As a POC, and first-time shopper, I felt like I was treated with dignity and respect by the many volunteers I interacted with and walked past. Absolutely can't wait to come back here, and already have a date set up to bring my friend with me so they can see how awesome this place is too! Thank you volunteers for making this a welcoming space!

This is one of my favorite thrift stores. I find everything I need here: furniture, art, clothing, linens, and toys for the grans. The volunteers are friendly and helpful. I’m always amazed that there is a small crowd of folks lined up before 8am waiting for the doors to open at ten. I wonder what I’m missing out on, but I don’t have the time to wait.

The staff at ALA is always nice and pleasant to be around. They are very professional. Great prices on items and I adore shopping there. Wonderful environment!!!

I walked in and not one of the ladies working there said hello to me, I walked by several of them and even made eye contact with a few and not one peep. But everyone else shopping (mostly older people) were enthusiastically greeted and given a ton of god bless yous. I think its funny how old people say young people have no manners when all I've experienced is older people disrespecting the younger crowd. Maybe try to treat everyone with respect.

I really love this place ~ the prices are great, and I always seem to find something great each time I visit. It's volunteer run, so that keeps overhead down, and that's reflected in the prices. Everyone is really nice and always offer to hold your pitches at the front as you continue to shop. It certainly feels more upscale when you visit. Definitely stop by if in the area!

I visited this place while in town. I got some great deals! I will say if it wasn't for the sales, the prices would have been too high. The entrance can be a little hard to find, an obvious sign would be nice. The staff was super friendly, the store was kept up nicely. Will definetly go back when in town again.

Cleanest, most organized thrift shop I’ve ever been in. Highly highly recommend. Visited 7-17-21 on a busy afternoon. Friendly senior citizen staff who take pride in their work. Great care was taken with my purchases- I bought a fragile piece of crockery and it was bubble wrapped and put in a box without me asking and at no charge. Convenient corner location and ample parking. A must visit when thrifting in Austin.

What a great thrift store - a step above most in terms of both quality and condition of items. I'll definitely be back. Check their hours - not open on some days of the week.

Great resale store, with excellent stock and very fair prices. The volunteers are always helpful and friendly, too. I look forward to returning when the virus ends.

Today was my first visit to this thrift store and I liked it. It was reasonably priced, clean and organized. The staff was nice and helpful. I was mostly looking in the household items, books and other items area but they did have clothes and shoes as well. I did buy a few items outside of my purpose for today (finding upcycle projects) and will definitely go back for another visit.

Lots of good treasures in this place with reasonable pricing as well. Grab it if you find your treasure though because they can get busy and as you walk around pondering the purchase, someone else might just find the same treasure. Yes, I speak from experience lol. Friendly staff as well.
