one...ONE refrigerator has a price listed..that's it ONE! This tells me so much about a business. Hard to shop a place with a valuable piece of the puzzle missing such as the price. While the price is by no means the most important part I still want to be able to look thru items in my price range.

My AC broke on a Friday night, and this was one of the only places in Austin that would sell AC capacitors to a retail customer, let alone on a Saturday. The sales guy was very nice and super helpful, they didn't have exactly the capacitor I needed, but he showed me how I could wire separate capacitors for the fan and herm, and it worked out.

I called these guys looking for a microwave part. They were really helpful and ended up directing me to a website where I could order this part myself directly rather than ordering it through them. Like the Santa in the Miracle on 34th Street movie. I will absolutely check these guys out again next time I need something they handle.

I did not purchase from here because I live in FL. However, when trying to learn about my new washer Appliance Associates had great videos that were more helpful than the manufacturer! If I lived there I would definitely purchase ALL my appliances from them!

If it was possible to rate lower than 1 star, I would, & I have never rated anyone a 1 star before. Went in to pick up an order for some mini refrigerators, and the owner / manager was beyond rude. Waited over 30 minutes after he stated someone would be around shortly to assist. When I asked if I should come back another time or if I could load the items myself in a very respectful and courteous manner, he became enraged. He pushed himself away from his desk, threw his glasses down and advised me he didn't care what I did as my work had been bothering him for the refrigerators. When I asked him if I could help out by loading the units myself he very loudly said he wasn't letting anything go without signed paperwork. I told him there was no cause for him to be have such a poor attitude towards me and was going to leave. He replied, "I think you should.". Have never been treated this poorly for absolutely no cause in my life. Stay away from this place at all costs!

My washer seal recently broke. Other folks told me it would take three months to get the part in. Kurt was able to find the part and get it delivered within a week. Talk about great customer service! He even recommended someone to come out to install the part for me and they got me on the schedule for the next day! There aren’t many businesses like this anymore! Thanks so much!

I'm updating this review because the main issue has been resolved. I had a very frustrating 7 months waiting for a refrigerator I paid for in May. I was told it would arrive in 2 weeks. In mid-June, I was told it will be July 13. In mid-July I called to find that the new delivery date is August 31 - that's more than a month away. Each time I called to check, I was told it would be one or two months in the future before I'd get the fridge. Finally I got it at the end of December.I was provided a loaner fridge at no charge while waiting for the new one - that's a big plus.The folks at Appliance Associates were helpful and friendly in my interactions with them.I'd give 4 - 1/2 stars if I could. I know the delay was not the fault of this business - everyone is having delays in appliance deliveries. The main reason for less than 5 is that Appliance Associates did not inform me about the delays - I had to call and ask every time. Also, they didn't follow through on promises to call the manufacturer to check on it when I called them on a Saturday.

Absolutely the very best selection and installation in town. Not only was Kirk exceedingly knowledgeable about all their appliances, but he was also beyond patient with my endless questions. The delivery and installation were totally seamless, fast and professional. Appliance Associates is the gold standard for customer service!!!

If you are looking for a local business to buy a new washer and dryer then give this place a shot.If you are looking for parts make sure you start the conversation with the model of the device and not the part.I spent most of today searching around Austin for some parts for an old GE dryer.I found the part elsewhere in Austin for less than Appliance Associates. Then came the job of replacing the 30a fuse.When I called and asked if they sold the fuse they said no. I called back and gave the dryer model and they said they did have it but it was 35 dollars and it would come in a few days.A package of 5 on Amazon was 38 dollars. Now I don’t blame them for the price point on things like this. It makes sense that they make money on charging parts on repair orders. Just know if there is a part that you can find elsewhere you should seek elsewhere.The salesperson was super great and informative!In short if you want to support a in the neighborhood family business come here!Below is a picture of the “new” and “old” part.If you try to ask for a part like this by reading this label you will be unsuccessful. Instead tell them your dryer model first.

We've purchased multiple appliances from Appliance Associates over the past 10 years and have been completely satisfied both with the items and with their service department. Recently we needed a hard-to-find part for our 20-year old wall oven and they had exactly what we needed. We have always found them to be friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Their prices are very fair and, in this time of so many small businesses having to close, it feels good to support a long-time local business and get reliable appliances and service as well.

It's been two months and I still don't have a dishwasher. It just keeps getting pushed back. The dishwasher was supposed to arrive tomorrow, and I just got notified again that it won't be here anytime soon. It would have been a better experience if more appropriate expectations were set with their customers.
