The lender denied a loan without even requesting additional information about the property. They claimed that they want to work with the community through the city of Austin's program for first time buyers, but that just isn't the case. The process was opaque and inflexible.

My husband and I recently bought a house in the Austin area and Stefanie Hernandez was our mortgage loan officer. Stefanie was wonderful! As new homeowners, she walked us through the process and answered all of our questions. She was very helpful, organized, and always highly responsive. She got us our loan without a hitch, which is saying a lot because we bought our house in the middle of a global pandemic! Would highly recommend BancorpSouth, especially Stefanie and her team.

My husband and I recently relocated to the Texas area, when we decided to buy a home we went with a lender recommended by our previous realtor. Mike was extremely patient and thoroughly explained every detail through the process of the loan from our first time speaking on the phone to the final closing table, and meetings at his office in between.
