friendly staff all around! every time I bring my dog here (as nervous as she is) the staff always takes their time with her to make sure she's comfortable. the doctors are very knowledgeable and really helpful when I call with questions. it's very clear that everyone here loves animals. it is also always so clean!

Great experience! Dental Cleaning with tooth removal for 11 year old chihuahua. So impressed with everything. I'll boost most about the communication. Via text and phone call they were notifying me of updates about my dog's status in treatment and what is being found during assessments. I say that plural because they were very through. With three different assessments (inital exam, xray then sedated exam) the best plan was made. Each time I was verbally updated. We have relied on Banfield several times in the past, especially these last few months. We have decided to leave our current vet of 19 years. Ownership has changed a couple of times, and so has the practice.Thank you Dr. Rodriguez and Morgan and the entire team at Banfield today and all previous visits!

It’s abundantly clear they value profits over pets and people. I was gaslit for three years, and scolded and shamed when I brought my cat in for the same problem for three years. They continuously told me there was nothing they could do, then would blame me for not trying something they never told me about. They only care about taking your money and getting you on the monthly plan. I am now free of them, and am happily taking my cats to a vet who actually listens and cares. And surprise - there actually IS something they can do! Don’t take your pets here.

This place is god awful. My cat had never had issues going to the vet until I took her to this location. I had to take my cat back multiple times due to their lack of diligence not following up with her bloodwork, so she had to get blood redrawn. When they had weeks to send the full panel bloodwork which they said they would to another location, they didn’t and my poor traumatized cat and I were stuck waiting for an hour due to them not sending the bloodwork and that location having to call the lab themselves to get the bloodwork. When I had arrived for a bloodwork at another location, I found out they put a note for her poor behavior when they are the ones that treated my cat so poorly.

Do not take your dog to this clinic. I usually don't write reviews online, but this time I feel it's absolutely necessary. First, because I deeply regret not having checked the reviews of this clinic beforehand – it's no surprise they have so many negative reviews – and second, to warn others. Worst clinic possible, terrible service, and they treat your pet like an object. Dr. Rodriguez, the veterinarian, had no patience with my dog. It seems like she hates dogs... it's the first time I've seen a veterinarian who hates dogs. The manager, Laecy (or something similar), was also terrible, had no idea what the issue was, and showed up with no intention of resolving the situation. I explained from the beginning that my dog suffers from anxiety and that it would be necessary to wait about 45 minutes after she took the pre-sedation to calm down. I offered to stay with my dog during this time, and before starting the procedure, the staff said it would not be a problem and that they could wait. However, in a clinic where they only spend 5 minutes with a dog, waiting 45 minutes seemed impossible... The veterinarian waited five minutes and, obviously, my dog was not sedated enough and then returned five minutes later even though I had explained that it was necessary to wait 45 minutes... clearly, she was not sedated. Laecy showed up saying they had already waited an hour and a half, and when I contested this, she corrected herself by saying she hadn't been at the clinic the whole time. In short, if you want your dog to be treated with love and patience by people who like animals, this is definitely not the place. And another thing, be wary of Banfield's "low cost" – it definitely ends up being more expensive.

This one's for all the pet owners who are anxious to drop off their beloved animals to a vet clinic with a 2 star rating. Don't always trust the ratings, friends. As someone who had a traumatic life or death experience with my dog (not a clinics fault, just a freak accident), I have severe anxiety taking my dog to the vet now just from PTSD. And let me tell you, a 2 star rating is NOT nerve calming. But I needed to take her in for her comprehensive and annual dental cleaning (I'd put it off for a while since the ptsd). I'm not discrediting all the other reviews and saying their experiences weren't valid. I just want to throw mine into the mix to give my fellow anxious pet owners a bit of relief if you were also concerned by the lack of positive reviews. When I went into the office, I was greeted by smiling faces and incredibly kind individuals at the front desk. They were very attentive and didn't try to rush any part of the drop off experience. The woman I spoke to was super sweet and explained everything really efficiently. Then the surgical nurse came to take my dog back and she was also incredibly nice and caring towards her. I felt very comfortable trusting her with the nurse, something I don't always feel with vets. The surgical nurse explained everything that they'd be doing in the back room with me and answered all my questions, no problem. I was also able to opt out of the extra services they offer without any kind of judgement. She was even super accommodating for an early pick up since I needed to be somewhere later that day. They had a text service that I opted in for that kept me updated on Ellie's progress (when they sedated her, when she woke up, and pick up time). She ended up going back sooner than I expected and I was able to pick her up (after her couple of hours there waking up from the anesthesia) only a few hours later. It was a great experience with kind, knowledgeable staff that truly seemed like they cared about Ellie, which was my number one concern. Also, no extra charges. Everything, vaccines, meds, procedure etc was all covered under the plan. Paid $0 at the end of the visit. So to those anxious about taking your sweet pet to a clinic with less than glowing reviews, just know that there are good experiences as well like mine. Not everyone who has a good experience writes about it, unfortunately. So I just want to give a little bit of hope to my fellow anxious pet owners!

Dropped off my dog at 1030am for updating vaccine info (got vaccines elsewhere), Lyme vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm meds. Call from tech to go over treatment plan - declined revaccinating if not necessary (they were ready to give 4 more vaccines)... long story short, it sucks.

Very friendly and informative. My cat was very well taken care of and I felt like I was well informed about everything.

They refused to renew my cat's prescription food. The cat has issues with bladder stones and has been on this food for 7 years. For some reason the prescription expires every 6-months so it must be renewed. They refuse to see my cat and refuse to renew the prescription without seeing her. What am I supposed to do, just let my cat die. Banfield doesn't care.

Banfield is a legit scam! Overpriced, make you think you are getting a great deal with their wellness plan but in the long run you are paying more. Impossible to discontinue the plan even if the pet passes away.Worst of all they’ve wrongfully diagnosed my pet last year and even after multiple calls of me letting them know my pet was not doing well they just kept brushing my concerns away, 3 days later I had to put my dog down.I’ve been going to the Saltillo location for almost two years and have been greeted by rude personal aside from one lady, even the doctors have been rude. The final straw is they had the nerve to charge an insufficient funds charge on my account after months of not using their service.SCREW BANFIELD SALTILLO!

I've been taking the pets here since Saltillo opened and called to make an appointment for one of the furballs who was feeling under the weather. I was told that this facility only schedules appointments for surgeries and not regular vet appointments, which is disappointing to hear.Just something for everyone to keep in mind as they're looking for a vet in this area.

I made an appointment at the beginning of the week for my dog who injured himself and was unable to use his hind leg. The appointment was confirmed with the staff a few days later. The day of my pet’s appointment, they canceled it because there was,” not enough doctor coverage.” I explained that he had been injured for over a week, it was Sunday and, due to the late notice, I couldn’t even take him to another vet. There was no attempt at trying to even fit him in for a next day appointment, nor were they willing to do much of anything other than offer me another location’s phone number, which I’m able to do without their assistance. All the caller stated was that there was availability the following Wednesday, which was three more days from my original appointment date. I understand circumstances beyond anyone’s control can occur, but there are professional ways of handling them and this location did not do so. My pet was injured and they wanted me to wait several more days to have him examined. That doesn’t seem like a vet clinic that is truly concerned about the health of their patients.

This vet clinic is a disgrace. Saltillo petowners, please don't give in to how convenient the location is. It's not worth it.They don't care about you or your pets. Their "dropoff" policy is appalling. They make you leave your pet with them, where they lock them in a cage and refuse to see/treat them for hours. My dog HATED it there and would hide under the seats in the lobby whenever we'd bring him. Anyone exploring vet options in Austin should look elsewhere.
