I’m mostly here to leave a holistic review. The staff is nice and attentive when you’re at the shop in person, but if you try to text or call you likely won’t hear back from them.They did a great job on my car, but they didn’t tell me ahead of time that it wouldn’t be ready at on the original time that we planned for me to pick it up (I left it with them over a 5 day period while I was out of town). A quick text to let me know it would be another day or even a few would have saved me a lot of time and headache.After I picked it up, I realized the amount felt higher than it should be so I texted. No response, so I went in person, no big deal. They very kindly broke down the cost for me and realized that they did make a mistake and list something that they didn’t end up using/needing to do to fix my car. We agreed on a reimbursement of that amount sent via original form of payment. When I texted for an update two weeks in, they said it was a hold up with the bank and they would reach out with an update when they had one. Reasonable enough, it was a debit card transaction so ik those can be weird. At nearly four weeks, I messaged again for an update to no response.It’s really difficult to not be frustrated about poor communication. After stopping by in-person again, I was able to receive the refunded amount.I updated to 3 stars only because of their in-person hospitality and willingness to refund the mistake.

Thought I would have a great experience with this place after reading the reviews and meeting Keith in person. I went in for an overheating problem and that day communication on the problem was slow. I had to reach out to them multiple times and was told I would receive and estimate and update shortly and again had to reach out on my own. The original pick up date for the car was also pushed back but there were days when I received no communication despite being told I could pick the car up that day.Upon picking up the car, there was an empty coke bottle left in my car but that was an easy fix.A few weeks later I got an oil change and was informed that my fuse box cover went missing. I have reached out a couple of times to ACC and was told they would get back to me that day yet it’s been two weeks and no communication. There was also a piece of the car not revolted down. Still hoping to hear back about the fuse box cover as an electrical problem is not something I need with my car and especially for the price I paid for repairs.

My vehicle has been there for over 2 weeks now. They don't answer the phone, no return calls from my few voice messages, and it takes 3-4 days to get a response through emails. I literally have to drive over 45minutes each way in traffic to speak to someone and am STILL being told that they're "running diagnostics." I used to get my cars serviced by them when they were in East Austin and it seems like service has went downhill since they've relocated to Lamar.

The Austin Car Care team was very helpful. They were able to get my car in quickly and were able to quickly diagnose the problem with my car’s AC. The owner clearly knows his stuff. Everyone was friendly, and it reminded me of a mom-and-pop place. The only difficulty we had is that there is very little parking, and we could have used a heads-up on that.Services: Auto A/C replacement

I had issues with the battery after I just bought the vehicle; they discovered that the battery was not the only thing that caused the electrical problems. They fixed the problems fast and dropped it off for me because of work schedule. Overall, I am very happy!Services: Battery

Do not go here for an oil change. I’ve been getting oil changes for years at take 5 and other locations. Most of the time I’ve paid anywhere between $60-$80 sometimes $100 if I add new wipers. This place, charged me $127 for the full oil change and took a full hour to complete it. Save your time and your money, go somewhere else. Trust me.The people are nice but the price I was charged is not a smart choice when you can get the same service done at take 5 oil change for 1. 50% cheaper, and WAY faster.Please go elsewhere I’m begging you.Service: Oil change

The Staff at Austin Car Care is second to none. They are very professional, quick to respond to your questions or request, and they have integrity which is hard to find in Auto Repair shops today. They only want the best for their customers. Not to mention they have some of the best mechanics in Austin !Services: Transmission

I have been going to Yost at this location for years, so I was surprised when I walked in the door and found out that it had changed owners. I decided to take a chance because everyone in the office was so friendly and I’m very happy I did. They were extremely communicative, giving me timely updates, Keith answered all our challenging questions, and sent clear PDFs of my choices. They did the work fast and kept all their commitments. They even took my car to get a state inspection. I’ll for sure be going back to them.Services: General repairs & maintenance

Really hate leaving bad reviews. Went in with a check engine light. They ran the diagnostics and said it was something minor - some hose was damaged. When I picked up next day, car was still having the same issue. Turns out the issue was something else. That part is fine. The estimate for the new repair was much higher than other repair centers. That part is fine. The issue is, the diagnostic charge alone was $155 here. Typically a diagnostic charge runs $50-$100. But to go 50% more than everyone else stings. And I was never informed that the diagnostic fee was that high. The people are super friendly and responsive. Just had a bad experience.

this place had my car for over a month and every time they got in touch with me they gave me a different quote every time then they try to charge me double what the insurance company had already paid. Do not take your car there.

Dodge Charger wouldnt start one day, picked this place at random because it was close and had good reviews, tow truck got the location wrong twice and they still got my car fixed in a decent time and were super accommodating of the entire situation. Repairs were a phenomenal price to the point I brought it back the next week for further repairs. Highly recommend and if ya see him give my best to Keith!

Repair went from 4 days to 3-4 weeks. Very little to no communication. Even after all that time my car was not fixed. Told me it was one thing and gave me a quote then turns out I need a whole new engine and they want a lot more money. If you don’t know the problem just say that, guessing and trying to keep charging someone isn’t it. I highly do not recommend. Thanks for going through my trunk and taking my shoes. Thought it was funny whenever I pulled in with my bus those garage doors would close.Service: Engine repair

I've been having my Mercedes serviced at Austin Car Care for several years now and thing I like most is not the good work performance but also the fact that they stand behind there parts giving me a lifetime warranty on certain things done.i just recently had engine work done and my Mercedes is back running good thank you Keith and crew for your good work.Services: Electrical repair
