Absolutely terrible customer experience....do NOT use them for Hunter Douglas blinds.
Our experience with the staff and management at this location was months-long incompetence and unprofessionalism. They mis-measured our windows so the valances are beyond the width of the windows and the depth is far too deep which has completely ruined a custom order and refused to provide any semblance of Customer Service - when we sent photos of how terribly the valances were measured - the only response was "WE think it looks quite nice". No accountability, no response to our inquiry to have them resolve the issues. We are also reporting them to the Hunter Douglas org as an affiliate that should not be representing their brand.

I had the very BEST customer service from the staff at Calico. Over several visits, both Heather & Courtney offered their time, suggestions and performance data to help me make my fabric selections. During each time there, every customer was acknowledged when entering the store. Beautiful fabrics selections with 5-Star customer service. Thank you all!

I have used calico for reupholstering furniture, custom drapes and fabric by the yard for diy projects. They are professional and deliver expert quality in their custom upholstery and drapery. The install was seamless and everyone was easy to work with, especially Morgan! I recommend calico if you're wanting to outfit your home with custom fabric designs. They also offer promotional financing options which is very helpful!

Great store with very friendly, helpful staff. I wish they had a larger selection of fabric, though. My daughter is looking forward to taking classes there and really enjoyed looking at the large format sewing machines.

Julia really helped me find the right fabric for my project. She didn’t try to push me, and she was supportive of my needs to stay within a budget. Great customer service, and her professionalism along with Calico’s very reasonable fabric prices earned my business.

Rude staff. I was the only customer in the store. No greeting. No offer to help. Felt like that moment in “Pretty Woman.” Will never do business with them again. Ever. Big mistake. Huge.

Really strange place lately... I've been going to Calico for years - always felt they had the nicest fabric in town. But I have to say, the staff is not getting any points for friendliness. I understand covid restrictions, but theirs seems a bit excessive. You have to get out of your car to read the small sign on the door, which tells you to call and make an appointment. Then when you call, they want to know exactly what day and time you want to enter their store. When I called, I was literally standing at the door, and I could see two staff members, and one person discussing fabric with staff behind the counter - in the whole store! She finally, with a sigh, said she would let me in to look around. There was no smile, no offering of assistance, just locked the door behind me and walked off. Maybe I wasn't dressed appropriately, or my hair and makeup weren't up to par, or maybe she didn't like my car, but neither woman ever asked if I needed help, or even said hello. I looked around, saw several fabrics I liked, but decided since no one asked if I needed help, I wouldn't give them my business. Think I'll go up to Dallas, or even see if I can find something similar online.

Interesting place to locate fabrics for client projects. Easy to locate with plenty of parking. Location offers large selection of quality fabric samples which are well displayed. Staff helpful and courteous, will help find or think-out-loud with you to select just what is needed or offer suggestions if that is what you need, you may also look around on your own.

We are beyond frustrated with Calico Corners. We cut them some slack because of COVID hours, but we first purchased the fabric and arranged for pick up of 3 pieces in the first week of June (it is now Aug 13). Some of the fabric wasn't in stock; they didn't tell us. We discovered this by calling in late July and asking where our furniture was; they said the fabric would be here on July 31. Earlier this week a new person called us and asked US if we had our furniture. We said no, in fact we don't even know the status. Oh, she said. She'd investigate and get back to us. Radio silence. So we're out $4000 plus two chairs and a couch, and we can't get information. I'm tired of calling them: they should be reaching out to us, and they SHOULD be offering some sort of compensation for their abysmal performance. I'm not holding my breath. Update: I guess after seeing this they called, and announced the new date for the fabric to be Sept 1. We're going in tomorrow to pick another fabric. Our confidence in their word is soooooo small.

This review is for online / web contact of customer service at the Austin Texas store. I contacted th store via the web regarding a fabric they previously carried. The customer service rep had to research the issue but was prompt in responding and helpful. The fabric was no longer being carried by the firm and the new fabric did not fit my need or budget but customer service was great and has been in the past also

Being ignored from the moment you walk into a store where you were going to spend a large amount of money by 4 clerks who saw you, looked at you and chose to ignore you is never a good feeling. My mom was there 10 minutes before me and I was there for 10 minutes after her and NOT ONE person greeted us or asked if we needed help. NOT ONE. There was only one customer in the store with us who was being waited on hand and foot by one clerk. Rude doesn't even come close. It's the closest I've felt to discrimination in a very long time. I would not recommend this place. As an Austin native I am embarrassed that there are people with such poor customer service and discriminating behavior. Please hire more diverse employees and yes, by that I mean people of color.

I had decided to do some extensive redecorating and was prepared to use Calico Corners. Some of the reviews made me think twice, so I started with ordering an upholstered chair. I wanted to see the quality of the work. I thank the reviewers because they were right...don't use them! The chair looked like a kindergarten child did it. I showed pictures to the manager and she agreed that it was poor workmanship. She said that she would contact me the following week. Well, you guessed it, no call. So, I am keeping the chair and counting it as a learning experience. I wouldn't even give it a one star had it not been for a lovely young woman who assisted me in finding what I wanted. Her name was Patricia.
