I realize it's hard to find people to work retail, but they should try a little harder. Two young men at the counter watched me struggle with large, heavy items and never offered help at all. I ended up having to make 3 trips and they watched in a blank stare.

I’m not sure what it is but every time I come shop here this worker is ALWAYS following me… it’s been like that for the past 2 months…. Creepy. Just be careful out there y’all.

One worker there told me I couldn’t use the bathrooms cause she thought I was stealing even though I didn’t have anything. Also another worker followed me around the store the whole time I was there it was a weird and uncomfortable feeling.

It's one of my favorite places to shop. The stocked items are always sufficient with daily specials and great overall pricing. I also enjoy the military discount any day.

Absolutely horrible experience tonight. I have been a loyal big lots customer for almost a decade. I shop at the big lots in Austin all the time. Love their products and love the store. However, tonight was the worst night I’ve ever had in a big lots. I had a lot to shop for (probably close to 250 dollars worth of items) and filled my cart to the brim. It was 8:40 pm and the store closes at 9pm. I was about to check out, when I had a sudden stomach ache. I asked to use the bathroom, but the cashier and manager yelled and me and told me I couldn’t use the bathroom. I pleaded with them that I have a chronic medical stomach condition and needed to use the bathroom, but they rolled their eyes at me, refused to let me go to the bathroom even though the store was 20 minutes from closing. I ran out of the store to the nearest gas station and had to use the bathroom there. I was nearly in tears leaving the store. Not only did the store lose over 200 dollars of items of purchase from a customer, but they lost a loyal customer tonight as well. What kinds of people are these sadistic people? They need to be fired. What kind of a cashier and manager would not allow a customer to use the bathroom 20 min from closing, yell at a loyal customer who has a stomach condition, and then have the customer leave the store in tears and lose a sale of over 200 dollars??? Horrible people!!!

Not the best it used to be a good store. But doesn't seem like it's very well happened anymore. And the people aren't that friendly.

Big Lots in Latin would be 'Lottus Maximus'... Although I like the store, its name makes no sense..!

The place often didn't have price. Check in the proper area was hard to tell the exact price. But you have to wait in line just to find out and it takes a little longer than average

I just had the displeasure of shopping at this big lots and it will be the last time ever. Borderline deceptive advertising. There was a sale for cascade and dawn where if you spent $30, you got a $10 coupon. Additionally, crest products along with old spice, head and shoulders etc. spend $15 you get $5 for a coupon. I had a $15 off if you spend $75 coupon, and I asked the cashier numerous times if it was going go through for these two respective promotions still using the coupon. She assured me yes... and her general manager was not helpful ( cashier was friendly, GM was rude). Anyways.... Transaction goes through. No coupons yielded for other product purchases that I met threshold for. I ask GM and she says oh your coupon savings reduced the total purchase price of other products so it nullified coupons being generated because the total purchase price went under $30 and $15 respectively. This is where I refuse to ever use Big Lots again. I offered a solution instead of GM, which she should be doing she runs the store after all. I say ok, let's reopen the ticket then and I will buy more product to get to $30 and $15 respectively to get the coupons for the promotional items. She says no we can't do that, and it will ruin your existing coupon for $15 off $75 you as a rewards member if we try. Wow.... So there was no fine print saying the big lots coupon would nullify the other brand coupon promotions. I am pretty outraged. She did not offer me a future discount or promotion to satisfy me as a long time consumer. Because of the store manager I don't recommend this store to anyone. She wanted to condescendingly act like I did not understand elementary arithmetic instead of offering a customer resolution for borderline false advertising. I will eat the $15, no big deal, but I will never shop at Big Lots again.

It's like a furniture store with sections of shelves on the sides. It's clean and well organized. The prices are reasonable and with a card they're affordable. I love that they stock items you can't always find in other stores.
