Its not Arlans anymore-This place was formerly minimax. Back then it was like 50's time warp. A few years ago it was taken over by Arlan's, a small chain. It was a big improvement, more produce, better products, better hours and more. As of Spring 2021 it has been taken over by Fresh Plus. As of Sept 2021 they are still re-arranging and re-stocking the store so in some respects it is a work in progress. But what I've seen so far is a reduction in the variety of products they carry (especially produce) . You don't shop here if your on a budget as well.They do have an expanded beer and wine selection which seems to take up about 1/5 of the store now, I guess that's what sells at greater margins. The other "neighborhood" grocery stores have similar footprints for booze.Hours got cut (they close at 9) from Arlans, not quite as much charm either. The last of the mini-max era people have left as well. We'll see how it finally shakes out.It still a good place to go to pick up something fast (if they ever quit moving things around and you can find it).

Although it is no longer Arlan's (it is now a Fresh Plus) the market at Crestview is crucial to prevent the area from becoming a food desert. Good selection too.

Arlan's was just bought by Fresh Plus, so be prepared for changes in this nice little neighborhood grocery store. BTW, I like FP, but I know their prices are somewhat higher than many others.

Lovely little local grocery store that has a wonderful beer selection. has a lot of the basics if you don't feel like running to one of the major grocery stores. Seems to have pretty good fruits and vegetables in season.

We love Arlan's! We shopped at Crestview Minimax for many years and when the Prellop family decided to retire, we were concerned about losing our neighborhood grocery store. Arlan's made nice upgrades to the store and increased the variety and quality of products, adding organics and local goods. The prices are very reasonable and the service is always friendly.

I don't write many reviews but i felt compelled to in this case bc of how pleased I was with the whole experience. WHAT A LIFESAVER!! We're in the midst of this unprecedented winter storm that has decimated much of the country and especially TX. Yesterday (Wednesday 2/17/21) I posted a couple of comments (Nextdoor & Facebook) asking if anyone knew of any grocery stores that were open and didn't have lines snaking around the block like a couple of HEBs that were briefly open. An old friend of mine told me about a locally owned neighborhood grocery that she lives a couple blocks away from called ARLAN's MARKET. I was so happy; walked right in and was greeted by a friendly/busy staff. Its not huge by any means (about 1/2 the size of a Randall's but still, I got everything I needed and didn't even have to wait in line to checkout. Has a great cozy/neighborhood vibe. Everyone there from customers to staff was so nice. I love to SHOP LOCALLY and have certainly found my new grocery of choice!

It's nice to have a local grocery store in the neighborhood, however the staff seem less then friendly or helpful. I've never had a pleasant experience at this place.

Wow. Stepping into this store is definitely like stepping back in time. It's been in this neighborhood for a long time. I remember many years ago it's brand name was Minimax. I actually visited the store to use the restroom. The employees are always friendly and the store is always clean. I usually stop here for my lunch break when I'm working close by. It's convenient to grab a snack and a drink. Stop in sometime and get some goods.

What's not to love about Arlan's? Local small groceries stores are hard to find, and Arlan's manages to have everything you need from the big stores but never feel too crowded or overbearing. I feel blessed to have such a wonderful local favorite in the neighborhood
