My son has attended Care Academy since he was 12 months old, and we've always been pleased with the attentive teachers, support staff and facilities. We love how small the school is (only 3 classrooms) and the low student-to-teach ratio (often 3 or 4 students per teacher). Yes, it's a unique set-up -- located on the campus with the women's shelter & sharing some space with a charter high school -- but these realities do not detract from the quality of care; if anything, it adds to the diversity of students and space available.Regarding the review from a 1-time substitute teacher: the single, anecdotal experience she shared does not at all reflect my months of experience with Care Academy.

I'm surprised no one has left a review... Care Academy hands down was the strangest place I've ever had to substitute teach at. If you want your child sitting in dirty chairs, playing with dirty toys, eating food with flies and bugs roaming around...that's on you. It smells like an animal shelter. The facility is filthy, ants, and I had to scrub the chairs because no one else had done it. Dorito crumbs in a toy. Junk everywhere, very disorganized. I felt the staff was fake to my face. One parent didn't like me. Said I spoke to her and her child inappropriately. After 14 years of working with children. I would NEVER speak to anyone, parent or child in that manner. I feel if you had a problem with me. You are grown and could have said something. Instead if telling me the ratio was low and I was free to go home. This facility is also a shelter. You act like your so high end with your prices... Your located in the ghetto. You help ghetto people. I could go on... Next time you don't too much care for someone, address the issue like an adult. Ridiculous.

We really love Care Academy. Our infant son was enrolled there from 3-6 months and his teachers were so caring and positive. I was able to come in and nurse him when I wanted to - they have an open door policy that we really appreciated.
