A good place to take your pets when they are just not feeling well.

They didn't honor the military discount, and it cost 269 dollors to get 1 dog its annual vaxs not including rabbis.

Bringing my dog here has been a frightening experience. He was vomiting frequentlyThey forgot to call after I dropped my dog off, and an assistant came back with no advice other than wait and see. They seemed surprised when I asked them about the vomiting, as if they had totally forgotten why I had dropped him off. When diarrhea and scooting started, along with the vomiting, I called and spoke to Cary. Like my last appointment, I wasn't able to talk to the vet herself. Cary sounded bored and disinterested the whole time. I received a wide range of options with no guidance on what I SHOULD do to best take care of my dog.Things finally clicked for Cary when I asked what the vet would do if it was her dog. I got my answer, but was left with this sinking feeling in my stomach that I couldn't trust my dog with these people.I've scheduled every possible screening and remedy with a different Banfield, now. I'm too scared to leave my dog with the one on Research Blvd... with Cary and the elusive veterinarian who doesn't have time to talk to clients. I don't trust them to keep him safe, and I don't think any of them give a damn.

If I could give zero stars. I would. Only took our dog to this location because our usual banfield could not see him sooner. My fiancé spoke with someone who works at this location and explain that my dog would need 2 tests but if one came back negative they would not charge us for it. When my fiancé picked up our dog the person checking him out said “no one would ever say that that is against our policy” and indeed charged us for both tests. $200 for them to tell us he probably has allergies. I am grateful it’s only allergies but how could someone give such bad information and cost?? I have never had such an issue with a banfield location. Do your self a favor and go somewhere else.

This place is only good for yearly shots, if that. They are incapable of doing anything else or providing any real answers. Customer service is the worst. I schedule wait and stay and EVERY SINGLE TIME they call me to change it to drop offs because of a 'scheduling conflict'. Also, my dog has bladder stones and I am basically doing their job for them. I had to go get a second opinion because I don’t trust them AT ALL. Even after showing them all of the tests from the other Dr they REFUSE to give her the appropriate food for her stones. I am FIGHTING them every step of the way … they aren't able to show me any concrete proof of what my dog has and when I show THEM they ignore it. Please if you are ever going to listen to a google review let it be this one …. If you love your pet STAY AWAY. The turn-over rate is so high for a reason - unhelpful, useless, and horrible communication.

Booked an appointment only to show up and for them to say they can’t see my pet even though it was urgent. The front desk person even confirmed I booked it correctly and still turned us away. Showed the screenshot and everything! Very unprofessional. Do not recommend

Very friendly and the veterinarians take their time to explain what's going on with your pet

I brought my healthy indoor cat here for a checkup visit. He came back with ringworm. The front desk staff are very friendly and professional, however every time I have dropped my cat off, I have been told that the estimate for time is about 2-3 hours. About 5-6 hours later, after I called them, they informed me that he is ready to be picked up. If you care about your cat and their well-being, take them somewhere else.

I took my cat there for an initial visit. I was quoted a price, went to pick him up and it was double the price they quoted. They said we went ahead and tested him for something , that I specifically asked them not to. After receiving a notification he was ready for pick up, I still waited 30 minutes for them to release my cat. They are very kind but they do not instill confidence unfortunately and that's important to me and probably most pet owners when choosing the right vet.

Do NOT go to Banfield Pet Hospital on Balcones and 183! VERY poor service! NO ONE was at the front desk for over 8 minutes prior to my appointment. I was told they were short staffed. At least they could have a bell out at the desk when someone has arrived for an appointment. Also, long after Covid, they still require you drop off your pet and leave them there for several hours...even for a routine visit. There is no personal relationship AT ALL. Find a vet that you can talk to face to face and truly cares about your pet.

I have been using Banfield for about a year now and never have had such a bad experience! This location treated me so awful as if they were doing everything in their power to make sure I wasn't helped. I called to get a dose of the flea and tick medication (revolution) that my cat has been on for a year now- she is almost 4 years old. They said of course and put the order in for me, until the next morning I get a call from Mercedes saying they were refusing to prescribe it until she came in for an appointment. She was seen within the year and hasn't had any weight changes. I call again and was told that was not correct and I could come grab it. I got disconnected and when I called back Mercedes answered and immediately told me I was not allowed to get this medication. I asked to speak to the vet and after 5 hours of hearing nothing back I decided to go into the store. I spoke to a kind women at first, while Mercedes stared at me out of the corner of her eye. She eventually butted into the conversation and once the nice women said she would go ask the vet Mercedes followed her into the back. As the door was closing I see them stopped and Mercedes explaining something to her. Then they come right back out, obviously never spoke to the vet, and told me once again they were refusing until I brought her in- to pretty much spend an unnecessary amount of money to weight her! I ended up leaving and calling a different Banfield in my area and they gladly gave me the dose! If you use Banfield just avoid going to this location.
