepared for staying all day or having get home with a ride. Not only was I not waiting long at all.. (prob 40 minutes.) I was told my repair was close to the other issue I had. So I was hooked up with a rental and sent on my way. So I didn’t have to wait. Not only was the service fast and very pleasant. When my car was done I was not rushed to get back to pick up my car. I live almost an hour away. Yes I chose CarMax not for distance but I was told it was a decent place to get a used car. Highly recommend CarMax especially this location.

This is the 3rd car I have sold to Carmax. I have always gotten a better price from them than other place. This time - Carvana offered me $600 for the same vehicle that Carmax paid me $5000 for! Their service team was informative and helpful. The time it took was less than an hour and they had other people they were working with as well. I would have given this a 5 Star had I also not tried to buy a vehicle from them or at least test drive. There were 7 different employees at their desks talking to each other. One man at the entrance signing people in for an appointment to test drive. Three couples were ahead of me in chairs waiting to test drive. I put my name on the list and went out to look over the inventory which took about 20-30 minutes. Found 2 cars I wanted to test drive. When I got back inside - nothing had changed. Employees were still gabbing and the people ahead of me were still waiting and my projected wait time was over 2 hours. I took my name off the wait list & left without test driving anything. Even if those employees were not able to help with test drives - it makes the customer feel as if no one is doing their job. AND, if they aren't qualified to do that - you're obviously overstaffed in one area and in DESPARATE need of help in another. I went to 2 other dealerships that were FAR busier than Carmax was and was helped and test driving within 30 minutes. So if you're selling them your car - it's great. If you're looking to buy a car - look elsewhere.
