Best Vet I have ever been too and pricing cannot be beat. Check them out once and you will always come back to them.
Helpful with my old dogs cysts and his teeth. He was put down today. At the age if over 15 years old and was 30 lbs on average. Great father and son practice. I will continue to bring my 10 mouth old puppy to them forever. Amazing human beings. And wonderful staff.

Balcones Animal Hospital is the greatest. They took wonderful care of our dog Lola for over 14.5 years. From the first visit at 10 months old, to our final visit at 15.5 years old, they provided the best of care and treated her like she was one of their family. If I could give them a 10 star review, I would.

I have been using this vet for 7+ years. I am moving out of state and I wanted to leave a note for future clients to say this is the best vet and I would highly recommend. Dr. Jason Wood has a calming, easy going demeanor and is happy to answer all questions about your pet. I have cats and a dog, I have had them all seen by Dr Wood and also had their teeth cleaned regularly. They offer quality service at an affordable price. A teeth cleaning usually costs about $200 if you don’t need any extractions. An office visit only costs $30. The receptionists who answer the phone are not very friendly but don’t let that deter you, the drive up to McNeil is well worth it. It’s a family owned business and Dr Wood Sr is still dedicated to his practice and seeing clients. I’m so grateful for their services. Also be sure to say hi to their awesome cat, Squirrel!

Dr Wood is a great doctor but this place is SO incredibly understaffed that there is simply no way to see a doctor no matter how sick your pet is. I was also told that there are no plans to add additional docs. The end result is that we can only use them for annual exams. For anything else they tell us to go to an emergency vet. This is the 5th time in 4 months that we are told they can’t see our pet :(

Great veterinary service. Unlike most other vets, this practice is independently owned, so the focus is on pet care, not maximum profit. Staff is friendly and helpful.
